  • amazing cars!

  • Damn, the maybach weighs as much as a panzer tank

  • What's that? Simon Cowell on a track day?

  • this my dream car that i will get when i successfully build my corporate empire in the world hahaha ^^

  • If I could put my house on wheels and hurl it around a race track, and give cars a run for their money in the process, I too would do this.

  • Both cars is with Mercedes V12 engine tuned by AMG !

  • oh no! a maybach on a track!!! it's not designed for roads with turns!!!! my life has lost all meaning and the world will now end in my idioticly tiny mind!!! this is such a big deal! what ever will i do?!?!??!

get the fuck over it, bitches.

  • It's protective driving. I'm pretty sure the driver of the Maybach is gonna be transporting some important government official so hes gonna need some evasive training. :) lolz

  • @the f****ing idiots rated high above...(lukekobilan and joac1408)

It's safer to drive this "monster" engine on a racetrack than on a street, for you as a driver and for the others in traffic. But I don't expect a 10-yr old and his 9-yr old sister to understand what driving is all about

  • @vladkpone , it's safer to drive any car on a track rather than the street, no matter how powerful.

If you honestly think, for one second, that a 6000lb limosine has any place being on a track course, then maybe it's you who's the "f***ing idiot who doesnt know what driving is all about"

  • something that jeremy clarkson would do

  • i wonder if they know some maniac is tearing up their track with a 6000 pound car

  • Really risking a mayback?

  • @mswaheds if you have the money to own the car you mights as well enjoy it Cars are made for driving they don't put a twin turbo V12 in it just so it can sit around at 30 MPH

  • if you tighten the suspension it would take the turns way better there's a button right by the drive shifter. you put it on Sport sus. 2

  • maybach on a racetrack lol, what else do u want on a racetrack a limo?

  • Aqui no Brasil um carros destes custa o equivalente a uns US$ 700.000,00

  • 1) Where's the S65 AMG? A match between the Maybach and S65 AMG would have been interesting considering the price difference between the two, $100K vs $400K+

    2) People need to remember that the Maybach is a 6000+lb car and still does 0-60 in 5 secs! When you put things in perspective you come to realize how much of a rocket ship this car is.

  • @Teufel916 2010 S65 is 200k btw.

  • I could probably run faster times than this fucking thing

  • A maybach!? on a racetrack!? Are you mad!?

  • @joac1408 agree

  • Fuck that, Maybach is for me to take a dump in.

  • maybach is for luxury not racing you retard

  • @moneer194 well said

  • Comment removed

  • I reckon this is a lame race ever!! Pathetic!!

  • What a stupid competition!

  • Where's the S65 its supposed to be competiting against?

  • @bryanb16th thats true

  • it is a Maybach it's not a S65

  • imo the most basic difference is: an S65, you drive...a Maybach, you get driven in!

  • i drove the S 550 on a speedway near tacoma,wa once n i must say that car is awesome but i think the S 65 AMG is way much faster altough none off em can go faster then 160 mph (250 kmh) that really sucks i prefer a porsche or maybe a corvette

  • That´s an electronic speed limiter, but you can easily remove it.

  • ask for the 0-3-0 option, it raises your limiter to 189 mph on the S65

  • 189 mph might be its limit so is good enough =)

  • @patrick47506 on the S63 and S65 AMG you can pay an additional $8,000 for the AMG Performance package and have the limited increased to to 186mph not the standard 155 AMG limit.

  • first of all this is a very stupid comparison because of the fact the mybach is owned and operated by mecedes benz and if you look at the s class and Maybach models you'll find maany design similarities but the is a point to the maybach

one point is simply the interior: the Maybach's interior and additional luxury options are second to none

only Rolls-Royce should be compared to a maybach

not its own little brother per say

  • 8 Million? you sir are a retard.

they cost between $400K to $600K

  • Why would anyone buy a Maybach, when you can have a S65 AMG for half the price?? RETARDS. lol

  • Brilliant question. The ride of the S65 is much more harsh. S65 is meant to be driven, the Maybach is meant to be driven in. They are two different concepts, though the engines and horsepower may be similar, if not exact. The curtains and the seats in the back seat in the Maybach are evidence of this. Hope this helps with your confusion that Maybach buyers are retards.

  • Maybe most ppl just buy the Maybach just for the NAME and prestige that goes along with it. Mechanically its exactly the same car + a little more luxurious amenities on the inside i guess.

The looks are pretty much the same, and whats the point of buy a car that doesn't look special on the outside if you're gonna pay that much money for it? Get a Phantom instead.

  • Who knows, but I've driven an S65, and been driven in a Maybach, and the suspensions are VERY different. The S65's suspension is much more stiff, and the ride is much more harsh than the Maybach's ride, which is plush. It's a BIG difference. People wanting the S65 would also look at the Bentley Flying Spur Speed, not the Maybach. Despite what you protest, they are different cars.

  • That's a stupid thing to say.

Have you ever been in either of them?

  • No i haven't, but i have driven a S550, and in terms of luxury that car has everything imaginable, buying a Maybach is like paying 200grand more for a S65 AMG plus the badges. I'd rather have a phantom if you want the prestige of owning a 400,000 dollar car.

  • You're right. The S550 has every luxury I can imagine aswel but when you step into a Maybach you all of a sudden think.

Hey.. I do need a window that I can blind/unblind with an electric current. And hey.. I do need seating that can be adjusted in every way imaginable not just like the back seats of the S550.

There is a huge distance between the Maybach (and then especially the 62) and the S-class. Also the Phantom can't stand up the the Maybach.

  • The interior of the Phantom is, how rediculous this may sound, inferior to that of the Maybach. (Don't get me wrong they're both the highest available but there's a difference...)

Another thing is that when you buy a Phantom you associate yourself with a certain group of people. The Phantom has, unfortionately, gathered a pimp car image because it's so popular with rappers and their videoclips.

I'd have a S550 over a Phantom any day.. just because of the phantoms image.

  • ur right, maybach is maybach, sick as hell

  • Where is Mercedes S65 AMG W221????!!!

  • It`s a Mercedes-Benz .

  • Hey idiot; look at the hood medallion: MAYBACH.

  • mercedes owns maybach, so even though it isnt actually a mercedes. technically it is because mercedes owns maybach

  • Yeah....and technically we all come from monkeys.

  • i think he ment that the both cars have the same engine

  • the maybach are not race car but a uuhm chil car or so

  • you dont say if the maybach is a race car or not Mercedes manufactures say that.

  • Man the 57 Spezial didn't do badly at all. Impressive.

Two of my dream cars, Maybach and Mercedes S65s.

  • awsome !

  • The Phaeton blows both of these into the weeds.

  • that's awesome that you mentioned the Phaeton man...To me the Phaeton is one of the finest cars that man have ever created, what other car do you know that can drive 185 MPH all day in 120 degree heat and keep the inside temperature at 71 degrees? Fabulous car, and affordable thanks do all the douche bags out there that give a shit about brand recognition. Most say the Bentley Flying Spur is a bad ass car, and don't realize that the Phaeton is basically the same damn car!!! Great comment!

  • yes, but the phaeton is basically the audi A8 but much heavier due to its steel body (A8 = aluminium). i like the phaeton too because it is pure understatement and very luxurious, but, as i said, a bit bulky and heavy - thus reducing agility and gasoline efficiency dramatically compared to its lighter brother, the A8.

  • This is true. I love the Audi A8L.

  • Thats what I own.

Best car I have ever driven... smooth, fast (for its size)sexy as hell, and is like driving in a recliner.

    Audi Baby!!

  • Congrats on the car Jman. I agree, it has the "quietest" styling, yet the most beautiful styling of any car on the road, when you see the A8L, you wouldn't know that it was a car worth almost 100 grand! Those damn germans sneaked up on us again

  • If I had a choice though, I'd buy the S8 and get the V10! My next car is a Phaeton just because you can get them so cheap, for the money you are paying and you are getting so much car for it.

  • absolutely - they are totally underestimated (probably because of the VW badge on them, people who can afford the phaeton rather buy a S-class, 7Bmw or A8).

well, it depends...if you like luxury and comfort, the W12 would be the better choice, the S8 is a bit stiffer (suspension) and it's a driver's car, you wouldnt want to sit in the rear seat in an S8 :)

  • Damn dude, you're like the Holy Grail of German knowledge. Great tips. I never really thought about that. I would much rather have the comfort. I'm over the "ride on rails" phase. I'm more for "ride on clouds" now! lol thanks for the great info!

  • oh thanks for the compliments, well i am certainly not, but im glad i could help you a little. well the whole thing about 12 cylinders is the comfort - the crankshaft revolves twice (720degrees in one stroke cycle) so, if you got 12 cylinders, the crankshaft is "pushed" every 60 degrees of its revolution by a single cylinder (4 cylinder engine - every 180°), consequently giving it a much smoother engine run (compared to engines with less cylindres) - thats the reason why the "real" comfort cars

  • have 12 cylinders, apart from them being powerful and big.

but if you really like massive torque, acceleration and very very high gasoline efficiency (in relation to its size and power), you should buy the A8 4.2 TDI, which i a diesel of course but does 0-60 in well under 6 seconds and only about 9.5L/100km (dont know about the miles per gallon, sorry). i think if you drive one, youll never ever think of being another car. cheers

  • "of buying another car" i meant, sorry.

  • DAMN YODA. "SMART YOU ARE" lol

  • Those things are all over Manhattan. ugly car if you ask me.

  • I saw too much body roll, and where is the Mercedes?

  • Maybachs are only for ppl with drivers

  • still would be fun to drive

  • That's partially true but, The 57 series aren't. It's the ridiculously long 62 series that are treated more like limos than cars.

  • yea, those 62's seem to me to be too long to be used as a car, but are too short to be a limo

  • and where is the S 65 AMG in this video???

  • Sales are dismal, because they are aimed at the uber-rich, not middle class families. Maybachs are one of the few truly exclusive cars out there, and they make you pay for that exclusivity

  • The only bad part about putting a Maybach on a track is the cornering, everything else is exquisite (speed, acceleration).

  • Man o Man. That thing handles like af truck on a wet road...

  • with all that weight, I don't disagree.. That car isn't made for this

  • I don't understand why they don't put carbon ceramic brakes on these large cars. Or, do they?

You'd think if they want the best of the best for Maybach, they'd be putting on ceramic brakes.

  • When in comes to speed the S65 will beat out the Maybach, the Maybach is still very powerful, but meant more for luxury when the S65 is very luxurious, but meant for speed.

  • You mean "When IT comes" right? you might want to check your spelling before posting as a SMART ASS... My best regards...

  • Hah, I guess noone can make mistakes while commenting on a video that is read by pure morons.

    Fuck Off.

  • Why drive a Maybach on a track? That is like putting a cruise ship in a jet ski race! Kida' not for that. Don't get me wrong it is a great car and has TONS of power but this is kinda' pointless!

  • i agree the 57s has the exact same engine as the s65, same horses and torque and liters etc...but the 57s is over a foot and a half longer then the s65 and a quarter of a foot wider AND 1000lbs heavier...when people have money they do crazy things. theres people taking phantoms on tracks for fun or driving veyrons like it's a go kart burning all the rubber and just acting stupid, but their mentality is if you have the money...why not be a complete retard because you can just buy another one? bah

  • Yeah, the RR Phantom is a great car to rive aggressively though! Have you ever been in one or driven one? I like to see people driving thier fast cars fast though. The only people around here who do it are people in M5 M6 and Mazzeratti grand sports nothing too powerful. There are the odd Gallardo and F430 drivers too but they are always old executive types who never do above 85. Kinda' lame.

  • @lukekobilan

why not ^^ if he wanted to see how it goes on the track xD sure it looks unusual but who care?

  • I never saw the transition from Maybach to Mercedes, thats how fast these cars are!

  • The Phantom race track video had much less engine noise and tire squeal

  • where is the s class?!?!

  • That thing corners like the USS Nimitz

  • like whats the point here??????

  • DITTO!!

  • Perhaps I missed it, but where was the W221? Was this some sort of comparison test or what? Please explain...........

  • w221 is just the model type. its different from w220 in that its body is different interior , w220 is 2006's model and w221 started in 2007 with the curved back and like the infrared vision in the speedometer

  • Understood, except that doesn't explain where the S-Class was in this AMG S-65 vs Maybach 57S video. It sounded like there might be a comparison test between the two and only the Maybach showed up.

  • if i have maybach and do like you i will be stupid .. You are crazy rich man to do this loool

  • Mercedes Benz S65 AMG 604 Hp. But It Acceration Speed Slow Because It Automatic.

  • do you see one mereedes s class amg with manual gear?

  • The Maybach is ALSO an automatic, so what's your point?

  • this is probably the first time he ever drove a car like this so he is just over excited

  • lol why the guys sound mad :p for maybach racing , well i see thats cool :>

  • this is maybach guys, made for comfortable cruises not for races

  • no shit. might as well get grandpas bently out of storage

  • Dont drive a maybach like this, its supposed to be cruised along.

  • Ok... the verdict... not agile.

  • That car is almost 3 tons and it is racing around the track fairly well, impressive.

  • the car weights around 2,500kg at its most, I believe it's around 2,100kg, there is a long way to 3 tons...

  • Car weighs 5800 lbs.

  • I love how much that thing dips on the corners :D lol That car doesnt belong at the track...

  • Maybach exelero is best car in world :)

  • i`ll say its the best car in the world:)

  • Then you'd be a fool :)

  • Wrong.

  • it is the best car i have it lol rides like a jet from vegas to cali.

  • I prefer a 62S

  • There's something funny about a huge boat gliding around those corners faster than many sports cars.

  • lol naice car

  • LOL, thrashing a three tonne luxury barge from bend to bend...

  • That Mybach is just so quiet on the inside even through the brutal acceleration it's being put through

  • good story???

  • And where is the W221?? In the boot of the 57S? LOL

  • those poor tyres :D

  • aq. ..

  • Nice!
