@TheWatcherReptilian2 No, if you uncover the Truth throughout the game Subject 16 shows you clues that most of history is a Templar plot. The Templars ARE the Illuminati, they are the ones pulling the strings. The All-Seeing Eye is a symbol for their Father of Understanding I believe, or just another sign for them depending on how you wish to interpret it. The writing in blood that Desmond sees also has the All-Seeing Eye depicted on it.

When I was doing the running sequence with Lucy, when Desmond is asking her about all the animuses like "Lucy? Lucy?" she said, "Desmond, shut the fuck up... please." And then she tries to use the card a second later and is like, "FUCK!"

Lucy might have all of her fingers but that part where her finger is gone is probably a clue from the producers that she is an assassin because what assassins do to identify themselves as assassins to each other is by cutting off thier finger like Altier. Can you believe that at first I thought he lost it because he made a fist and the hidden blade came off by accident cutting off his finger

Lucy took on a much more important role in AC2 so Ubisoft tried to give her more than a personality, but more identifiable persona in general. I think they did a good job, but they obviously glammed her up too much IMO. -=) I hear what your sayin about AC1. I feel the same as you as far as that goes.

Yeah, its called the bleeding effect, any user of the animus gets the talents of their ancestors much faster than it took them to initially obtain, in this case, it's Altair's ability of Eagle Vision, but Ezio also had this ability as he was a close decendant of Altair, Desmond was too distantly related from Altair so the inherited talent faded away, but it isn't just this talent that gets passed on throughout the animus, it is also combat training, knowlege and I suppose memories.

Definitely. It is a must have for a gamer. Now, the only snag is if you get tired of getting the viewpoints, and doing sidequesting, etc. I really enjoy all of that stuff. Even if you stick JUST to the storyline alone there is a solid 20+ hours of gameplay. The cutscenes are great, the use of humor is awesome, and the storyline becomes deeper in AC2 than it is in AC1. The glitchy roof running is annoying sometimes, but it definitely is a great game.

Everyone has different opinions and this is simply mine.

Rating scale 1-10

Cutscenes: 9

Although the cutscenes are amazing, they aren't as amazing as say Uncharted 2, but remember these are different games, and have different styles.

Storyline - 9.5

This storyline is amazing and really keeps you in suspense and captivates you. However compared to other storylines I don't quite get that "epic" feeling that I've gotten from other games. It is a very sound storyline though.

Graphics - 9

The graphics have a lot of the same coloring such as stucco (spelling?) roofing, brick mortor, etc. Except for when you are out in the Tuscany countryside where the coloring is just mind boggling beautiful. The graphics are amazing for the set piece that this game takes place in.

Gameplay - 8.5

AC2 is much more refined in the intricate details than AC1 is. (cont)

With the addition of air assassinations, and double kills, plus refined mechanics it is amazing, although I must say that the glitchy roof running is annoying. The added ability to pickup guards dropped weapons is awesome, but I find myself picking them up when I don't mean to and when I try to switch back to my primary weapon I get hit by guards, etc. So there are some frustrating things about the mechanics but all in all a vast improvement over AC1.

Character - 10

Ezio's character is much more involving than tha of his ancestor Altair. Altair was more, go here, do this. Ezio on the other hand displays much more a human side that we can all identify with. He loves, cares, knows fear, and realizes after a while that there is a greater purpose. Although he already had some "assassin" skills like roof running/climbing, and a natural ability to put up a fight, it is enjoyable to watch Ezio grow with us as we play.

He is human though with character flaws and things he likes to indulge in that make him out to be an absolute saint. I really enjoyed the character Ezio.

The over feel of AC2 isn't quite as epic as some other great games but I think that the overall feel of the entire AC series that they are setting us up for will be quite epic as Desmond becomes more a part of things. I wonder how this serieswill turn out, and just what magic the creators of this game can wring out of it.

I rate it a 9.0
