  • i started insanity for a week but i couldnt afford the beachbody supplements so i stoped doing insanity and i was wondering what GNC supplements did you use to replace the beachbody ones and do they give you the same results?

  • @MilitiaOfBlood323 Forget about the supplements just do the program. I sometimes get comments that are negative saying that my results were not great but as I state in my video I did not diet and totally hate vegetables. I know for a fact that if I would have ate right my results would have been that much better but I did give the exercise all I had. If you are looking for a supplement just go with a dietary supplement. Don't give up.

  • @MR90301 if you want to gain weight/muscle then dont do insanity this is mostly cardio for people wanting to get lean. p90x could be good i dont know much about it what i would recommend would be to eat ALOT of protein and complex carbs and start doing stregth training at your local gym. Strength training as in low reps high weight. hope this helps! :)

  • I have a question. I looked up the recovery shake and the price to me is ridiculous. Is it necessary and is there any way I can just substitute something like whey protein while doing this?

  • @TheDisturbed11 Drink Chocolate milk. Recommended by a lot of people as a substitute. I'm 3 days into this and extremely overweight. Chocolate milk has helped me dodge the pain so far. Make sure its 1%.

    No, I recommend making a smoothie with whey. my fav smoothie consists of one scoop chocolate whey, 2 cups frozen berries,half a banana, and 2 cups of soy milk (or milk). I use 1 scoop of whey if it's a cardio and 2 scoops if I feel like my muscles are gonna be really sore. Really hits the spot :)

  • @TheDisturbed11 Well it depends, if you are looking for something to give you recovery try drinking Omega pills for muscle recovery. But if you are looking to get Leaner or bulkier then yes Protein shakes would be the way to go. I am currently only taking Whey protein along with an extremely strict diet (Which is working) and I am getting great results and my Muscles are popping out. I bought the Whey Protein Gold. Its 72.99 at the GNC.

  • how long is each workout? DVD? I'm pretty busy throughout the day/evening, so I was planning on getting up earlier to start this before i head out to work each morning.

I'm looking for a nice intense cardio workout (i hate treadmills) to burn fat. b/c I want that "thin LEAN" muscular look. I plan on doing this workout and still lift weights at the gym at least 3 times a week. I'll keep you posted.

  • @JaR33d51 That was my only problem, "I wasn't on a diet". I gave the workouts 100% but the food I ate wasn't gonna help me reach the Maximum Results I want. But I am working on it...

  • Great job man, keep it up.. Honestly, you can go to a nutritionist if you would like, but I think finding the path yourself is much better.. Just google "healthy foods for the body" and figure out the ones that appeal to you the most.. Also, make sure you have a balanced diet of carbs, protein, and healthy fats (almonds, salmon, lean beef, etc.) into six meals a day (eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hrs). Once you figure this part out, you're golden bc nutrition is vital to getting maximum results.

    about the vegetables, it's in my opinion about the taste buds; the fact that you hate

    eating vegetables is because your taste buds aren't used to them. Start eating them and your taste buds will respond accordingly.

    You will soon love eating veggies and hate junk food.

  • Wow. You really work hard. If you love fruit and hate veggies, the BEST thing you can do is get a high speed blender like a Blendtec ot Vitamix and make green smoothies. They taste just like fruit smoothies. There is a great youtube channel called BLENDITANDMENDIT and I have made her smoothies and they are delicious. Also, you can add protein to the smoothies. GOOD LUCK, BROTHER!

  • @132newblood Definitely do P90x. P90x is amazing when it comes to strength training. It'll give you nice arms, strong legs, strong back, and your core strength will improve greatly. Insanity is more about losing weight.

  • Im almost done with my first month, I lost about 14 pounds, from 178 to 164. I can run faster and farther. I noticed i had to work out for hours to lose the same amount of calories i do with insanity. I love it, it works for me and not only that im doing Army P.T. on tuesdays, wednesday, thursday. Im losing fat and gaining muscle. Cant wait for second month. :)

  • @sweetyrs81 Sorry for the late response been super busy, but I hope you took it easy. The only recommendation I can give or will give is never do these exercises if you're not at 100%. Be careful my friend cause you can hurt yourself to the point of no return. Get healthy 1st, don't get to anxious, and when the time comes to exercise you will be ready.   • Yo I am in my 1st month and 2nd week of Insanity, LOL and let me tell you I love my results! I still got 2 more weeks to go, I am still chunky but I went from 390 to 371! in just 1 month, I still need to weight myself when I am done but WOW I can't believe I lost that weight but anyways people are commenting me like "wow ur losing weight bro!" I am like yeah! Good thing aint it! HAHA

  • @132newblood I wanna say that P90X will do the job your looking for. You have to find what really works for you, as far as being motivated, & consistent. Do P90X my friend after that if you feel you didn't get what you were looking for then try Insanity. But if you're looking for that mass "P90X"... Just my opinion... ;)

  • @yankeesrule587 Look buddy get out of your mind about that. Put all the negative out and set your eyes on the goal. Set a weight loss goal. Believe me you will be ok, now there will be some struggle, soreness, doubt, but thats where u will have to push & bring your will power to the front line. Believe me you will be able to do it.   • @TheKickflip1234 I'm doing P90X in the morning and Insanity in the evenings. It's awesome buddy at 1st I was like I don't know but this type of exercise happens all the time. You hear of those that do 1 hour weight lifting and 30 minutes to an hour of cardio, then some boxing etc. So its just pushing yourself to the edge...

  • one other strategy you might sample is to throw a bunch of your fave sweet fruits (I like grapes) in the blender with a lil bit of very mild salad greens (romaine/green leaf/spinach, etc). If the color is too funny, add some berries. You won't be able to taste the icky green, but you'll get all the benefits. Overtime you can experiement with with increasing the greens to your liking.

    Regarding those undesirable veggies, have you by any chance seen if disguising them helps? For example, spinach/brocolli/etc chopped small and added to your favorite sauce?

    Huge props on the fruit! It's my fave thing too and makes up most of my fuel.

  • @BarrowBrozGuides Hey buddy there is so much one can do, but it's all about what works for you. I do recommend Insanity, I even recommend P90X. They both work. With Insanity you don't need weights, where as with P90X you will. Choose one my friend and just go for it.... ;)

  • Ok, part 2, lol. True, veggies contain essential nutrients for our body. They are the healthiest carbs you can eat. If you simply can't stand them though, compensate with other foods, which will be hard but in your case, I guess you can try. And a quick reminder, cut the sugar COMPLETELY. It'll suck, I know, but just with that you'll lose some pounds. Eat only white meat; stay away from red meat. If you crave a burger, make it with turkey meat. Anyway, like I said..fk, let me continue in another

  • I gotta agree with PeruvianL3. There is a difference, but it could be significantly increased. I'm not here to say you gotta eat your veggies. Some people just abhor certain foods, so I understand. What you gotta keep in mind though, is that it doesn't matter how much exercise you do, without a good healthy diet, you will never see good results. It's 50/50. If you knew this, good for you, but I'm mentioning this because I saw your results. Let me continue in another post.Running out of chars lol

  • Damn, I know how you feel, brother; fruits are great, but them veggies, man! But as much as you hate them, you gotta find a way to make friends with them--as I did. I don't even cook 'em--I raw-chow them...with some olive oil and sea salt as dressing, of course.

  • hey man congratulations on finishing your insanity, i have got it and am going to start it soon. As for the vegtable thing don't believe the hype about veg being important in your diet, i eat about 8 pieces of fruit a day and hardly any veg and i have never had any health problems. if you vary the type of fruit you eat i.e papya kiwi melon etc you get all your vitamins and minerals from these and broccoli is the worst veg ever! :)

I also dont drink sodas or anything with high fructose corn syrup, neither anything with a lot of fat. Anyways ive been 2 weeks in to the program already and everyday giving it my best. I had a question though, once i get in better shape can I do Insanity in the morning then P90x at night?
