  • i never knew thay played MTV unplugged. what year? how many songs?

  • @fearview

Yeah, that was when they still played music on mtv... Loooong time ago. Try google?

  • gotta love the 80's

  • Tesla was the very best of the end of an era/decade

  • Tesla is the best cover band that never had an original song.

  • THX Malondri!!!! Helps my library!!

  • them were the good ol days now you find this song on vh1 classic

  • Love it!!!

  • signs .... see listen & pay attention. love these boys .. great concert

  • Hippies are stupid. Really stupid...and GAY

  • @NokMuay666 Well thats what great about hippies, you don’t accept who we are but we accept you. Oh btw we gave a nick nickname for your mom, we call her crack pipe. Thats because everyone passes her around and takes a hit at her.

  • @williamiwu thats horible! use ur head snapper head.we were just kids when the hippies wer in there prime. don't know when u were born ? but i was born in 67 . BTW we do not talk shit about moms !!

  • @kinnylee87able Yeah you’re right I guess we should just let people talk shit about us hippies and roll over and play dead. Oh wait, isn’t that what the government expects us to do when they feed us their garbage. Until you spend a day in my place I think its best you just head on over to the Justin Beiber section of youtube.

In parting I ask, where did you go to school at? I see my tax dollars were well spent on your spelling and grammar. Wonder if I can get a refund on my tax dollars?

  • Who stole my tesla tape?

  • I LIVE IN SACREMENTO.... AND ABOUT 17 YEARS AGO, MY UNCLE USED TO ALWAY HANGOUT WITH THE LEAD SINGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! from what ive heard, he is a really cool guy!

  • man I've always loved this song... and the way it makes me feel

  • awesome :)

  • I remember the good old days when the Five Man Electrical Band did this song, back in the early 70s, long before MTV and Tesla.

  • MTV just sucks now. I am from a little town about 45 minutes south of Sacramento so we used to see Tesla often they never disappointed those boys rock a stage & a crowd. I love the Led Zeppelin & Aerosmith covers that they have done, JK has a phenomenal voice.

  • Fuck free energy. Tesla - Mechanical Resonance. Top 5 albums of all time from start to finish

  • i bet most of the americans who listen to tesla play this song dont realize it was originaly by a canadain band

  • @TheTnuggs The original was outstanding . It's hard to do a remake of such a stellar song, but Tesla does okay.

  • my new favorite old rock song!!!!

  • hmm, 4496 people like this, i think I've "liked" this at least a hundred times

  • I hate MTV now, b/c of how it's changed over the years!!!! Here's to back in the day!!!!

  • I loved the alternative revolution a lot, but I have to admit, music before grunge was a whole lot more exciting

  • @malondiri The Manhattan Project was named after an 1898 Manhattan Earthquake caused by Nikola Tesla in Trinity, Manhattan. -Tesla made earthquakes then Nikola Tesla made Tunguska

  • It's hard to imagine MTV would have my dudes on even back then. Tesla forever!

  • Tesla rocks!!!!!!! The unplugged is a masterpiece that NO ONE can equal!! I hope others LOVE TESLA as much as I do-rock on!!!!

  • love Telsa ouuuuyah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.

  • THE F@#ING ORIGANAL ACCOUSTIC BANDS.

  • @071losttech lmfao origanal

  • Just saw them on Monday opening for Scorpions - great show. Kind of a casual party vibe.

  • i dont remember that.i must be too young.

  • WORD! ;) F BUT ONLY UNDER CONTROL OF THE KING...AND THERE IS ONLY 1! & I PRAISE HIM! ;) G ZUS FINALLY THEY ALLOW ACRONYMS 2B SUNG LIVE? WTF???! PERHAPS AEROSMITH'S LYRICS INSPIRING RUNDMC...HELPED THAT ALONG! WINK

WISH I HAD BEEN THERE IN THE AUDIENCE AS THIS SONG HAS/STILL DOES INFLUENCE MY LIFE! A VERY IMPORTANT EVERLASTING THEME OF LIFE THAT WILL LIVE ON PAST US UNTIL WE ALL GET IT.. OR GET BACK! PERHAPS IN A MILLENNIUM OR SO? XOXOZ 5MAN ELECTRIC BAND OR TELSA? SOUNDS THE SAME..HMM LOL ;)

  • great video......cant imagine it being done by anyone but tesla.

  • @IMDARKFIRE007 how about Five Man Electrical Band?

  • @MikeTobacco sometimes......the remake is better. ask aerosmith, they absolutely NAILED "come together". the beatles were great......but aerosmith did it better.

  • @IMDARKFIRE007 No...aerosmith didnt do anything better than the beatles...ever.

  • @SmilinTunes keep telling yourself that.....listen to both versions, its obvious the beatles verison is plain boring next to aerosmiths. im not taking anything from the beatles, they are legends and i love their music. sometimes the student can out perform the teacher. take pearl jams "last kiss" for instance.....the original was popular yes, but the new version stayed at number 1 so long it grew roots.

  • @SmilinTunes

Except every song ever sung by Steven Tyler... I like The Beatles, but Aerosmith rocked way more.

  • origonal is better

  • @DruNation

    Well FUCK YA dude

  • The father of all the unpluggeds

  • U TUBE FUC***G S**KS FIX MY SH*T NOW

  • Their views on exclusiveness really make you want to cry don't they?

  • this was huge right before i went to boot camp Jan 18, 1991. it was definitely the most sung song to get us through the B.S.

  • You must have went to Army boot camp...cause in the Marines I cant remember a time in the 13 weeks when we wouldn't have gotten the shit beat out of us for singing anything but cadence or the Marine Corps hymn!

  • @cchanderson youre an idiot!!!!

  • I have the video of this concert. This song was all over Z-Rock nationwide in the 90/91 timeframe. I was in Hawaii.

Just 131,026 views? Just a shame.

  • finally found a good quality version if people are gonna record a video dont shake the camera and shit

  • I can remember when you could watch the video and turn your radio on to a certain station and rock out. Gone are the days of TRUE MUSIC Videos... Sad, so sad

  • too bad you cant find music like this now just glorified bullshit

  • Can someone tell me the name of the singer? Thanks. And I fucking love this song!

  • @SlashezGurl123 His name is Jeff Keith

  • @jwright8894 Oh, thanks. Anyways, he's hot. Lol.

  • Jeff Keith

  • @SlashezGurl123 Jeff Keith. Good man. I got to talk with him in 95' outside the Sacramento Railroad Museum.

  • Anybody rember, way back, when MTV was the only place you could find this video? When MTV was "all music, all the time"?

  • yes i do brotha... to bad it aint like that anymore

  • @Dadrian774 Yeah why do they still call it music televesion??? Its sucks. Do they even still make music videos in rock?? I know country does some videos, but even CMT is starting to go to reality and movies. I wish there was a channel that was strictly MUSIC.

  • Try VH1 Classic

  • FUSE, but most with cable dont get it

  • @Dadrian774 ....ya i remember....mtv went to total shit in like 87 to 90 .....hell i remember when Mtv first hit the airwaves...it was all the rage......headbangers ball with ricky rathman.....and down town julie brown was about the last good stuff they played.

  • @Dadrian774 I remember even the times when MTV hasn't been there and there were just the LPs and tapes of you your friends ... :-)

  • @Dadrian774 :(

  • @Dadrian774 back when M stood for music, guess money smells sweeter...

  • @Dadrian774 yes the good ol days before MTV was a joke!

  • @Dadrian774 I have been looking for this video forever!!

  • @Dadrian774 i hear that man,heres to the good ol days.peace.

  • @Dadrian774 yeah man,i agree with ya.heres to the old days

  • @Dadrian774 Yeah. No it's just "Dumb ass reality(?) tv all the time"

  • @Dadrian774 all GOOD music, all the time

  • nice

  • I've got the hair on my back.......:)

  • i got tha hair lol

  • LOVE THE HAIR!!!!!!

  • the good old days how i miss ya

  • there's DefLep unplugged vids in Sheffield, UK.. they really can sing in harmony as in the records & 3 acoustic guitars played different ways... Pour some sugar on me really rocks!

  • 80s bands that i'd like to go unplugged.

    DEF LEPPARD

    TESLA

    CINDERELLA

    WHITE LION

    Y AND T

    GREAT WHITE

    TRIUMPH

    POISON

SLAYER and SABBATH too he he

  • fuck slayer

  • Slayer could never go unplugged. It'd be like techno going unplugged. to a lesser degree of course.

  • Ha ha of course not...that was a joke...

    keep rocking

  • Somehow I think Slayer would be even more hardcore unplugged.

  • yeah bon jovi on mtv awards...but any rock bands that do acoustic rocks...i miss this kind of music..the music today sucks..not much of great band creating good music today...i wish i was a grown up in the 80's..

  • nah this music was shitty back then too.

  • If not first on mtv one of the first to go unpluged. I rember BonJovi but I think tesla unpluged was much better!!!

  • That is a remake BUT TESLA was the first band to go on mtv unpluged thats were it all started!!!

  • MTV unplugged started in 1989 when Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora were invited to act at the MTV Adwards '89 and they appeared on stage barefooted with just two acoustics guitars...

but... I have to say... I'm falling in love to Tesla!!!

  • The best band to come out of Sacramento CA in recent years.

CP Krunt was awesome as well

RIP Greg Adams ... what a great guitar player !!! Anyone remember him ?

Get back to me if you do !!!!

  • classic rock rules!!

  • tesla rocks!!!!

saw em live last year, great surprize, i'm from europe and never expected to see tesla live.

    keep on rockin

  • This was before they had the nice form fitting earplugs that they have today.

  • Tesla didn't write this song although they did a remarkable cover of it! The original song was written and made famous by The Five Man Electrical Band in 1971.

  • thats right the song written by five man electrical band in 1971 ....n 1971 Five Man Electrical band signed with a little label owned by writer Jimmy Webb and producer Dallas Smith called Lion Records. They re-issued "Signs" from the band's first full album Goodbyes & Butterflies (shortly after changing some cover art) and the single went to No.3 in the U.S. and No.4 in Canada selling more than 2 million copies worldwide.

  • do this, don't do that, can't you read the signs.....

  • i love this song....i thought if you saw "signs" you were skitzophrenic. go figure....

  • I can hear this song on Hair Nation, and then it'll b in my head for the rest of the day. I LOVE IT!

  • Me to, that is one of the only stations i will listen to.

  • These guys were trailblazers with the acoustic shit long before most bands. MTV could have should have gave them more love once the whole grunge fad started.

  • actually, bon jovi did the first amazing unplugged gig, playing prayer and wanted unplugged for MTV VMA about 1 or 2 years before this.

look it up, its an awesome display of musical ability.

this is great, but that is incredible.

im not a fan of BJ, but that was amazing.

and jethro tull did the first MTV unplugged show in 87 (i think it tull, anyway), but the jovi thing was so poular MTV started the unplugged series of events

  • I know this man. I said long before "most" bands. I don't need a whole MTV Bio dude.

  • sorry, really didnt mean to sound preachy

  • No worries dude. Just listen before you react. Remember a little album called "Five Man Acoustic Jam"? That came out in 1990 and was a huge hit. Like I said they were one of the early bands that had the balls to go acoustic and actually were good at it.

  • they were definitely one of the only bands that were good at it.

poison doing look what the cat dragged in was awful.

the best unplugged ever was rod stewart, and i think that was one of the first MTV unplugged gigs they did.

and wasnt this recording from the 5 man acoustic jam? feel sure it was.

good album, especially since im not much of a tesla fan otherwise

  • Yeah Poison was horrible. But no, Rod did his about 93-94 trying to cash in on the unplugged fad. I was pretty good though. This was from the MTV gig that Tesla did. Before MTV kicked them in the ass when "grunge" came out. F*ckin bastards!

  • wikipedia:

"The first rock artists to perform in an "unplugged" mode on MTV were Jethro Tull, who, on November 17, 1987 as an acoustic trio, performed a bit of "Serenade to a Cuckoo" and "Skating Away (On the Thin Ice of the New Day)". XTC performed in May 1989, and Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora performed "Livin' On A Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive" during the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards.

Following the popularity of the Bon Jovi performance, MTV began the Unplugged series of concerts."

  • love this song they rock

  • this is a kick ass lp

  • Amen, brother! I got to see these dudes jam in Sacramento, summer of 1995. Fantastic set. These dudes keep it real to hometown. That's what its all about.

  • Tesla Five Man Acoustical Jam is one of the best live rock albums ever. This is from MTV Unplugged and not the set in Philly where the album was recorded.

  • i love this song sooo much!!!!!!!!

  • Jolene likes anal

  • TESLA 3:16

  • my fav song of all time

  • fuck tesla five man rules

  • what do you mean by that statement. i can't understand it. was it early one morning? not enuf sleep? or were you talkin to somebody else?

  • what he's refering to is the five man electrical band. they originally wrote the song.

  • i see, thanks.

  • Sign says got to have a membership to get in side aaaaaa,Love this song,(Tesla ) Rocks

  • they were great in concert, love this song and the way they performed it.

  • This song has touched my heart...

  • God this song takes me back, but the band itself is not that great execpt for this and a few others

  • Which is funny, since this isn't even their song. It's just a cover of Five Man Electrical Band's Signs, and it doesn't even sound different. How boring...

  • Great band, Great song, Well worth the listen. 5 star performance.

  • Jeff. <3

  • not their song but FUCKING HELL!!... did they make it theirs... Awsome band....

  • WHOA! on 3:01 that dudes guitarist string breaks.

Oh, and hell fuckin' yes. I love hit song.

All the old rock is like kick ass, they all had soul. .=] I love you guys.

  • wow.

i totally forgot about this song.

it's good to hear it again.

  • this was their best song. and man is he fine!
