I'm not a Notre Dame fan, but you do realize that their announcer says, "And now the greatest of ALL college marching band fight songs, the Notre Dame Victory March!" And do you think people at MSU or MIchigan or Purdue agree with that? Wake up and quit being such a homer.
Watch a NATIONAL telecast by CBS or ESPN of a Big Ten game and see how many times Brent Musberger or Kirk Herbstreidt refer to the "marching chiefs" and how "world-renowned" they are. Never. Get real......I'm sure they are well thought of in Florida. But up here, its MSU, OSU, Michigan and Wisconsin.....PERIOD!

You thinking that you know anything about the reality of this is the only imagining going on here. It takes 25 seconds from the time the hornline steps onto the field to the end of the cadence. Also, check out the sound of the crowd at 1:34. I doubt a digital camera made primarily for shooting still photos can pick up more of a roar than that over the HUGE BAND that is on the field. Bottom line: I Know what it sounds like, you don't. Have a good one.

A "homer" is a widely used term in athletics (listen to ESPN some time) to describe somebody who is overly biased towards their home team or school, as evidenced by your feelings about this mediocre band's less-than-original performance.
