yeah if you actually read the critics reviews a lot of them think its on par with iOS and better than android. I love my Droid X but as soon as nokia releases a duel core processor WP7 on verizon with all the other specs I want I'm leaving android and not looking back. My biggest reason is I love my Zune HD and the WP7 OS is just like it and I can't wait.
regardless of which is a tiny bit better at certain points, I'd like to have a windows phone 10x times better than an android one. If only for microsoft office and the more professional and stylish look
i want it so badly..i like the effects of WP7, i like the cool smartphone. but 1 thing that keep me 1 step away from buying this is its limitation to extend memory.
all the people hating on this phone... how many of you actully own it? i DO have this phone and can i say it is better than ANY of the iphones (i have a 3gs), infact its the best phone ive EVER used in my life;
the main feature i love about thing phone is that facebook acts as your PHONEBOOK. you save the persons number to their facebook profile and whenever they ring their facebook photo and facebook name comes up - although this sounds complicated it is actully so simple that when i found
and got used to these features i had a huge smile on my face, this phone takes one day to get used to and then it is so simple to operate. it looks BRILLIANT the scrolling is very smooth, i have my phone packed with music and its never lagged once.... what else can i say?
I think we should not forget coming Bada 1.2 version too. Samsung is really great. ow can they make many phones running on 4 different OS? Omnia 7 looks like the best window 7 phone.
We got the samsung focus, which is all plastic. Come on, haven't they heard the complaints when they sold the galaxy S phones? Everybody kept saying it was good besides the capacitive buttons and the flimsy plastic, but samsung ignored them.
I'm on ATT and the other two options is LG with the slider which I don't need and the HTC surround which seems too clunky. Argh.
@skrbicdu I don't quite follow what you say about the dial pad? You mean to make a phone call? It looks fine to me! There is no sim card as you saw so you can't make a phone call.
Not bad at all ! Maybe not yet at at the level of iOS or Android yet, but miles ahead of WM 6.x. Nice transition effects too. Never thought I'd be saying this, but good job Microsoft ! Certainly better than what most people would have expected.
@parampreet1981 Actually I think it's ahead of Android when it comes to responsiveness and the smoothness,Android always felt rough around the edges the transitions are clunky, scrolling zooming are slow, WP7 almost looks smoother than iO.S it's insane.
@skrbicdu so it takes 1/2 a second longer to open the dialer , big deal ? but atleast it gives you quick access to people you stay in touch with on a regular basis on the home screen something the iPhone can't do.
you're really going to base your opinion of a o.s on that ? it's a generation 1 o.s so it'll have some minor annoyances , remember when the iPhone launched it didnt even have the ability to search contacts.
I think it depends how customisable this is. If there was an option to turn off the animations or make the writing bigger or smaller or to even, use Windows Classic theme, this phone would exceed iOS.
I agree.I don't like the way it looks. The transitions are annoying and pointless and just take time and power. I bet the battery on this device don't last long.
one of the best phones that i ever see

No wonder why Nokia changed to WP7, it's miles ahead of iOS, Android and Symbian.

OH! I'm so jealous at you! Wish I had that phone here right now.
Sad enough, they're not sold yet in my country.

I don't see if this interface is useful in any way. It is made to show itself, not to benefit the user experience.

Bada 1.2 would be released in november and rumors are that Samsung is pinning high hopes on it after lukewarm response to Bada 1.0.

This is even worse than iOS.

@skrbicdu the Metro UI is more about focus and differenciation rather than graphics, which should means less searching,
but I disgree about the speed ,it's silky smooth and fast, a whole lot faster than any Android deveie I've used.
