people in crytek said that the game wil be playable on a radeon9800,but ppl who have it say that beta was running like shit on ther pc's like 20-30fps on lowest settings 1024x768

Ummm....the 9800 was like 3-4years ago, its time to move on. If your still trying to game with a 9800, with new games, then your retarded. Or poor. The game runs smoother than you think, the 320 GTS will play it fine. Its not Cryteks fault if you have a crappy GPU.

the reason the trees didnt move is cuz the beta doesnt have that stuff in it. you cant shoot trees downn either but in the real game you will be able to. and i love the beta best beta ever

what do you mean mate, cause i was thinking the same, do you mean in the proper game that you buy in multiplayer the trees will be able to be shot down and all that good stuff or do you just mean in single player ?

i mean.. there was not a single movement in the tree next to the explosion. I remember another vid (official vid) where the (bigger) nuke blasts away like everything. Now thát was cool :P

So everyone starts out with the simple armor suit and a regular MG and pistol... and you have to kill people or complete objectives to upgrade your suit/weapons right?

You level up each round be killing people or taking objectives, each lever gives you more points when you spawn to buy different things.

every beta MP video has no combat with other player just the player going around here and there y meaby power strugle maps are so big

for a low numbers of players

Shadow is normal for cloak its the only thing that nerfs it... other wise its impossible to see some one

I think that shadow is not a bug.A team made an incredible cryEngine2 should not have made such a critic error.I think they knowingly did this.

You know guys it IS a beta, and I am running Fraps and its on medium high, I turned the settings on max and it ran like 5 frames slower...

Its just not optimized yet, wait till the game comes out.

just to let u know nvidia havnt released ANYTHING about the GeForce 9 series. i know 2 people who actually work for nvidia AND another who moderates the Nvidia forum AND ANOTHER who is an nvidia graphics card vendor

also why wud nvidia be releasing a new card when the ultra performs WAY better than the ATI 1

No. The G92, which will launch this year, is a mainstream chipset apart from the G90 which is the Nvidias upcoming flagship which will potentially launch early next year so retailers can sell of the Ultras before they are forced to cut down prices. G90 will be the chip that'll fight R700 and vice versa, G92 is a mainstream chip as G96 is budget. I guess the RV680 would be a better Crysis performer than the 8800GTX as well, as it launches.

Indoor environments are clone to the stuff found in F.E.A.R. Though FEAR had better lightning effects indoors. If the game runs this bad on that rig even if it's optimized for Nvidia...ugh, way to go.

Frame rate is choppy cause of fraps. I got like 60 to 20 FPS normally... since the new beta drivers came out the game runs alot better ill send some footage next time on high settings instead of medium high

DirectX10 is nothing new compared to DX9, it's just optimization to make up for Vistas raping awful performance and incorporation some new minor technologies Microsoft could have gotten into DX9 but decided to call it DX10 for Vista to pass atleast ten sold copies worldwide.
