But isn't this game set before all the other star oceans? So techinically Albel wasn't born yet or even his grandfather....do they even visit his planet?

Well yeah, but the Tales games have a lot of cameos, and they're not even set in the same universe

But you do have a point, because since here they ARE set in the same universe, Albel's being there would'nt make sense...

i know Star Ocean 1 and 2 has ah connection to each other (claude SO2 is the son of the main character SO1), but where does SO3 come in
