@mcdonnell220
To the best of my recollection the accident happened over Stephens and/or Comanche counties in SW Oklahoma, West of the town of Duncan.
I was approximately 10-15 miles East of were the debris impacted.
The timing had to have been Fall of '59
There were 2 B-58 disasters in that general area during that time period.
I looked at both of them on several sites, the locations given are not accurate.
The explosion I saw was due West of Duncan, Ok in Clear Weather, no doubts about that.

Like a Buick with worn out shocks going over railroad tracks.
The B-58 was one of my favorite aircraft but they had some problems.
I watched one blow up when I was about 11 yrs old (1958-59 approx)....just flying along making a nice contrail then boom...gone.
These videos are interesting.
Thank you mcdonnell220 for upping them.

@engaurd I agree, maybe a pack of 2 engines ° wing, like the Concorde for example.. i mean, less shakes (no pylons), better weight distrubution. Don't ya?. Is very odd to watch the outer engines almost touching the ground.

talk about a squirrelly bird to set down...i guess all the delta wings are pretty much like that
