Rounding up and deporting millions of illegal aliens would be very easy. And, it would happen rather quickly. Just put a bounty on them. Say, $100 per head.
I know many unemployed veterans who would gladly take on the job. Round up 10 every day, by noon, and collect $1000 for the day. @TAMARLANE Sounds good, Here's another idea. @SuckGently is a fucking coward. I asked her to post her phone number so we could meet but she posted a fake one. The fucker is a total keyboard coward with no balls.
Wow, talk about lies and propaganda. The Arizona law to start with is a STATE law. Which John McCain has no control over. Secondly, the law only requires police to confirm immigration status if they stop someone for a primary infraction, and require the persons identification anyway. I know that EVERY state allows police to check for Identification when they pull someone over. And if a person is here illegally then they're not going to have any state issued identification. Common sense folks
@billabong24041Also, It's ALWAYS been a Federal law for an Immigrant to carry a GREEN CARD,it dosen't matter WHAT country you emigrate from. You HAVE to carry that green Card, But the Illegal crowd dosen't know about that because they don't have one.
@propolispills Which is why I have to wonder what all the fuss is about. There's no enforcement from the federal level. You've got sanctuary cities all over the place where the city policy is to look the other way. Arizona simply closed the possibility of sanctuary cities in their state. I say cheers to that. And am encouraged at similar efforts in my state. Although it is disheartening to see we've come to a point where law must dictate that people obey and police enforce the law
@Joe402 Neither am I. I'm advocating the enforcement of law. Your oversimplification shows that you either don't know what you're talking about. Or have an agenda that can only be pushed by taking fact out of the equation.
I am brown if I visit Arizona and some racist cop decides to give me a tough time then I need papers to prove that I am a citizen SOUNDS LIKE A POLICE STATE TO ME but that's just me.
@Joe402 You're an American right? Then you've got either a state ID or a drivers license. Both would prove you're a citizen. And if you want to pull the race card then I can just follow up with the typical line about how you could be subject to profiling ANYWHERE by using the same measure. A racist cop could be one in Detroit, Boise, LA... You get the picture. There are far worse things you could be accused of. And you have to give them a reason to stop you for them to even question you on it.
@Joe402 What are they going to stop you for on your walk to work? Failing to sneeze in to your hand? As I've said before their ability to ask you to prove citizenship is secondary. Which means there has to be a legitimate reason to stop you to begin with. And as I said, if they infringe on your civil rights you call the ACLU and make sure they are held accountable. There will always be over zealous police. Learn how to deal with them because this law will not change that one way or the other.
@billabong24041 Even if you are pulled over for a simple traffic violation, the cops can treat people who look mexican as guilty of being an illegal until proven innocent. There have already been cases where an officer has detained a U.S. citizen even after being shown an ID because they remained suspicious. They required birth certificates and SS cards. AFAIK the cops weren't checking blacks, whites, or Asians for birth certificates and SS numbers. Where's the common sense in that?
@bb1televator If you're stating that this has happened under the law in question I'll follow up with you're full of shit. The law has yet to take effect. And if you're just talking about police in general then I'll have to refer you to the fact that with or without this new law there's no way to stop that from happening. Would you mind pointing out the cases where this happened? And then following up with what they were awarded in their subsequent lawsuits?
@billabong24041@billabong24041 I used the hyphened term out of expediency, Quit arguing over trivial semantics. You are right in a sense though. It isn't even law yet, but some police have jumped the gun and done wrong already. I can't link you to the stories in the comments, and I'm not going to waste my time giving you all the details, because I'm not naive enough to believe you'd really listen to it all anyway.
@bb1televator You're trying to justify bad action under a law that hasn't taken effect yet as being a problem caused by the law. How about for a change we give credit where credit is due? Police who violate constitutional rights are police who should be held accountable. Period. And yes. If you had proof of an incident I would have no choice to acknowledge that it happened. I may not accept that it was because of the new law. But as with most subjects I prefer to be skeptical.
@billabong24041 If things like that are happening before it's actually law, how bad do you think it'll get after it is law and the police can really use it to cover their asses? Also what you fail to see is that this law mandates different treatment of people who look a certain way. It's discriminatory, regardless of an officer's prejudices.
@bb1televator First off it doesn't allow for a person to be stopped because they look like an illegal immigrant. It allows them to ask for proof of immigration status AFTER they've been stopped. And a valid drivers license would prove your immigration status as being a citizen. And I never feel flustered over being asked for that when I've been speeding. It mandates police NOT look the other way when a person they're already dealing with COULD be here illegally.
@bb1televator And on a side note. It's not unequal treatment from police officers you need to worry about. Well, unless you happen to have a weapon. It is unequal treatment through the courts. Which I have yet to hear complaints about. Couldn't be that liberals have been using the court system to get what they want for the past few decades could it? If an officer violates your rights you sue. Call the ACLU and make sure you are compensated and the officer is punished. Not so horrible
@bb1televator You see police are not programed machines. Which means occasionally you'll get a rogue officer that is out for settling a personal score, and doesn't care about the law. What you described can be applied to all sorts of scenarios and situations. Don't pretend that Mexican immigrants (or if you believe in hyphenated Americans) Mexican-Americans are the only people who have fallen victim to this. It happens to all kinds of people and there are consequences for police that do it.
It's amazing to see the ignorance being displayed by some, like this person who posted this video! I mean, the bill is nothing more than an exact mirror of the Federal law, only it's been made state law. To take it a step further, AZ has amended the law to specify, "There must be a crime committed FIRST, No racial profiling allowed" ...yet, these idiots continue as to say it is racial profiling. The RACIST are those claiming racism! ALL OF YOU! Admit it, you just want to argue! Lame losers!
@AngryStudioEngineer Bla bla bla...Everyone has already heard you little talking points son..The fact is, you are the ignorant one here, and quite naive as well..There are far better ways to end this problem without infringing on our guaranteed Freedom and Liberty...Also, if you think you have to actually break the law to be stopped by police you truly are an idiot living in a fantasy...
@SuckGently When a cop stops you to talk to you what is the first thing they ask for? If you answered "Identification" You'd be correct. All I ask is they not look the other way when a person A: Can't speak english B: Can't produce an ID C: Isn't here legally. You know damn good and well sanctuary cities not only allow but require such disregard for the law from their police.
lol afterwards. But the original sb 1070 was disgustingly unconstitutional to the point where it was just sad how many pseudo constitutionalists supported it. In addition the constitution states only the federal government will handle naturalization policies etc. Reason why ICE and INS are under federal and not state control. You should read up on law before you call others ignorant sir. But yea; hate to break it to you but being reasonable brown is no reason for discrimina
@PonsXAsinorum And when an illegal immigrant commits a crime the local police are to do what? Turn him loose with a summons to immigration court? Hope to god they can catch them when ICE is present? This law only makes it illegal to break federal law
Here's where it actually needs to be modified; if you catch an illegal committing a violent crime then obviously like any other criminal, they've foregone most rights. If a citizen is a suspected murderer the least you can do is show ID; same should apply to violent immigrants. Otherwise, from what I've read, this forces police to precariously decide who should show ID and who shouldn't. I've read the bill; have you? Do you even know what its called w/out having to ask?
@PonsXAsinorum To begin with. When you get pulled over. No violence, no REAL danger. Simply for having a tail light out, failing to signal, hell... Maybe you were going 1 mile per hour over the speed limit. Does the cop NOT have the right to ask for your identification? If you fit the description, height, weight, hair color, maybe visible tattoo, of someone suspected of a crime... Don't you typically have to show id when confronted?
@PonsXAsinorum Yes, that does happen. And they should respect the constitution first and foremost. What is in question... At least for me anyway, is whether or not Arizona has the right to make it illegal to break immigration law, and to require law enforcement (and cities) to enforce the law. Naturally government is going to screw everything up. Which is why it should be kept as small as possible. But Arizona is making a decent effort at solving half of the illegal immigration problem
oh i see so this bill isn't about stopping violent immigrants right? Otherwise they could have much easily make one specifically tailored for criminals.
@PonsXAsinorum The problem isn't limited to violent illegal immigrants. There is a problem being fostered by illegal immigrants in the workforce. The human rights issue is on the end where illegal immigrants have no way to enforce their rights in the workplace. As I said this is half of the problem that needs solving. The other half would be how difficult it is to gain citizenship. Let's not kid ourselves. Amnesty is simply a reward for breaking existing laws
@PonsXAsinorum Excuse me but the last time I checked, Going to a place of business, weather its a bar or anything else IS a right, NOT a privilege. You have the RIGHT to move freely and to pursue your life without infringement, unless of course you have BROKEN THE LAW.
"The emblem of the Republican Party should be changed from an elephant to a condom. The condom more clearly reflects the Party's current stance... owing to the fact that a condom accepts inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed....
@rocky19421 You've just described the DNC as well. Fancy that! Two parties, one goal, and thousands of different plans on how to get the same effect. And one moron that thinks that his party is innocent. Poor Rocky has taken a few too many blows to his melon
@rocky19421 Yes yes. How predictable of you. If they don't agree then limit their ability to be heard right? That tactic is so much fun when it is turned on to its proponents. It's so much fun to me to see the left try to silence their opposition rather than use any kind of logic or reason to win the debate.
@billabong24041 Hey dude, where's your sense of humor? I was agreeing with you in an off handed way. What is the link between being a conservative and having zero sense of humor. Or is it that having zero sense of humor makes you a conservative. The one thing they seemed to have mastered though is maintaining a simmering anger.....
@rocky19421 Lol, read the response again. Granted your agreeing with me "in an off handed way" was lost on me.But simply because my idea of humor and yours don't line up doesn't constitute lack of a sense of humor. I don't get you and you don't get me. But you're also mistaken. I'm on the side of conservatives on a number of issues. You're talking to someone that simply stands firm on principals. Not to an ideologue.
Thank you Arizona, Deport, deport, deport and then deport some more and have them take their anchor babies with them. Arizona doesn't want to land up like California, with all the brain dead liberals that have destroyed that state. We love you Arizona.
@the82spartans Well we are and have been waiting, for several decades now, and the Feds Still don't have a Clue what to do about it. Well Our State has been Forced to get a handle on it. All these people that think this is unfair, Come down here to Phoenix and just watch the evening news and look at the number of drop houses, Drug arrests and Property crimes, Not to mention Welfare and medical costs, Who's supposed to pay for this? The Arizona Taxpayer? We are tired of it!
@propolispills Yes, we are in full agreement. Everyone is bumming on AZ but its not our fault. This is what will happen to other states like AZ because only the Fed Gov'ment may legislate immigration policy but this law now gives AZ the right to enforce the Fed laws which were ignored to begin. In addition to no comprehensive immigration reform by the Fed they seem to let us sink back to the lawless wild west of the 19th century.
Republican's/Conservative's are tapping into the distorted, angry, energy now. Tricking these people into voting there own right's away. Like watching a feeding frenzy. Like shark's on a piece of chum. Throw a controversial law out their, And watch them go at it, This will keep em busy for awhile. Get there eye's off the ball. Then I'll ask for there vote.
@TheBlueConch Look who's talking there chief. Weren't the Democrats and Progressives the ones who waved ALL of our rights of deciding how to pay for our own medical care so they could give MORE power to not the state government which is easier to oust... But the FEDERAL government. And now are asking for MORE power over ALL lending, energy production, the internet... And STILL more to come? Pot calling the kettle black
@TheBlueConch Awe, look at you thinking you're cool. Telling me to go to sleep. Like the communist he is thinking he can tell me what to do. It's like a dog so small he can't hold himself still when he barks.
The TOXIC dumbing down of the conservative movement (1950s to present): Buckley / Goldwater (rolling over in their graves) Nixon's Secret Plan & Southern Strategy Reagan (Trickle-down & MASSIVE DEBT) Religious right hijacks Jesus. GOP hijacks the flag. Limbaugh & Hate Radio Family values hypocrisy Fox "News" Bush/Cheney/Rove Palin Birthers Beck GOP corporatists hijack Tea Party. The abyss? Conservatives, you are HERE.
Thank you Arizona, we hope the other states will follow your lead. Arizona you make me proud to be a US citizen with the guts to stand up or our fellow countrymen against those that are illegally in this country. Mexico has tried for years to occupy and take over the west, but Arizona had the guts to say no. Next we need to get rid of NALEO, MEChA, La Raza, LULAC, MALDEF and Chicano Studies. But we're working on it. Thank you Arizona, thank you thank you thank you.
Considering what you say we need to get rid of (chicano studies? seriously?), I can't tell if you honestly don't understand this bill, or if you are a troll.
@MachShot1337 heh, heh.... but when a Mexican National who entered illegally or his here illegally and murders a US Citizen? What then? Ho hum? Life in the big city, eh MachShot? It makes local news but not so much on the national scene. The families of those victims are ignored and then forgotten, but Al Shaprton will bang the drum loud and clear for his agenda. I side with Americans getting civil rights as provided to us in our US Constitution.
@PFW23 Statistics? I don't need no stinking statistics! Kidding. They are fine but what if it is you that had you or you're families civil rights screwed over by a Mexican National. Crime stat's go up and down. One murder is too many, but it is not AZ's fault to try to secure it from the back-side because the Fed Gov'ment didn't do it on the front end. I don't have to listen to a TV station to see what is going on, BTW.
@PFW23 Check your facts again. Border violence is at all all time high and beginning to migrate north. And are kidnappings suddenly not considered violent crime? Someone is misinforming to support their agenda alright.
@PFW23 It's Obvious you haven't been to Phoenix in a long time if ever, If you have , maybe you should get out more often rather than reading some imaginary statistics. This city is got plenty of violent crime to go around.
@MrYoubrian Let Mexico decide how to deal with their illegal immigration laws. Which are far more strict than ours I might add. They're their own country. If they want to imprison people for trespassing on their soil then that is their right. If they want to turn them over to their home country... Again, THEIR right.
If the GOP doesn't support a Comprehensive Immigratiion Bill that includes a path to citizenship for those already here (like Ronald Reagan's) it'll lose the Hispanic vote & they've alreadly lost most of the labor vote, gay vote, youth vote, pro-choice women's vote, black & asian vote & then the GOP will be over,.
You can't win w/ just old white racists & rednecks.
@DillonDee1 Oh no! Don't marginalize white people! It's such a NEW tactic! They might actually take it to heart and back down from their principals! Lord have mercy you called me a racist redneck for not supporting amnesty! What on earth shall I do? *special note of sarcasm for the chronically stoned liberal base that is typically too busy getting high to vote*
"Students Kicked Off Campus for Wearing American Flag Tees"
"
. . . to many Mexican-American students at Live Oak, this was a big deal. They say they were offended by the five boys and others for wearing American colors on a Mexican holiday.
"I think they should apologize cause it is a Mexican Heritage Day,"... "We don't deserve to be get disrespected like that. We wouldn't do that on Fourth of July.
@TylerNull It's America. If you feel disrespected by a display of my flag you've got no business being here (not you specifically, the people that were offended). The Mexican flag fly's high year round in Mexico. Even on the fourth of July. Get over it. You're in America now.
What the Mexican ingrates failed to grasp in their complaint is that it's not a question of what day of celebration, but of the nation in which it's occurring.
They say they wouldn't fly the Mexican flag on the 4th of July, but that's NOT a relevant comparison.
The comparison is for US citizens to go to Mexico on the 4th of July, fly the American flag, and then attack anyone flying a Mexican flag, claiming the Mexicans were thereby "disrespecting" Americans.
@the82spartans Getting hater's fired up to make them vote a certain way, and then play the part, and ride the wave in. He flip flop's all the time on his view's, Trying to catch that perfect wave in.
@TheBlueConch Hmmmm...McCain is running for office as an incumbent and faces stiff opposition from JD Hayworth, who btw, is in agreement with you when calling John a 'flip-flopper'. The 'perfect wave' is a wave good-bye for 'haters' and instead a pipe-line for US Citizen Rights. Many US Citizens are murdered so the border must be controlled. The AZ law is the back end result of what the US Fed Gov'ment didn't control. States rights? See: US Constitution
@the82spartans I looked at the murder rate in souther'n Arizona, No spike, In fact quite the opposite, So don't bother replying, I see where you are coming from.
@TheBlueConch Well, all it takes is a few. Besides, it is unfair to include only Southern AZ. Phoenix is central AZ. As for the 'coyotes'? They are brutal...and it is Mexican Nationals preying on Mexican Nationals.
@the82spartans I think there is a tidal wave of ignorant voter's Wanting to vote republican's, who seem to have been trying to destroy this country from the inside out for quite some time now. Ignorant racist and hater's are being exposed everywhere in this country lately. and seem to be coming out of the woodwork in drove's. Under the false impression that they are the "real" American's. Thereby, tricking voter's.
McCain was what the old farts in charge of the GOP wanted to delegate as their candidate in 2008.they fought all opposition to nominate Ron Paul..its pretty sad, cause Ron Paul actually makes sense and is a very good american role model.
@TheBlueConch This bill isn't going to effect McCain in any way shape or form. Any idiot with even half the facts would know that John McCain represents Arizona in Washington. The new law is a STATE law that was put in to effect on the STATE level. But don't let facts get in the way of your hippie agenda. Your crowd are too stoned to understand anyway right?
At present, Article 67 of Mexico's Population Law says, "Authorities, whether federal, state or municipal ... are required to demand that foreigners prove their legal presence in the country, before attending to any issues."
I'm not sure what the particulars of this bill are, however, I heard NPR describe it as "a bill that would make being here illegally a crime." What do we not understand about the concept of illegality?
@LightCodeDemonH When you get pulled over by a Cop when driving, and he asks you to show him your license, is that Nazism? To prove you aren't driving illegally?
@gangstarrpirate you are correct on that front, but cops will now ask to see Birth Certificate and other papers to prove you are a citizen. /watch?v=knv6nDZX1mc&playnext_from=TL&videos=c4Z1A-wcXGo :43 to 2:41

Questions for Illegal Aliens:
[In English Only]
* Why are you above the laws that citizens & legal aliens must obey?
* Why do you call us racists when you call yourselves La Raza; "THE Race"?
* Why should you not "show your papers", when everyone else does, even for routine traffic stops?
* Aren't you defeating your own purpose by helping the Drug & Human Traffickers & Cartels you come here to escape?
* If you love your home country, why do you allow it to devolve onto a Narco State?

Hey man I'm not the one advocating a police state.
Joe402 1 year ago
@Joe402 Neither am I. I'm advocating the enforcement of law. Your oversimplification shows that you either don't know what you're talking about. Or have an agenda that can only be pushed by taking fact out of the equation.
billabong24041 1 year ago
@billabong24041
I am brown if I visit Arizona and some racist cop decides to give me a tough time then I need papers to prove that I am a citizen SOUNDS LIKE A POLICE STATE TO ME but that's just me.
Joe402 1 year ago
@Joe402 You're an American right? Then you've got either a state ID or a drivers license. Both would prove you're a citizen. And if you want to pull the race card then I can just follow up with the typical line about how you could be subject to profiling ANYWHERE by using the same measure. A racist cop could be one in Detroit, Boise, LA... You get the picture. There are far worse things you could be accused of. And you have to give them a reason to stop you for them to even question you on it.
billabong24041 1 year ago
@billabong24041
What if I am walking to work or something and I forget my driver's license? Also I live in LA I think I know a thing or two about racist cops.
Joe402 1 year ago
@Joe402 What are they going to stop you for on your walk to work? Failing to sneeze in to your hand? As I've said before their ability to ask you to prove citizenship is secondary. Which means there has to be a legitimate reason to stop you to begin with. And as I said, if they infringe on your civil rights you call the ACLU and make sure they are held accountable. There will always be over zealous police. Learn how to deal with them because this law will not change that one way or the other.
billabong24041 1 year ago
@billabong24041 Even if you are pulled over for a simple traffic violation, the cops can treat people who look mexican as guilty of being an illegal until proven innocent. There have already been cases where an officer has detained a U.S. citizen even after being shown an ID because they remained suspicious. They required birth certificates and SS cards. AFAIK the cops weren't checking blacks, whites, or Asians for birth certificates and SS numbers. Where's the common sense in that?
bb1televator 1 year ago
@bb1televator If you're stating that this has happened under the law in question I'll follow up with you're full of shit. The law has yet to take effect. And if you're just talking about police in general then I'll have to refer you to the fact that with or without this new law there's no way to stop that from happening. Would you mind pointing out the cases where this happened? And then following up with what they were awarded in their subsequent lawsuits?
billabong24041 1 year ago
@billabong24041 @billabong24041 I used the hyphened term out of expediency, Quit arguing over trivial semantics. You are right in a sense though. It isn't even law yet, but some police have jumped the gun and done wrong already. I can't link you to the stories in the comments, and I'm not going to waste my time giving you all the details, because I'm not naive enough to believe you'd really listen to it all anyway.
bb1televator 1 year ago
@bb1televator You're trying to justify bad action under a law that hasn't taken effect yet as being a problem caused by the law. How about for a change we give credit where credit is due? Police who violate constitutional rights are police who should be held accountable. Period. And yes. If you had proof of an incident I would have no choice to acknowledge that it happened. I may not accept that it was because of the new law. But as with most subjects I prefer to be skeptical.
billabong24041 1 year ago
@billabong24041 If things like that are happening before it's actually law, how bad do you think it'll get after it is law and the police can really use it to cover their asses? Also what you fail to see is that this law mandates different treatment of people who look a certain way. It's discriminatory, regardless of an officer's prejudices.
bb1televator 1 year ago
@bb1televator First off it doesn't allow for a person to be stopped because they look like an illegal immigrant. It allows them to ask for proof of immigration status AFTER they've been stopped. And a valid drivers license would prove your immigration status as being a citizen. And I never feel flustered over being asked for that when I've been speeding. It mandates police NOT look the other way when a person they're already dealing with COULD be here illegally.
billabong24041 1 year ago
@bb1televator And on a side note. It's not unequal treatment from police officers you need to worry about. Well, unless you happen to have a weapon. It is unequal treatment through the courts. Which I have yet to hear complaints about. Couldn't be that liberals have been using the court system to get what they want for the past few decades could it? If an officer violates your rights you sue. Call the ACLU and make sure you are compensated and the officer is punished. Not so horrible
billabong24041 1 year ago
@bb1televator You see police are not programed machines. Which means occasionally you'll get a rogue officer that is out for settling a personal score, and doesn't care about the law. What you described can be applied to all sorts of scenarios and situations. Don't pretend that Mexican immigrants (or if you believe in hyphenated Americans) Mexican-Americans are the only people who have fallen victim to this. It happens to all kinds of people and there are consequences for police that do it.

It's amazing to see the ignorance being displayed by some, like this person who posted this video!

In addition the constitution states only the federal government will handle naturalization policies etc. Reason why ICE and INS are under federal and not state control. You should read up on law before you call others ignorant sir. But yea; hate to break it to you but being reasonable brown is no reason for discrimina
PonsXAsinorum 1 year ago
@PonsXAsinorum And when an illegal immigrant commits a crime the local police are to do what? Turn him loose with a summons to immigration court? Hope to god they can catch them when ICE is present? This law only makes it illegal to break federal law
billabong24041 1 year ago
@billabong24041
PonsXAsinorum 1 year ago
@PonsXAsinorum To begin with. When you get pulled over. No violence, no REAL danger. Simply for having a tail light out, failing to signal, hell... Maybe you were going 1 mile per hour over the speed limit. Does the cop NOT have the right to ask for your identification? If you fit the description, height, weight, hair color, maybe visible tattoo, of someone suspected of a crime... Don't you typically have to show id when confronted?

PonsXAsinorum 1 year ago
@PonsXAsinorum Yes, that does happen. And they should respect the constitution first and foremost. What is in question... At least for me anyway, is whether or not Arizona has the right to make it illegal to break immigration law, and to require law enforcement (and cities) to enforce the law. Naturally government is going to screw everything up. Which is why it should be kept as small as possible. But Arizona is making a decent effort at solving half of the illegal immigration problem
billabong24041 1 year ago
@billabong24041
oh i see so this bill isn't about stopping violent immigrants right? Otherwise they could have much easily make one specifically tailored for criminals.
PonsXAsinorum 1 year ago
@PonsXAsinorum The problem isn't limited to violent illegal immigrants. There is a problem being fostered by illegal immigrants in the workforce. The human rights issue is on the end where illegal immigrants have no way to enforce their rights in the workplace. As I said this is half of the problem that needs solving. The other half would be how difficult it is to gain citizenship. Let's not kid ourselves. Amnesty is simply a reward for breaking existing laws
billabong24041 1 year ago
@PonsXAsinorum Excuse me but the last time I checked, Going to a place of business, weather its a bar or anything else IS a right, NOT a privilege. You have the RIGHT to move freely and to pursue your life without infringement, unless of course you have BROKEN THE LAW.

billabong24041 1 year ago
@billabong24041
Exactly.
