That's what happens when the owners of companies are accountants instead of being musicians. You see the same thing in many fields now... from cars to video games... and the effect is always the same; You end up with a product which is a formula of what the main demographics want instead of something which is a creative outlet for someone with talent. Taking risks and making something for a smaller group cuts into the profit and doesn't generate the ad revenue.

@werebesties What's crazy is . . . a woman once told me that divorce is like death. At first I didn't understand, but now, I do. My husband and I have been separated for a second time for two years this time and we have a three-year-old. This songs makes me cry so hard and wish we could work it out . . . because, through all the pain, I still remember the love we shared . . . and I know we still love one another. Yes, divorce is like death. I get it now.
