  • What track do you use in this video?

  • @steamtoysRUS It's PECO SM32 Flexitrack

  • @APBriggs2009

cool would mamod track work well

  • that is a really nice runner smooth could you find out where those Cylinders please.

  • @MamodMan1 I believe that the cylinders are homebuilt rather than a commercially produced part. However there were a couple of people who were interested in producing an upgrade set of slide valve cylinders and valve gear for the humble Mamod loco.

  • What a small world! I just found you at my video of the barber shop business. SO NICE of you to give a kind word! And, you probably know me from a certain UK toy steam forum, owned by a young Lancsman, name of James Chantry?

Are you a member at The Unofficial Mamod and Other Steam Forum? I just about bet that you are there, and I know you there.

Wonderful video work! Five stars, most definitely! First rate! The great pioneer would applaud, you know: George Stephenson!

    He's in your spirits!

  • All it needs now is a summerlands chuffer!

  • It would be nice to fit one, the loco is very quiet as it is, just the occasional gurgle! It would be a fairly tricky job to fit a Summerlands chuffer though as the chimney is fairly short, also the pipework is very tight as the loco is inside framed and it has the twin exhausts from the slide valve cylinders...

  • hmmm, interesting looking thing, nicely proportioned! has the whistle had an extension to make it less ear peircing?

  • Yes, the whistle is extended, it's still quite high pitched but also very very loud!

It's a great way to scare the cat out of the way!

  • nice one alan!

  • Excellent video Alan, Good to see the Loco with a knowledgable and enthusiastic home.

    Lovely layout by the way!

  • Lovely little engine Alan, a real nice buy! Maybe that's the next thing the modification suppliers should consider... fixed cylinder conversion kits!
