The only reason it is a moral issue is that people have made it an issue. In those countries where homosexual activity is forbidden, instead of education of "this is natural" they need education of basic ethics and human rights. If rape is natural, does that make rape okay? No. Rape is still not okay. However, homosexuality doesn't hurt anyone. It is not wrong.

I'm slightly homophobic and I watched this video, I have my reasons though so please dont bash me unless you are willing to know why.

I don't mind gay people, it just creeps me out. Makes my skin crawl. I have met some very wonderful gay people, had some very heartfelt conversations with them, but the phobia has remained...

I think the phobia is of seeing gay people kissing or being intimate (once again I have my reasons for this) its just one of those things I have nightmares about.

2 years ago I was married to a military man, I had known him and dated him for 4 years prior, one year he left me for a younger girl, disapeared for a year and popped back up in my life and I forgave him...

during our marriage i noticed gay porn on my computer and when i confronted him about it he got very defensive. then he'd ask me to do odd stuff in bed (like butt sex.. which i find gross no matter if its guy on guy or guy on girl, its unsanitary).

I have alot of gay friends that are guys but all of them are "swingers" so they arent very good role models for me to overcome my phobia... the first time i met them they found it fit for them to tell me straight up that they are gay, which i find kinda irrelevant... i dont go up to people and say i'm straight. i dont think a person should be measured by their sexuality...

but I am aware that I have a phobia, and i try to get over the mental scarring but its extremely difficult for me.

Well I know that many gay men, just like bisexual and heterosexual men, are not very monogamous. It seems to be a problem related to the gender not so much to the sexual orientation.

But I am very monogamous. And I have other friends who are married to their partner, and in my best knowledge are faithful. Im also openly gay, because I dont like people asking me if I have a girlfriend, or start offending gay people in my presence as that can get really ugly.

I'd doubt that it's a phobia. It sounds more like an aversion or fear caused by trauma. I don't mean to steal any power from your statement. I'm glad you're not a homophobic person in the sense that you hate me for being queer. I'd much rather you hate me for being me.

Many gay people feel the need to come out to people because some people consider it betrayal if they aren't told. It is easier to get the homo out of the way so we know whether or not continued friendship is possible.
