If you wanted to cut the tree at once, you have to hang a waterbag or can upon the device!

Like device between the tree and a wall of water, the water moves slower away than the steady tree and so the explosion will cut the tree!

Okey, but it´s another thing to see this one on youtube compared to watching it with you own eyes. If you didn't notice, the tree got cut in two pieces before it went straight down again. That´s why we could bring it down just with our hands. So bp may not be the most powerful of things, but at least it magaged to do that. Thanks for comment

Relative effectiveness factor is used by engineers to calculate the amount of explosive required to demolish a structure.

Well, if you are going to mess with flashpowder (70/30) ; just be carefull with it. I have made and stored 1 kilogram batches with no problems whatsoever, and it is not sensitive to common jars and shocks like dropping. It can be compressed safely too. If you strike it with a hammer, it takes two or three hits, as opposed to one for TATP. Its not as bad as you are making it to be. Flash powder is awesome!
