@OperationRageQuit most of his work was in the states and he rubbed elbows with numerous American actors and actresses during the rise of American cinema in Hollywood. Plus there's an American tendency to try to include people we like in the entertainment industry. Americans forget that Jim Carry is Canadian even though he's in a lot of American movies.
