I've heard rival male cats cry like that to each other when they are having a stand off. But it's a longer sounding howl and then a fight usually breaks out. The cat was obviously riled up about something since it's ears were so far back. I would never try petting a cat in that state! Very strange indeed...

I think after owning cats all my life that this one ways dropped into an environment that was new to him or her. The cat seems distressed by it's surroundings and not one thing that and owner can can take away. This can happen when moving into a new home or going somewhere and you have to take your pet with you. Yes, it's sad for the cat,but it will end. Not all cats are laid back.

As I said before...this is not the way a cat acts when it is happy. They don't lay their ears back or have their hair stand on end for nothing. I also noticed how he/she cowered at the touch of the guy trying to pet her...makes me think you were trying to calm the poor cat down after making it so distressed! Hmm, that's fascinating that the cat can say, "No." However it's threatened by something, but who knows what. Look at the way it's ears are back and the hair is standing on end. It's the position its standing in. Although the one filming it doesn't seem to be concerned so maybe the cat is always like that. I can't imagine its going through life stressed though. Maybe it doesn't like the camera and that's the only time it gets like that.

It just looks like he's being territorial and he doesn't like one of people in the room. I've owned a cat the majority of my life, and TRUST ME, when a cat is scared or feels threatened it will hiss, scratch & grunt and bite and would really look evil. This cat just looks pissed off & annoyed. Of course I don't like to see any animal being filmed when angry or sad, but we must admit the video is hilarius!!

I really don't like this video. Ya the cat sounds like it's saying "no" however you can see how upset or scared it is. The owners are causing the cat distress so that they can get hits on YouTube. You can clearly see the cat's fur standing on end, ears back, eyes wide, salivation, and at points hissing.
