  • I wish I could buy a nice caddy like that, if only gas wasn't so goddamn expensive.

  • I would probably just power wash it (high pressure hose) and apply rim cleaner spray found at walmart etc. I dont have this guys patience !~

  • Nice caddy real clean

  • I have a question for you. I have a 1986 Fleetwood Brougham and where do you get the white wall tires from and how much?

  • @DirtySouthGCounty, U can use Hankook tires....they make a white wall that looks BadAss on a Brougham....and they ride good too! Find your nearest "Americas Tire Store" in your area by looking online...and they will order them for u at a good price. The exact name is "Hankook...Mileage plus" and Optima also by hankook. U will also find those tires online. Hope this helps, -BOGAR!

  • @j45007 i have those on my buick regal ltd, they look and ride great!

  • such a clean fleetwood..

  • vote for pedro

  • Iron X that wheel and let it soak. spray water than use the metal polish with fine steel wool. spray water and dry it and use a sealent to keep it clean & ease to wash

  • THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.

CAN YOU PLEASE CREATE A POLISHING VIDEO? I know you discussed it in your washing video but questions remain.... Do you polish the whole car? How/when do you use the clay bar? Is there a certain to best wash your car?

  • Ah, yes, the infamous "granny wheels" or "granny hubcaps"... As a car detailer, I despise these. When I bought my '87 Ford Crown Victoria, I threw those away and got "dog dish" type ones off an old junkyard find police car.

  • faciliate is not a word.....facilitate

  • @sleepewolfe2060, yes i knew that on the spot actually. My mistake! I was convinced that people could get past such a minor detail and actually focus on the video itself and its content. Thanks for watching, -BOGAR!

  • won't the metal wool scratch the wires? and made it even more oxidized? I understand how the wires won't shine, cuz in time. It starts to hazed up, I had tat problem but i'm not sure that steel wool will make it better or worst....

  • @kungming923 No, steel wool will not scratch your rims especially if you use the very, very, fine steel wool. I have 80spoke Dayton wheels and I use steel wool, Dawn dish detergent, and a dollar store degreaser.

  • @2710PocahontasThanks, where can I find those very very fine steel wool?

  • this is not wire wheels. its pimpin wheels.

  • Cadillac's will make you lose your mind LOL

  • this is why i have 5 spokes! lol

  • yes am subscrived.i wander is t not easyer to remove the wheel cover

and put it in a big bucket ?

does these eh cadiliac not have allow wheels ?

  • Do you use Westley's Bleech-Wite tire cleaner at all? I've used it for years, best stuff on the markey.

  • Great video, now i want to clean my wire caps.

  • I do the same thing and I go a few steps more I polish and wax it after the steps you showed in your vid. that will help protect it from rust and grime and makes it eazier too just wipe it off when washing the Car.

  • If you have a bad back, why not take the wheel cover off and put it on your work bench and you also have the opportunity to clean the steel wheel behind the wheel cover which probally is dirty also. You might need to hold down the cover with a clamp like a "C" clamp to keep it from moving all around. Thanks the the video's I love them!

  • 0:47 faciliate... you mean facilitate lol

  • This takes to much work but its very cheap and works good..I perfer getting a water pressured machine..shoot the high pressured water at the rims then spray the wheel cleaner.

  • Something else that I found that worked good on my '87 Caprice Classic is just plain old wire wheel spray cleaner. If you don't have a lot of time, just remove the wheel covers, spray it on, and rinse clean.

  • I was just gonna say, I used to have a Caprice with wire wheels. I took them carefully apart and polished all of the parts with noxon or chrome cleaner, waxed them and put it back together. After that it was easier to keep up with!

  • Thats to much in Texas heat

  • Great vid J4. I'm going to clean up my wire wheels on my Buick tomorrow, they are starting to accumulate a little bit of brake dust. Awesome vid though, keep up the good work. - Yoshi

  • I hope that steel wool was 00 or 0000 steel wool. Uisng a metal polish with the steel wool helps bring out a shine on faded metal but usually a less aggressive appraoch will suffice. I usually use a foam applicator and Megguiars Hot Rims Mag and Aluminum Polish or Meguiars Hot Rime Chrome Polish. This can do wonders on faded metal trim and such.

  • Hey great vids... I have a ? I have a 2003 Tahoe with chrome rims. And the chrome is starting to get very dirt from brake dust etc.. i have tried several cleaners and I still cant get the crud off!!! and to that I also have a 95 GMC pickup I got and it has the aluminum rims but again they have that dark dirty look. I used a brush and a nylon pad etc etc. I cant get my rims clean! What is the best way to get all that dirt and crap off? I will have to make a vid response when I do it. Thanks

  • whats that thing on your drill that looks like it'd be real good at breaking your thumb.

  • I pre-soak, then use a wheel cleaner, then rinse off, let it air dry, then with a damp rag go in between each spoke like you did @ 4:22 to remove any excess road grime to all 4 wheel covers. Takes time but I do it this way and I'm at a car wash.

    Cool vid! Nice Brougham!

  • @djkurse1, hey...thanks for your input. I appreciate that. -BOGAR!

  • Great vid. One could go one step further and to completely disassemble the caps and detail it.

  • @dmx011, Thats a Great point dude. Thanks for commenting, -BOGAR!

  • how do you remove these hubcaps?

  • Pop the center emblem off, then find the special wire wheel cover key, remove the bolt in the center using the key, then the hubcap literally falls off. These hubcaps must have the center bolt to stay on.

  • lol i hate cleaning wheels, thats my least favorite part, thankfully my car has 5 spoke wheels =)

  • I like that handsome picture of you at the beginning! You're Nice and Tall too!

  • That is an awesome video! I actually need to go get one of those power cones. do you recommend any certain brand? Oh yeah, how come I feel smarter when it comes to fixing and cleaning cars after I watch your videos? haha

  • @Kasper8002, Thats because you are a smart guy!

  • maybe, but maybe not! I think it is because I have detail instructional videos! Just remember....its not just a name, its a standard!!!!!

  • damn nice ass fleetwood!! i got a 85 ltd crown vic. wire rims. you wanna trade?? lol

  • @chingongil, Thaks Dude!! and on the trade......well i,i,i,i,i,i,i,i, DON'T think so....no today! LOL. LaTeRz,-BOGAR!

  • @j45007

i know I wouldnt trade a fleetwood for an ltd crown vic either. maybe for a 78-ish lincoln continental.

  • No when he wrecked it, we just took them off and they have been in storage ever since!

  • @CadillacLover4Life, Oh i see! a wreck? thats to bad!

  • Yep, i was supposed to inherit it!

  • I just bought a Porter Cable 7427xp, can't wait for winter to be over so I can clean my car like this!

  • @andrewdoyle88, Dude...THATS REALLY cool!! I like the porter cable....i do recommened that one. I actually like it a bit better for the money then the "Flex" line, such as the 3401 perhaps. I also recommened the "Black n Decker" buffer/polisher. Thats a very Good one for its price especially! Its about 50 dollars less then the Porter Cable or perhaps around there somewhere. But yeah man....Good Choice! LaTeRz, -BOGAR!

  • Exact ones my grandpa had on his 1987

    Cadillac Fleetwood!

  • @CadillacLover4Life, did he switch them out at one time?

  • Very informative... never heard of the power cone before! cool.

  • @macJC50640, I'm Glad you learned something buddy. -BOGAR!

  • cool vid, love the end lol

  • @aoosvarek, Thanks buddy! And thats cool that you liked my ending. what are you upto today? -BOGAR!

  • well nm, school then hockey practice and lots and lots of snow for 2 days straight

  • @aooskvarek, too much snow in your town!

  • well it snowed over night and its even worse lol ill make a vid

  • Comment removed

  • @CadillacMike86, Thanks!! And yes "tedious" but pleasing to the eye when clean. And you can Roll all day long like dat in the summer time and they keep FRESH. Howz yo Cadillac doing?? LaTeRz, -BOGAR!

  • nice vid thanx for uploading and sharing

i clean my wheel cover by hard way not using the smoth drill

just like you whith all stips but

for the very small area i use toothbrush

and by this way i can clean wheel cover and bumper and any shine thing in my 89'caprice

  • i forgot

before u clean the wheel cover remove it and clean the rims

dirt and break dust can distroy your cleaning

  • @hith3m, Thats a Great point buddy!! Thans for that, -BOGAR!

  • man i remember when i was very young , i used to detail cars for a real estate office , and almost all of them had these caddys back then , with these wheels , they are so hard to clean but look so good when done , great vid

  • @oneolqt, but you are still young! LOL. Now thats a fun job, better then McDonalds...LOL. And yes you are very right....they are a pain to clean, but well worth it.....FO SHO!! Nice to hear from you again. -BOGAR!

  • @randomrazr, Thanks Random & your wait is over. And that is very cold up in your area now!! -BOGAR!

  • i use the cones on my bike ☺

  • @rebelrecycler, Thats a Great idea...what kind of bike?

  • beach cruiser old school schwinn.....still like brand new.....15 years old .....more like a snow cruiser right now....but those cones are great to get in the frame .....even tho those cones are new.....but really the idea is old.....use to take rags to form into a cone and put it on the drill

  • @yes i know....My friends and i used to do that in about 1989, 1990 when i started to get into detailing cars for the fun of it. And then we would do neighbors cars for a few dollars. but old or new...alot of people dont know how... And much younger Generations are also learning. Almost any idea can be considered old, but just as useful and valuable to those that learn of it and use it. -BOGAR!

  • 86 for me .....i was 14 at the time when i first got heavy into cars.....detailing was 86-90.....then i picked up again of 93-2002

  • @rebelrecycler, Really? you are older then i thought. -BOGAR!

  • nice vid glad to see u making sum vids again

  • @JakeDaSnakeFilms, yeah thats right it would be perrrrfect for that! i thaught u were going to sell it??

  • Actually I had a couple people call about it over the past week but didn't call back & I had this one girl call about it but she was speakin all "da-ble-dee-ba-da-ble-doo" & I got tired of going "huh?...huh??" so I went {click} :D

  • @JakeDaSnakeFilms, LOLOLOL. I know how that is! And you made me dizzy with all that "da-ble-dee-ba-da-ble-doo"....did i say it right?? LOL. -BOGAR!

  • i love all these shots in here, the first picture is so nice!!

  • @whey2cool4u, I'm Glad you liked the scenes and thanks for commenting on my picture of me and my Brougham.

  • That was very helpful my friend!! I don't have the tool for the powercone, I just use a dollartree power toothbrush and that does well too, just takes longer!! I'll have to be sure and use this video for my next detail on the Caprice! Thanks for the great video and sweet editing!! And as always F&FFL!! -PAUL!
