  • i thought that the fundamental movement of the swing is the hinging and unhinging of the hips to promote more functional movement and teach the body to move as one chain and strengthen the connection between the links of the kinetic chain. this looks more like rotational flexion of the shoulder.

  • Thank you for the great comments. Glad you're enjoying the videos.

In the lateral swings, you're going to have to come up on the toes to get the full rotation and to keep the torque off the knee. It's the same as in a golf or baseball swing.

As for the bilateral swing at the beginning. You're right. That's very non Pavel and RKC. It's a more kettlebell sport based movement. Instead of just the hip doing all the work, I'm spreading the work out over more of the body, so everything helps and ....

  • is helping to complete the movement, hips, calves, shoulder girdle, etc. I want to work more of my body for a longer period of time instead of just one or two joints doing all the work for a much shorter period of time.

  • I like your move - question - your example of the swing - is it okay to come off of the heels like that? No offense - just never have seen the swing performed like this. Thanks!

  • Love the video dude! interesting movements, keep it up
