It was probably a mixture of both, he always seemed jealous of Gary, who at the time was earning more money than the rest of the boys, because he wrote and performed lead on most of the songs. If you watch old interviews from about 94-95 you sometimes catch him joking about leaving Take That, and becoming 'as big as George Michael'. Also on top of that, it was said he was battling drink and drug addictions, and lost interest in TT.

Yeah, he seemed quite bitter about the whole thing afterwards. Always having little digs towards Gary especially. Umm, you'll see them most of the stuff like that on videos of him accepting awards and things, because he obviously saw those moments as the time when he was better than TT.

This IS TV-am but the presenter is Kathryn Holloway. She was a regular stand in form Lorriane Kelly and "After Nine" presenter Kathy Tayler, this is from "After Nine" in what must be the dying months of TV-am in late 1992. Anne Diamond had left TV-am in 1990
