  • I jumped up and down when this happened it was just so awesome to see nWo back in full swing.

  • What helped kill wcw

  • @Moneymoneyyeahyeah11 yea it kinda went down hill from there

  • shazam...by golly...gee wilikers....

  • epic

  • nWo 4 life baby!

  • AND FOLEY PUT MY ASS on this seat

  • hogan

  • BEST DAYS OF WCW !!

  • As famous as the fingerpoke of doom was, or infamous I should say, I never saw the promo at the end of this video. That makes me hate what those idiots did even more after watching that. Good upload though

  • hogan nash was a fan fav

  • lol Fishsticks!

  • idon't like Russo that much but every one needs to quit saying he killed WCW it was ted turner who thought he wasn't making enough money even though wcw was a multi-million dollar company so he soled it to vince

  • i have to agree with this as it wasn't russo who killed wcw it was more the top wrestlers who had creative control which messed it up big time destroying the ratings. Vince being the dictator is wat kept wwe in control during attitude but now they care more about there pg rating but thats just because of the world we live in and of past deaths/accidents.

  • He sold the company to AOL Time Warner during the merger, they sold it to WWE.

It didn't die like many claim or get sold by Turner when it was losing money,it was part of his tv network that was bought during the takeover.

  • thats when westling was the shizzle and was rated tv-14 now its just tv-pg and u got f@gs on there like santino marella and ricky ortiz

  • All I got to say is....

    NWO 4-4-4-4-life!!!

One more for the good guys!

    2 SWEEEEEEEEET! :D

  • listen to what tony says at 1.57.. he says "what the F**k's going on!!!

  • I remember being a kid screaming for happiness at the top of my lungs at 10:55pm. Wow I loved WCW

  • listen to tony schavonie he says "this is what world championship wrestling is all about" he couldnt have been more right. thats the only statement he ever said that was true lmfao

  • vince russo wasnt even in wcw when this match took place or arquette. this match killed the credibility of the title this was the night after goldberg lost the belt. goldberg only wrestled matches in which the character didn't have creative control. nash booked himself 2 win cuz he could. he wasnt given credible opponents because the big dogs wrote their own storylines and wouldnt allow themselves to be beaten

  • thank you for the correction, i remember events from this good era, but i just cannot remember it in details. this was still bischoff's time and russo comin in made it worse. history is repeatin itself, see TNA. i m surprise that TNA would hire russo despite his track record and keep him on board when TNA is runnin identical to wcw's dyin days.

  • this one match did so much damage to the credibility of the wcw title. if someone would just throw a championship match, there was no reason to watch anyone fight for it. it said "this belt is completely worthless"

  • the belt was worthless as soon as david arquette held it, so no, you cannot damage anythin that has already turned into dust.

  • Comment removed

  • I thought the credibility vanished as soon as Goldberg had the belt. What you give the guy 173 straight wins over luchadores and he deserves a title shot against Hogan ?? Where's the credibility in that. But it's true... Arquette had it, Russo had it... hell even Jeff Jarrett had it so it really was a worthless piece of tin.

  • yes i agree, the wwf and wcw belts startin from this point on was like nash said, just a strap. it has no value and crediblity. on a side note, i think goldberg was a really lucky sumbitch because he was there at the right place, at the right time.

  • I remember right after that the Atlanta Falcons football team came out and helped goldberg

  • xD yeaa hollywood hogan is the king xp

  • 2 Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

  • 1:57

"Luger attacked Goldberg, What the FUCK is going on!?!"

    ROFL

  • It's too bad things went south and a pay off to the angle never occurred, but nobody seems to get that this was meant as a way for the nWo to sabotage the show. The booking itself was not bad booking. The only bad part about it was it didn't have a pay off, which would have been Goldberg mowing down everyone over months and finally getting Hogan back.

  • The best nirto of all time!

  • All I got to say is....

    NWO 4-4-4-4-life!!!

One more for the good guys!

    2 SWEEEEEEEEET! :D

  • and that why no more wcw

  • Yeah good on the NWO cant stand bill goldberg. the greed of wcw and wwe.

  • i waz dead wen Goldberg got shocked by da cattle prod

  • HAHAHAH 1:57 what the fuck is going on, OMG lol lol lol

  • That great great. And then classic Eric Bischoff right after him.

    N.W.O

    4 Life

  • Tony Schiavone @ 1:57: "WHAT THE FUCK'S GOING ON?"

    LMAO

  • HAHAHA that's hilarious.

  • AT 1:57 is Funny... Sha-zam!, By-God, Gee-wilikers! LOL! Hecky naw, Eric Bischoff Funny, Sha-zam! Oh that's a good one.

  • This was the death of WCW

  • exactly what i was about to say.

the NWO was good, the wolfpack was awesome, having them rejoin forces sucked.

  • excatly. this lasted 4 like 2 seconds and vince saw the opportunity

  • All I got to say is...

    NWO 4-4-4-4-liiiiifeeeee!!!!

One more for "the good guys" :D TOOO SWEEEEEEEEET!

  • this was the beginning of the end of WCW

  • anarchy!!!! lol

  • the fingerpoke of doom. LOL does anyone else miss the good old days of professional wrestling?

  • Eric is Funny !!!!!!!!!

  • when it was ? i remember HBK & HHH doing same thing at early times of DX

  • yeah, but i think this was done early on..

  • yeah for the european title HHH won

  • i used to love how Goldberg would sprint to ring.

  • He's a thief!! He's a crook!! he has a record!!! lmao

  • dont mess with th wolf pack lollll

  • Fingerpoke of doom. The poke that killed WCW.

  • lmao that was classic!! There was some other times too.. like when Hogan had a problem with Jarrett getting the title from him or something.. and hogan had to laydown.. and hogan wouldnt do it..

  • All I got to say is...

    NWO 4-4-4-4-liiiiifeeeee!!!!

One more for "the good guys" :D TOOO SWEEEEEEEEET!

  • i love it the nwo screjob hahahah i love wcw

  • I wonder why Goldberg didnt use any of the martial arts tecnique in WWE like he did in WCW?

  • i saw him use a couple but not often though

  • i get u. i think if he used some of those moves a lil more he would have destroyed a lot more people in WWE.

  • yeah he would of.. I think Bishoff went all out in his power beat the WWE in ratings..

  • the imfamous "fingerpoke of doom"

  • I am sure glad that I dont have to see them anymore. These are wrestlers who dont have the balls to win by themselves always needing someone to hold up their jockstraps and kiss their asses

  • ...i remember when i used to be into wrestling like that. seriously they were the only reason we watched wcw more that wwf though. you loved to hate them. and when sting turned into a quicker version of the undertaker

  • All I got to say is...

    NWO 4-4-4-4-liiiiifeeeee!!!!

One more for "the good guys" :D TOOO SWEEEEEEEEET!

  • nWo 4-Liiiiife!!!

  • who was that guy

  • No late 1999 is when wcw died...

  • lol wow at 1:34 u can see how bad the faking is XD

  • Do you notice how soft Hogan hits Goldberg with that belt?

  • We all know it's "fake"; even though wrestlers are subject to a lot of real injuries and should be respected for their profession. This era was so exciting; I miss those days... nWo 4-Life!!

  • I know, it's just funny that he didn't pull it off better.

  • ah yes... the fingerpoke of doom.

  • How was this a dumb move? You loved it then, but as you get older you all start paying more attention to the politics than the wrestling. When this happened, It shocked me so I take it, it was a very great move.

  • dumb move, but jeez must wcw fans always throw crap in the ring when things dont go their way.

  • the screaming at 2:07 is retarded , lol

  • this was the day WCW went downhill, even though i still liked it lol

  • haha at 1:57 idk the announcers name butim pretty sure he says "what the fuck is going on?" lol

  • he so did say that, lol

  • this was when wrestling was wrestling and less soap opera and stupidity i miss the nwo this is when i like wrestling this was at wrestlings best moments

  • Dreadful moment for WCW was all downhill from here

  • All I got to say is...

    NWO 4-4-4-4-liiiiifeeeee!!!!

One more for "the good guys" :D TOOO SWEEEEEEEEET!

  • Ugh, the dreaded Finger Poke of Doom angle. I was always a big WCW guy, but they were flying down the side of the mountain at this point. Then again, that's what happens when the inmates run the asylum the way Nash & Hogan were back then.

  • i miss the nwo this is when i like wrestling

  • Nash jobbing out to Hogan - worst thing ever.

  • this was when wrestling was wrestling and less soap opera and stupidity

  • this is what happens when you have weak management, non-wrestling people in management positions and aging no-talent bastards (hogan) in complete creative control of their storylines and characters. hogan brought back "the warrior" just to "avenge" a loss that happend a decade prior. hogan is an egomaniac that will destroy everything around him (like his own marriage) to satisfy his own means.

  • If WCW hadn't jumped the shark already, then it did here. They managed to completely destroy their two biggest face draws: Goldberg and the Wolfpac, in one fell swoop.

  • This match took place at the Georgia dome in Atlanta. I was there that night. After the tv part was over, Goldberg got up and yelled for Nash to come back to the ring. Of course that didn't happen. Then a number of that Atlanta Falcons got into the ring with Goldberg. That was the year the Falcons won the NFC title and lost the Super Bowl to Denver.

  • Oh yeah, one other thing. The Falcons running back at the time Jamal Anderson was famous for doing the "Dirty Bird" to celebrate a TD. He and Goldberg did that in the ring.

  • All I got to say is...

    NWO 4-4-4-4-liiiiifeeeee!!!!

One more for "the good guys" :D TOOO SWEEEEEEEEET!

  • shit man, the guy below me i definately agree! they had some magic in their shows!! just think if they had good management how awesome it would have been!

  • at 1:57 ... does the announcer say "what the FUCK is going on?" haha ... slip up.

  • *sigh* i think he did. i love the other guy after tony knew he messed up " oh tony how could this happen"

  • When your nWo.....Your nWo 4 LIFE

  • All I got to say is...

    NWO 4-4-4-4-liiiiifeeeee!!!!

One more for "the good guys" :D TOOO SWEEEEEEEEET!

  • yeah man, that Bill Goldberg

  • was that goldberg

  • How come nobody has an original clean video of this match on youtube? Every other Nitro match in history has been up here except this.

  • man this was great goldberg what a sucker a fifth grader wouldn't fall for that schame

  • NW0 is 4-life!!!!

    4-life!!!! TOOOOO SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!

  • the new nwo should be hbk john cena bastia hhh

  • are you kidding all four men has a ego

  • nobody can beat hulk. if you do, it was a fluke. hogan for life!

  • if it wasn't for wcw falling, wwf mite still be good, now they have no1 as big as wcw to compete with they dont bother having gd storylines

  • The "Fingerpoke of Doom"

  • what the fuck goin on lool i never expected that from schiviane

  • I missed this when it originally aired. I was watching the University of Tennessee football team win the National Championship. Since I was also recording the game at that same time and didn't have a second VCR then, I had to wait until the following Thursday on Thunder to find out what happened. Imagine my shock when I saw the "retired" Hulk Hogan standing with the Wolfpack and holding the WCW world title!

  • here are the ppl who killed wcw... hollywood hulk hogan and vince russo.. here are the ppl who created wcw..eric bishoff and hollywood hulk hogan..its funny how hogan can create and kill a company...because his ego got huge, he killed the company and because russo is the biggest dumbass he killed the company..i dont care if u like or hate the guy but bishoff created wrestling for both wwe and wcw..bring him in tna or wwe now and its all over for the company without him whether he is a fag or not

  • vince russo created half of wcw gd storylines

  • he did create some gd storylines..but wenever sumthin didnt go his way he would just kill da whole show..for example wen hogan said he wanted to win the title instead of jarrett..he made jarrett lay down for hogan..stuf like dat is bad for business..u give this 1 to hogan and then get the next one..even if hogan was wrong russo shoulda done it in a pro manner..bishoff created wcw..wen russo wasnt there stuf like dat never happend..im sorry but russo was co owner in the killing of wcw wit hulk

  • yeh its true vince russo helped destroy wcw with bad decisions, just wanted to point out that he did create alot of the good wcw times aswel as alot of ppl on here are sayin ghe never did anythign for wcw, bischoff as u say was always the true genius behind it tho

  • Computer6776

Your name tells you that you are a MARK.

Go f*ck yourself and never come back.

Erich Bischoof MADE WCW. He MADE you watch this.

  • GerrardoGerrard thats wat i fucking said dumbass...read it again fuck face... i said he created wrestling...learn how to read asswipe then come talk to me bitch.. y u makin fun of my name...ur first name is the same as ur last name dumbshit

  • damn goldberg was doing some krav maga on that ass just to get owned by hollywood

  • This next to mudered WCW. Then Russo came along and shitted over whatever it had left.

  • everyone's makin big ass remarks to this, but the highlight is Lex Lugar turning heel...think of it..after all these years of being a face, everybody at that moment thought he'de defend Goldberg..Luger turning heel was by far the highlight

  • lol no one cared about luger man...this was the night everyone cared about mick foleys 1st world title win on this very nite

  • Yeah, the WWF was better..........yeah right. Undertaker "crucifying Austin?" HHH and Steph getting married while she was "drugged." At least WCW had wrestling. And at least their angles surrounded titles. I got so tired of Raw and the same old shit "Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ass," and "If you smell what the Rock is cooking?" That got old in about two minutes. I miss WCW. This wasn't the beginning of the end. The end of WCW was simple...........Vince Russo.

  • In your mind maybe, but the fact was people were tuning in to see WWF because A-they were putting on a better product and B-Because they were sick of seeing the nWo hashed and rehashed with the same players at the top of the card for 3 years. And please stop with the whole "Vince Russo killed WCW bullshit." He may have failed at trying to save that company but a least he gave a shit about trying to salvage it.

  • You make some good points, but keep this in mind. When Russo took over, Raw was doing 7's, but Nitro was still pulling 4's, which is a full point better than Raw is doing at this point right now. So, while Raw was winning the ratings, Nitro was still pulling a very good number. When Russo took over, the 4's dropped to 2's. Sorry, but I'm going to have to still continue to believe my "bullshit" that Russo buried WCW. The proof is in the ratings.

  • Austin and the WWF brought the fans because of one simple fact: the WWF always had a larger following than WCW. And the WWF fans were just waiting for the company to get better to watch WWF again. After the finger-poke the WCW ratings were still great. Even if WWF had better ones. They could just continue to ride the nWo wave for a while. In fact 6 months later WCW still had good ratings and it started to go really bad when they got rid of the nWo because they panicked over the success of WWF.

  • Panic??? I guess I was blinded by the margin of victory Nitro was getting when they were getting between 7.0-7.8 and RAW was getting back then like 4.5-5.1

  • I'm on your side, dude. I said WCW panicked around 99 and started to change everything WHEN THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO. Bischoff was going crazy because WWF was getting good ratings. But he should just have minded his own business and just continue doing good shows.

  • wcw beat wwf in the rating 4rm 96-98 just to let u know .. but in my opinion i thot wcw was always better than wwf

  • They were better even when WWF was on top

  • yea i know

i member when theyd have 8way tags between

goldberg, sting, hogan, kevin nash, sid viscious, scott hall, bambam bigilo

    and that was 1999-2000

    the good old days

  • more like wwf was better all the time. apart from maybe 1996

  • naw not even .. everyone knew that wcw was the shit .. wcw had all the legends all at once .. most of the time all in the same ring

  • yea but at the point they were in wcw no one cared about any of them apart from Hulk Hogan, Kevin nash and Scott Hall. That was the only good thing about WCW - nWo. WWF had The Rock, Stone Cold, Mankind, Undertaker, Kane, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart when he was actually good

  • but there was nothing exciting bout wwF .. wcw was always exciting . wwf was just fukn boring

  • ur havin a laugh. stone cold and the rock were the best ever. no way was it boring. wcw was just pathetic and the same thing happened every week. the nwo came out on top

  • all wwf was .. was a big drama scene .. oooo did vince mccman fuck trish .. oooo did HHH marry steph .. haha thats all it was .. fuck the rock and stone cold .. btw stone cold started in wcw .. wcw was always action and had the best story lines .. fuck the wwf

  • Stone Cold was in WCW and they didnt have a clue did they. Went to WWF and become the most successful wrestler in history. Sold more than anyone else and for a long time him and The Rock were the best.

  • maybe at the being drama actors but not wrestlers haha fuck the wwf

  • all of wcws best wrestlers either didnt get used or went to the better company e.g guerrero, benoit, malenko and jericho and big show

  • all wcw had was bad management .. thats why it went into the gutter .. but u gotta admitt that they put on a fukn show

  • u r rite mr.sintown13.

i wish WCW wud return again.specially nwo.

wwe is a shit these days.

look at the intercontinental champion. a piece of shit santino not santano...marella...a big jerk.

  • yeah, santino as IC Champ?!

give me a fucking break, there are other guys in the roster who are more deserving than that fool...

  • 1:57 "what the fuck's going on!!??!?" lol the other announcer tries to play it off with that "gee willikers" shit LOL

  • The announcer was Eric Bischoff. He was supposedly in on the whole thing.

  • begginning of the end for wcw! lol

  • Classic example of The Wrong Kind Of Heat. By this time, people were tired of Hogan, Hall, and Nash, they needed to push someone newer and build new stars. Meanwhile people tuned in to watch a PPV-caliber match [which would've sucked anyway because Hogan and Nash were already two old, immobile guys] and got a damn fingerpoke. That's not "being a heel", that's Eric Bischoff and WCW giving the fans the finger and shitting all over all the hard work

of the people who built WCW on good matches.

  • LOL at Hogan giving Goldberg a massage with the belt. Double LOL at Schiavone saying "This is what WCW is ALL ABOUT!", talk about foreshadowing.

  • my thoughts exactly I'm like "why the hell are you building this up so bad when its not even gonna happen?"

  • you wrestling fans are the biggest hypocrits around.if you were pissed at that then you are marks they did their job a job of a heel is to piss the fans off what do you think heels are supposed to get cheered this was one of the best heel moves in the past 10 years and nobody ever saw it coming this was great

  • I thought it was great. First it brings the nWo back in full force: the Ultimate Powerful Evil Force. And it makes Goldberg the Ultimate Good Guy that's going to destroy them.

WCW had enough material there to run at least 6 months of storylines. Plus you have Sting come back earlier and fight his friend Luger that has now turned heel.

  • yah i always wondered why they couldn't keep the quality of early 99 goin the whole year. apparently luger hoganand hall all got injured tho

  • 1:56... "What the fuck's going on?!!?" hahah

  • This was the night that Mick Foley won the world title on Raw. Mick Foley winning the world title on raw was ten times better of a show than this "fingerpoke of doom" bullshit.

  • the best night in nwo history brother...lol..i loved it when Nash got back with Hogan...the only think i didn't agree with was that Nash should have at least had one match with hogan, and actually win the match.

  • this was one of the worst moments in wrestling history and even go as far as saying the death of wcw....i remember watching this match thinking how disgusted i was and i was only 12...this is not WRESTLING

  • but you have to admit that its something you have never seen before in wrestling and never will see again!! The good thing about nWo is they didnt give a fuck and they would do whatever it takes to be as rebelious as they can! It makes a change from your everyday wrestling match!! nWo 4life!!!

  • your right wrestling is the stuff you see at your high school and if you were disgusted good because you were pissed so they did their job

  • and that is why after that night i started watching nitro less and less and tuned in to RAW more and more...yea they did their job as a 2nd rate company thats why at company is non-existent

  • HA HA HA second rate company did you watch wwf in 1999 it was pure fucking trash wcw was hardly at its best but atleast it didnt lower itself to trash tv the austin mcmahon storyline got so boring it was unbelivable heat is heat deal with it

  • are u kidding me? tha corporate ministry and undertaker kidnapping stephanie just to screw austin was one of the best storylines in wrestling history? austin vs. macmahon was excellent..but y am i telling u this? u think this segment is one of the best heel moves in TEN YEARS...i'm done with you
