@starfoxfan007 i find that hard to believe. i have found an excess of 40 items in just 5 days(19th-23rd december) played like 17 hours and no idling. i think the 8-12 items is more of a guarantee from valve if you play regularry.

@RammsteinMax187 you can get new weapons while playing the game you will randomly find items and you can get like 3 weapons each class by doing the milestones. About the hats every 100 hours you have like 0,06% chance to get hat

If you really do want to idle go to the server list and click change filters. Then under map type achievement_idle. Then just browse for an empty server.

They're adding item trading soon. That's why I asked. You should probably start hoarding items, because they've hinted that there's a way to turn crappy items into good ones.

So no it is not pretty obvious i idled for them...If i could arsed to explain this to you any more i would even post you the official announcement.But no i did not idle it was a bug happened to a few people.

Because it was a steam cloud glitch. Happened to a fair amout of people. Nothing was done at my end to influence the glitch. They announced that more people had the hats as a result of the glitch than any1 who had the legitimately. Valve wanted to make the hats rare but so many had them as a result of a fault. So that the hars where rare they delted all but one hat form every1 who had the glitch. Search the steam forums. (i have answered this question on youtube soooo many times.)

Actually even though there are more hats your stats for getting a hat are .5% every minute while playing tf2, just because there are more hats doesnt mean your chances increase, that why I thought you would be gutted because you would have to play tf2 for 200 minutes just to get one hat, so imagine how long it would take to get all 27
