She's effectively like St. Peter in Christian lore who's sujpposed to wait at the 'Pearly Gates' to tell you if you're getting in or not. She's got absolute power to determine right and wrong, black and white. Also she's freakishly strong if she ever decides to use her powers beyond the Spell Card Rules. I'm reminded of how Yukari said she, Reimu, and Yuyuko together probably couldn't beat the Yama.

Eiki is the most annoying final boss in Touhou. Maybe not the hardest, but definitely the most annoying.

She's a kind, if strict, person who cares for the living. Her lectures are in an attempt to save the person's soul - she doesn't want to send them to hell, or worse. Her strictness is at odds with Komachi's laziness, however, and as such they're often fighting.

The song exudes the aura of Yamaxanadu. I feel it's very fitting for her character and position.

@gyppygirl2021 What I liked about PoFV was that you weren't told to beat the game without continuing to get a better ending. You need it for Extra Mode, but the endings are continue-free, thankfully.

And I'm apparently more insane than I thought. I never tried EASY MODO for some reason, and everyone I meet who's played the games either did it on Easy, or has blitzed it on Lunatic.

@gyppygirl2021 Dunno. Touhou 6 actually mocks the player if they beat Easy Mode, and as far as I know, you can't get the good endings on Easy mode even if you do it without continues. That, along with OVERDRIVE, has made Touhou fan-tards drive the joke so far into the ground, it went through Chireiden and ended up in China. And I mean the country.

I play on Normal cause the difficulty difference from Easy to Normal would likely put me off the games.

The option to beat Eiki is more out of pity to the player who tears himself up to survive rather than a real loss :(

Their reflexes operate at CPU-speed, so do their movements, and with the precision that comes only with an FPU to calculate the distances and angles. The way Shikieiki dodged my myriad of bullets on normal by oscillating fast enough over approximately three millimeters in all directions to literally blur on the screen made me cringe.
