I just looked at the statistics on this song today and I can't believe that in the last seven days this video has been viewed in classrooms in 44 states! You inspire me. Watch this space for more to come.
Thanks MsDavisGrade2 for your comment! It's always great to hear that the song is continuing to be used in classrooms around the US. I hope your students enjoy it. More to come soon!
Dude ..your from the US and your repeating this nonsense ?? OMG Washington was NOT the first president ...why are you teaching nonsense to small children ???
I am using this for my lesson in the library this week as we study President's day. It is the hottest spreading tune in the entire school. We LOVE it!! We have even made hand motions to go with this song. Thanks!
@brandydandy93 Thanks for your comments. It's great to hear that you are using the song. Being a substitute teacher I get to have fun with it in classrooms across the county and the response has surprised me. I was singing the song with a 1st grade class the other day and i made a mistake with the lyrics and the kids corrected me. It gave me a strange feeling when I realized that these children might end up teaching this to their own children one day. Thanks again
Hi Jake! Thanks for your comment. Sorry I didn't catch up with you earlier this week but thank you for watching. It was fun teaching my old 1st Graders who are now in 4th and 5th Grades.
Thanks again
Mr. B
To Flanno673: I have been thinking about the idea of the first Australian Prime Ministers. Interesting how we never really look at them in school or what they did for the country. I'l have to take a look at the curriculum and see what History looks like for Australian kids.
Hi Mr.B you might not remember but my name is jake and i was in your class in first grade at meridian i tried to find you on Monday but i cant anyways just wanted to tell you you are a very talented person good video!!!!
I loved hearing the kids sing this!!! It's obvious that they loved singing (and playing) it!!! The fireworks for George Washington made me laugh hard. Definitely a good kids song!!
This is great! My son listened 10 times before we finally said we need a rest. This is "Nurse Terri from Island View, by the way. We miss you! Keep in touch with us once in a while. What an educational treat!
Peter! This is David Jones, music teacher from Island View! Awesome job! I'm going to show this to your now fourth grade class today, and we might even sing it together! Good to see you! Love to play with you again some time. I've written out the lyric with one quick question, "James Madison was number five, he made good feelings come to life" Correct words?
Excellent educational video. Melodic voice. Catchy tune, too! Not sure that is a "lovely mid atlantic accent" though...sounds a bit more like something from Oz. Way to go, mate!
Wow this is fantastic such a lovely mid atlantic accent and so clear - never get that from a foreigner. Could you do this for the first five Govenors???
i love this song helps me learn things!

Hi Dave, thanks for listening.The lyrics are;
George Washington was number one, he had the British on the run
Then John Adams number two, a peace negotiator true
Thomas Jefferson number three, bought more land for you and me
James Madison number four, he made us stronger than before
James Monroe was number five, he made good feelings come to life
The "Good Feelings Era" was during his presidency.
