I think the solo Troy attempted here was in a sort of Robot Rock style which was the basis for the self titled album, which in my opinion ultimately didn't sound right because this is the only track on the CD that kind of broke the Robot Rock style in effort for a more Groove orientated cut.

Apparently, according to Josh, playing the first album in it's entirety has changed how the writing is going for the new album. It is going to be more groove oriented and heavy, like the first album. Which makes me a very, very happy man.
