  • I agree with him that may Wagner and Bruckner has surpassed the erotica nos" of trombones and trumpets// and Noise but musically!??!!?

.. they are both junior students in his school and enough said here,,,

  • he didn't eevn play the entire finale!!! @_@ bad decision

  • very nice, I love it.

  • Yes! What a teacher!

  • No, Wagner and Bruckner did NOT equal the triumph of this music - nor has anyone else.

Incidentally, wouldn't it be interesting if Beethoven could appear - POOF! - among us today and point out all the nonsense in the commentary about him and music? "No, I'm sorry you windbag, it has nothing to do with that." Things like that. "No, that wasn't at all what I had in mind when I wrote that."

  • @Jitpring

    Yep. Well said.

  • @Jitpring I rather think that WOULD be the case, were Beethoven to reappear, more likely than not. I had issue with many of his assertions myself although his manner is nice.

  • @ShawDAMAN MTT's manner is nice, yes. Too nice. It's like he's constantly selling. Yet we've already bought! I far prefer Bernstein's lectures.

  • @Jitpring YES. Bernsteins lectures, though not too layman-friendly, are great- (although I actually am not big on his *conducting* of Beethoven.)

  • I insist: what a wonderful teacher.

  • actually, a hideous Yank polluting British TV.

  • Why? What makes him such?

  • I believe you just used a tautology - you used the words "hideous" and "Yank" in the same sentence.
