Why the hell would you bother putting this up? Forgiving the useless "camera-work" & horrible audio, all I is that you ran a port scan & then *logged into a machine with a known password*.
What moron keeps root ssh login?
Rather than continue looking like a nooblet, I *highly* suggest re-titling this vid "Logging in with SSH 101 after pretending to be l337 hax0r"
The purpose of the video was to display commands used in profiling a host. Like I stated in the video - I am scanning my local range for the SSH service.
I am recording detailed command line arguements for later use by myself - It was not meant to be a tutorial on how to get root.
The Distro in the Video (the one with the green text) is Fedora Core 8. How ever, I am currently running Open BSD. It is a slightly more secure O/S. A minimal Distro.
That said, the Laptop in the Video with the girl as a background is Windows XP I think. Or Vista. I forget.
Oh my bad, i get some of them mixed up, I run OpenSUSE, Solaris, Ubuntu 9.04, and Debian and then crappy lil' vista along with it :) Thanks for the correction.
wanna make me a OS ?! :') lol xD i got something to work :p wrote an app in c++ for windows, opening so i could use nc from linux to access my windows pc :D cool ^^
I am currently writing a Twitter program using the Twitter API and OAuth for authentication. It has a Desktop backend written entirely in Visual Basic.
The Desktop has a Window Manager, Process Manager, INIT sequence, and Kernel.
Sorry about the quality of my video. I currently have set up gtk-recordmydesktop so future videos should be quite clear - also - my mic arrived today so audio commentary is definitely available to me as an option now.
If you are having trouble with putty, make sure you are entering in the correct IP address - the one in the video no longer has SSH open port because of all the attention it received because of this video! haha...
Y'know I've never tried putty on a 127.0.0.1 loopback...I suppose it should work because I have also had it on a local network where I connect to another computer on my Linux network using addresses such as 192.168.1.102 etc
Like I said, I left the default settings in tact and just connected via inputting the IP address in the correct field then hitting connect and after accepting the public key i was connected...
what happens when you scan a computer that has SSH on a port other than 22? how the fuck does that work then? ... just a thought.

Yes, you don't know that there are hackers don't need CamStudio to record their exploits.
Or you are a retarded trying to be one of those who only knows CamStudio.

how does your "local range" include a class A ip address belonging to your isp?

Oh, I've just checked your profile - a new trolling account with only 18 video views - no videos of your own - and little else details.
That is kinda lame you use you tube to vent your disappointments with the world.

"... slightly more secure O/S" ... Wow. Way to *not* understand OpenBSD.
OpenBSD make Linux look like a Fisher-Price OS. Fuck.

Calm down, I doubt you even run OBSD. Haha! I DO!

Are you multibooting or using a i386 emulator?
I used to multiboot Fedora and Vista.
That said, currently running XP on my netbook with VIsual Studio 2005 and a OpenBSD server for mail.
Writing a Twitter program in fact in Visual Basic. Twitter programs are the future!

I'm dual booting Debian 64 bit and Vista Home Prem. 64 bit. and then have the others on an i386 emulator. Sun VirtualBox

Yeah, but I'm at college programming under Wind Blows now.
I am also trying to learn assembler so I may make a few 32-bit assembler videos under Wind Blows!
