@Th3C4ke It depends on how your guitar is set up. if its a dreadnought, its probably best set up for med gauge strings. I would probably go with med and have your guitar set up for them if its not already. there a little bit heavier and tend to bring more volume and sustain out of the guitar. and they usually stay in tune better as well. i suggest elixer nanowebs in either 80/20, or phosphor. they last well over 5 times as long for me. hope this helps!
I just want a versatile string to go on my Epiphone LP standard. I actually have 5 DR strings and an Ernie Ball low E string because I didn't want to buy a whole set of DR's just for one low E and G.center only had EB's in "singles"...so...Is that stupid or is mixing string brands common?
if u play acoustic 11 or 10 ( 10 is as thin as it gets ) thicker strings are pure finger pain for me.
there are no variations on nylon string
acoustic guitar is not so good for beginners cause: if u buy a new acoustic as a beginner its probably going to be a cheap one ( high action, hard strings 13or 14)
if u lower the action on a repair shop and change strings might be abit better.
if you want a clear pic of my guitar, please google the words

check out the first 2 images of a blue guitar with one single coil pickup. my guitar is similar to this model, only that mine is bloody red with black outlines.
really need input on my string replacement. thank u very much in advance.
I broke my #1 e-string today and replaced all my guitar strings with a new set of acoustic steel strings. it's my first time replacing the strings of my guitar. i was wondering if I chose the correct string type for an acoustic guitar with a single coil pickup.
Hello there! I have just 1 question...
I'm thinking about to buy the Yamaha CPX700NT guitar. I play the Andy McKee / Don Ross style, lots of harmonics and drumming.
Should I buy Light , medium or heavy strings? Please answer as fast as possible, cheers.

hey friend, im using 10's on my acousitc and it sounds rubbish for strumming
will 12' or 13's give me a better strumming sound?
does it make much difference
teddyboysmith2 8 months ago
@teddyboysmith2 yes. if you do a lot of big chord strumming, heavier guage strings typically sound better
