  • e minor natural ok

  • Beautiful Backing Track!!

  • in what scale is it??

  • Wow I can feel my legs... Or my mind!!!!

  • Why are all these backing tracks in E? I'm gonna make one in D# or Ab just to piss you guitardists off LOL!

  • @edthewave wouldn't matter what key you put it in thats what the CAGE system is for

  • Im just listening to this.

  • Nice!

  • Great track would love to hear this outdoors loud and live! Thanks for posting this.

    Peace Tony

  • very Pink Floyd esque :)

  • c all you guys on the dark side of the moon hahah this backing track is so good

  • very very nice jamsession. I had to record it :)

  • Steve vai's For the Love of God fits this chord progression PERFECTLY.

  • o: amazing!! this is awesome to jam to!! its a big help when practicing!!

  • Man I love this track. Sounds like Pink Floyd or something. Awesome track to practice on.

  • Best...loop....ever!

  • First Chord - Em: E natural minor

    Second Chord - C7: E blues

    Third Chord - B7: E harmonic minor

    Fourth chord A7 - E dorian

There you go! now you can stay near the 12th fret all the time xD.

  • This is beautiful. I've made an improv on it, here's the link: watch?v=8ZslbzLdq0Q hope you enjoy :)

  • I think this track kind of sounds like "Creep" by Stone Temple Pilots.

  • I love this track. no really. LOVE. i had a threesome with it and my guitar tonight. thank you.

  • Such an amazing track. I love the progression. I love the way it builds up.

Thanks so much for posting this.

  • It's unbelieveable... I can't explain.... THIS is music.

  • you could've made some good material with this man

  • SSIIIIIIICCCCCCK!!

  • of course I loved this

  • I like how the dark, slowness emphasizes one's ability to pay attention to one's rhythmic approach.

  • u SUCK DOGGGG U A BITCHHH!

  • for those who might be wondering, the chord progression is basically Em C7 B A

I don't wanna be a part of this discussion at all, but just to throw my 2 cents in: YouOriginal, sure creativity and spontaneity are very important to a musician, but so is musical theory, and i bet that if you tried studying up a bit you would learn how to better use your criativity ;)

for instance, try an E half diminished arpeggio over C7, followed by a E minor harmonic scale over the B major chord. sounds good?

  • @rodngarcia

I think the progression might be Em, C7, B7, A

Or even A7, its hard to tell.

That wont affect the scale you use to improv with though.

And I like your idea, I've been trying out some diminished licks over the C7, works nicely because of that 7th in there ha.

  • i love it!! its a wonderfull jam along song

  • there's one way to settle this... how about a guitar battle to this track then you will se what i am taking about! and you can show me your advantage or thinking about what your doing!

  • @YouOriginal Everyone thinks. You're just trying to make this more spiritual than it actually is. To deny your thinking is to deny your conciousness. You can go on pretending that you don't think at all when you play, but you're most certainly wrong, and one day when you grow up you'll realize that without some kind of thought nothing would ever happen. Anyway I'm done deflating your ridiculous pretentions.

  • @Sunderlanding great then owned play it or shut up

  • This is part of my daily routine is there any way i can repay this favor for making me sound so good! like a donate button or can i buy a cd of it!

  • i writing a song with this track should be finished by x-mas i will upload it :D

  • amazing track !

  • so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beatles She's So Heavy.

  • awesome

played till my guitar was begging for mercy

    great track

  • one word.... sweet

  • Love this track But cant seem to download it....? did what it says on the link and no track found is all I got back....?????

  • @crazyfingersJG my take on this lead was very gilmore esc. As well, when I played it for my friends the said it sounded like pinkfloyd meets the 28 days later theme haha said it was a brilliant lead. @poster of vid fuçkìng brilliant backing track, always play to it

  • brilliant... I stopped soloing and just listened to the track... LOL

  • i love this track! thanks for sharing it. it's heart wrenching to solo to!

  • awsome!

  • lots of fun...thanks for the upload

  • whats the chord progression?

i wanna practice my sweeps to this :)

  • @801332 If you can sweep you should be able to figure out a simple chord progression like this. Give it a try and see what you come up with. The ability to hear and recognize chords is more important than any shred technique.

  • @Sunderlanding You're absolutely right, I totally agree with you.

  • @Sunderlanding I have to say no way! I can never understand music no note chord progression whatever I just feel music. If it makes me feel good it can then be only good. I have a friend who was given Steve Vai's guitar, my friend is a music genius but ask him to create and not copy its near impossible. In short creation or originality is easy if you can feel what your playing and not think. You should be saying to your self how the hell did I do that! not oh that was easy! get a rush on..sweat

  • @YouOriginal What the hell are you talking about?

  • @Sunderlanding feel music don't think! heeloooooo

  • @YouOriginal First off you need to do both. Secondly, why did you think I didn't already know that? Lastly, how does that have anything to do with my comment?

  • @Sunderlanding first off you're a Canadian, what the hell happened? all the Canadian's I met are super nice people and can play music with perfection. I am just saying that some people...like me and there are lots more like me who just don't get music at all and if they play what sounds good they create sometimes something unwritten. I don't listen for chord changes I am a part of that song, my soul is lost in it. I never think its going to change here.. we are all different! peace!

  • @YouOriginal That's the biggest load of shit I've ever heard in my life. You're completely naive if you actually believe that garbage. If you didn't think about it at all...nothing would happen! You'd just be a blob that eventually rotted to nothing! Quit trying to make things more dramatic than they are. Yes we all feel the music, but without some kind of thought music would never happen.

  • @Sunderlanding ahh your just a troll get a life I feel music get over it buddy!

  • @Sunderlanding lol I rotted, dude I sure made my money though did you?

  • @801332 Em (E natural minor) C (arpeggiate) B (E harm minor) A (A major) plus hella sevenths/ninths

  • Brilliant man, I hope this is an actual song you or your band does, it should be. I use this back track to play with my blues vocal ranges. Msg me sometime we should collab

  • hey audiomosaic, could u do some more like this or differnt types of jams like spacey, sad, fun, high, lsd, emotianal, love, etc.? it,d b cool man thanx................

  • I think this is my favorite jam track to play to, ever.

  • great track, cheers mate

  • nice track man I found that E harmonic minor also works well.

  • Fantastic track, the 1st string of my el.guitar just snapped into 3 pieces, that alone I think is evidence enough that this song owns.!

  • This is excellent.

  • this the most weird song iv ever heard, but i like it.

  • love this

  • B phygian dominant

  • @Luisrox123 Yes

  • 1 more sub from reddit.

  • badass...i agree with caroll49....my take on this with lead was very floydish (gilmore) keep the good work up...i will post my lead to this very soon......cant wait..THANK YOU

  • @crazyfingersJG I would love to hear your lead on this.

  • good shit : P

  • This is very, very good someone must do the lead for this and post the link. I nominate Mr. David Gilmour. Mr. Gilmour please lets us know when you have this completed.:))

  • @Carroll49 him and John Frusciante would be nice

  • @Carroll49 even better i nominate coulsonsam87, or riffguy xD

  • very good stuff , thank you!!

  • thanks for the sweet jam tracks

  • Check my cover guys, I loved this track and posted a short cover of some improv!

  • I find E minor and B minor harmonic/melodic works pretty well with this, I'm a noob though, any other suggestions?

  • This is really great! I love the chord progression, someone correct me if I've got this wrong:

    e: i VI 7 V 7 IV (7)

As I am an aspiring soloist, can someone tell me if I have this right? The first chord is really open to a lot, the second chord has a B natural which emphasizes a tritone, the third chord has the major third (D#) which leads to e harmonic minor, and the fourth chord has the raised third as well (C#) which leads to e dorian. Is this "right", per se?

  • @ANewAccount43 The second chord doesn't have a B natural it has a Bb. It's a C7 chord (C E G Bb). The chord progression you wrote down is kind of write, but technically a VI chord in the key of E would be a C#, so you'd want to write that chord as a bVI7.

  • @Sunderlanding We both agree actually, I was thinking the key of E minor, in which case the VI7 chord would be a C7 chord, I should have specified that though. Thanks!

  • @ANewAccount43

yeh, sounds about right, what would you play over the 2nd chord?

  • @MerryChristmas1988 E minor blues would work fine because it has that tritone in it (Bb), but you could also use straight up e aeolian or e harmonic minor and add the tritone in yourself.

  • This is a really great track, you can go any place with this, end of the world or what. it`s a bit like a song i wrote last year that i need to finish off with a really good solo, great inspiration, and slow enough for my ageing fingers...Thanks..!

Maybe i will post it when it`s done..

  • this is absolutely brilliant, I loved playing to it, I might record a vid of improvising over it and post it as a video response!

  • melodic but mostly harmonic minor sound good here too! E harmonic minor I mean.

  • this is the best way to perfect scales, by jamming with a track

  • oh yea...good stuff ill do a vid responce when i get home tonight

  • Hey man, just wanted to let you know, that I fucking absolutely love this song. I really think that it is fantastic in every way and I have had some of the best, most satisfying solos of my life to it. Thanks a lot and keep it up.

  • very good

I tried an E natural minor scale to play and it sounded ok

    any other ideas

    thanks for the track

  • @lookylooky2006 haha I just went back to this track to suggest the same thing.

Try an e harmonic minor too, it sounds excellent.

  • thanks

  • ozzy meets floyd! Good stuff

  • Personal favorite. Video response coming soon.

  • this is a awesome backing track and please watch my video response and comment

  • wow i loved that! sounds like something jack white would do. i really liked how it kind of grew in intensity. very jam, props to you sir

  • great track ...it has a lot of room for Gilmourish stuff

  • Wow exellent track mate, E harmonic minor sounds awesome over this a few blues notes too. 5 stars

  • cool stuff doesnt get bigger than this... best stuff

  • reminds me of the beatles...

  • hey man loving the backing track. im having a lot of fun working on my improvising with this.

  • bought VOX 847 wah today, was like so-so but then decided to try it out on this track, my brain gone swimming in itself literally

rating it 5/5 again fk it

  • fuck the backing track turn this into a song!! get some vocals dude im digging the dark bluesy vibe =] i would soo put this on my ipod

  • Loving this Jam. Love how you made such a simple progression sounds so dark and bluesy. Great job and thanks for posting it!

  • try to change pentatonic, diatonic, harmonic and blues scales in E......sounds great

  • hey I want to listen that song! ;D

  • O_O the best backing track ever!!!!! tank you!!

  • This track seems to work very well with chromatic licks, and other kinds of off key playing!

  • I was feelin' some E harmonic minor licks.

  • Thanks for putting this song up. Ive done alot of praying with it, venting, being repentful. Nice sound. Peace....

  • Loved it. Fun to jam to. For those of you who don't know what to do, you can get a nice Em blues going & of course the E natural minor plus a nice harmonic minor. If you understand that you probably don't need the advice anyway.

To the chap who wrote it a BIG thank you for sharing this with us. You can really get a heavy & almost emotional solo going to this. I'll use it to teach scales etc ( I'm a teacher) as well as have fun my self. I really appreciate all you folks that post good stuff.

  • please what tone is this???

    Eminor?

  • Well, I read your comment just before I started the video, and I had a great jam by playing in E minor. So I guess you're right.

  • this is great to play lead along 2

  • well I was curious and I had my guitar in hand...of course...so I hit play and I don't remember what I played but my room mate said it sounded really good.....thanks for the track...I'll try to post a vid reply :)

  • Great Track, love the mood of it ~~~

  • lol,I know man.But wouldnt bother,he thinks he is better than he is.His band is a mess called improv lol.And he cant make a point without cursing and being a fool.Just keep it off page.Ill school him when this trip is over.Sat link works when it want's.I will give you a shout tonight.

  • You don't get it man. This ain't no competition, i was raised on a tropical island and learned the wonders of music high on pot under the sun taking it easy, your philosphy is just different, you seem to thik that the more technical one is, the better he is. Grow out of that man, this is not the 80's anymore.

  • Not at all.I have a very open mind and dont believe there is any such thing as the best. But I wont be told I suck by someone at his level of playing.Just defending myself from other peoples assumptions. And he replied to me after my appology for arguing with someone else.Read all the comments not just a few you will see.

  • all those faggots on this page don't make me really wanna jam to the track anymore..............fck u all, just jam and be happy............i'm pretty sure both of you suck anyway......the kinda nerd that thinks that sweep picking is the king of techniques.............................

  • lol, just read this one.Comment's make you not want to play? And we suck,ha,ha.Just saw your vid's.You have a long way to go before you call yourself a musician guy.Nobody said anything about sweeping, though clearly a technique beyond your capabilities.lol,Don't worry I will have my vids up by the end of the week, and you can come trash it.lol, youtube gatta love it,lol.

  • Im a former classical guitarist, and i experimented with flamenco for few years, my vids with bandmates are pure improves. you are retarded and probably impotent since you like jerking off your guitar's neck so much. I ain't got shit to prove to ppl like you they make me sick. You call your style 'experimental???? you're just copying what's been out there for many many years man. I bet you can't play without a pick ROFLMAO

  • Yor a liar,You have no technique,or phrasing as demonstrated in all your vids.Mind your business, you dont know shit about me,when I get back in I will post a vid specialy for you.lol, don't go around assuming people suck when they been playing longer than youve been alive, lol.Ill bring it count on that, you name it we will play it.Imrove or note for note, whatever you want.

  • Not to jump your shit, but I had alreasy said sorry. And you jump in here like some musical authority and when I see your vids,.Sorry man,but you sound like someone thats been playing 6months Boring stuff and style.Just dont jump other peoples shit you know nothing about when you have got yrs to catch up.Seriously years from what ive seen.

  • Actually,My style is new.We are trying to blend Hip Hop into a metal format. And btw I studied Classical guitar from 85 to 87,and incorporate hybrid,Alternate,Sweeping,Tapping, mirror tapping, flat picking into alot of my music.I wish I had time, but I assure you I will post when I get back in.Sorry for jumping your shit the way I did but you contacted me after I appologized for my childish behavior. And I am appologizing for everything I said to you.Un called for on my part.peace guy

  • You're litterally a fucking idiot. Stop typing text to people who don't give a shit about you or your skill.

  • You mean anymore than you and your amature playing, lol.Lighten up man, life is to short.Dont worry, you will hopefully get better in time.

  • metal and hip hop were blended in the late 80s first with bring the noise by anthrax with public enemy. they have been mixed every since, most prominently in the 90s. if you think you're breaking the boundaries by mixing them you are unfortunately mistaken.

  • Well thanx for the obvious input.I was just defending myself from people that dont know how to mind there own buisiness. And how would you have a clue how my approach is?Ya dont,so MYOB,I dont remember asking your opinion.

  • I hear ya don't mean to be an ass but it was Rock Box by Run-DMC and Eddie Martinez in 1984. Bring the Noise was released in 1987 and in 1991 Public Enemy collaborated with Anthrax.

  • Just so everyone knows Sounderlanding is reffering to Guthrie Govan when he says freezdried elevator shred.lol.Wow he is something special.Idiot,,

  • You must love the Top Gun soundtrack, and probably Kenny G because he plays the same kind of jazz licks as Govan. I can't believe you assholes think that cheesy bullshit jazz playing is actually progressive. Everything he plays is so run of the mill, just four times as fast. Here's how you play like Govan: Take a dixie land lick, and some distortion and echo, play it super fast. Away ya go!

  • Waaa,Waaa,my pussy hurt's,lol thats all I hear from you.Guthrie sucks at this,he sucks at that, stop your fucking crying. And Echo??Try delay..

  • nice!

  • oh damn. this goes down so smoooooth

  • cool track! way to go man

  • same color as my by "hohner" strat :)

  • ooooo

not sure what it is but goosebumps!

    thankyouthankyou

  • Same color as my strat, such a bootiful guitar. Diggin the sound too

  • Seafoam green

    nice

  • hmm started to solo and was sounding like pink floyd :)

  • Its got that kill bill japanese rock type cowboyish sound lol I was looking for something like this.

  • what are the chords in this song?

  • awsome track

    but next put the key

  • very, very cool. Been jamming harmonica on this, a lot of fun.

  • Awesome!

  • reminds me of all tarantino films somehow

  • Pretty cool, the effect reminds me of a part in a Soundgarden song. I love this.

  • Can you put the MP3 out?

This sounds amazing, i'm trying to make a Jam CD with a bunch of backing tracks and I SOO want this. :D

    Very nice.

  • Nice jammable track, thanks man'

  • very cool..thanks

  • wow....all of the minor/major modes work fine on this:

e minor (and e harmonic minor)

    e dorian (pretty neat sound)

e phrygian (nice for some fast shredding)

    G major

    G mixolydian

    G lydian

    pretty nice track!

  • harmonic minor sounds fantastic..

  • I liked it but it makes me hella emo :P

  • Why emo? More like..Soulful.

  • @romanosalvatore Emo is twelve year old for soulful.

  • chord progression anyone?

  • Em, C, B, A

  • damn this is the easiest backing track to be creative on. theres so much stuff you can do on this. you can add insane amounts of reverb or some screaching distortion. im not exhaggerating when i say this but my callouses literally pealed off from all the bends and my fingers turned black and now im bleeding and now it hurts to play

oh well i can play with rubber gloves on

  • true! You can add soo many chromatic notes to the pentatonic scale with this! I've been looking for a source of a new sound, and this track has me playing differently to anything I've ever done and I'm loving it!!!

  • just jammed the fuck outta that. nice one. id say its almost entirely g major (e minor, d mixolydian, whichever you wanna call it)

maybe ill post a reply of me jammin to it

  • DO IT!!! :D haha

  • I use D major and E minor and a lot of improvised notes and it works for me..

  • E minor :) Pentatonic minor goes nice or even harmonic minor? Shreds nicely along to it.

  • nice 1 dude !

  • sweet man

  • dude, i never knew i could improv something that deep sounding thanks to this!

  • To me this track invites two things, experimenting, and all of your heart and soul. I get lost when I play to this. I do weird things like turn delay/echo up and scrape the pick down the strings to make weird noises, stick a slide on for a minute than take it off, turn wah on and flip my pickup selector back and forth. This is my fav.

  • same here!! does strange things to me!! just posted video... been playing bout 2 years and this track brought me on loads!!

  • Great backing track man. Works great with dorian

  • cool backing track, really deep sounding - a bit of pink floyd style... too long, especially the "screaming" last part that makes the lead player give all of his soul and energy to playing - after about 20 bars i almost broke the g string by bending it all the time higher and higher, but after some time it becomes boring, i would cut it in half, just long enough to fit some "screaming" bending passage and some fast runs... but i still loved this.

  • Wow man this is an awesome track, it started out awesome but when it gets heavy it becomes so intense. Thanks, keep 'em coming.

  • Can you crank out another slow blues (or 2 or 3...) and limit them to 4 minutes? Maybe a 12 bar limited to 4 minutes. You have some haunting stuff going on here. The 4 minutes is a good cut off for most playing. Loved this one. You rock.

  • this track is really awesome, nice job. lots of feeling real deep

  • Rock On This was a blast !!!!

  • can i have the mp3 for this please?

  • This is intense in E minor harmonic with a Cry Baby Wah and distortion.

  • The best backing track ever!

  • fffffffffffffffuuuck!!!
