If I ask you to make dua for me, then you are interceding for me too. This is perfectly acceptable. In fact, it is recommended that we ask pious Muslims to pray for us. Because the duas of pious Muslims are more likely to be accepted.
Some bidah is not forbidden. Good bidah (saying sadaqah Allah hu atheem what Allah says is true) after you read Quran. Obligatory bidah (writing Islamic books).

You can't look at one extreme Sufi and think ALL of them are like that. Their are very few extreme Sufis, most Sufis are Ashari and don't do extreme things. Meaning I'm not going to listen to a Salafi or Wahhabi and think everything they say is wrong, I take the things I like, and the things I disagree, I either let it out the other ear or I see what good I can do with it.

The general rule is this, not qualified from Saudi based institutions and does not follow Saudi version of Islam then not to be listened to and is immediately categorised as a Sufi which in their opinion is a Mushrik .
