everytime i listen to sufjan im taken aback by the sincerity and innocence of his tone. in a day and age where its more desirable to be a cynic, i find him a breath of fresh air. i agree with valar. his playful wings are befitting of only him.

The wings were because he was going through a period of great interest in flight, causing him also to write more material about birds and flight (i.e. lord god bird song).

I got to see him on the winged tour. It was truly gorgeous.
