Very nice. Great impression. It has an African feel to it... or was that just the music?
Was wondering about that more solid blue on your palette. Is that a different type or just a 'coincidence'? And why walnut? Have no experience with that so I thought I'd ask the master.

These are the Van Gogh brand... they have quite a variety of more "right-from-the-tube" colors that offers me a greater range of subtle color quickly. The bright solid blue is their cobalt blue.... which was used VERY sparingly in this painting. The walnut plaque is the kind that comes from trophy supply houses. these are great to paint on at shows as they are durable, "self framing" and can hang on a wall immediately! I gesso the surface, then sanded it smooth...GREAT surface for detail work.
