  • Nathaniel Parker is perfect as Master Gracey. <3

  • Did he say master bracy or dracy or something else i must know ASAP!!!

  • ik heb hem gister gezien

  • Ediie Murphy is one of the best actors of all time! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • Lol I liked it, but del toro will probably be better

  • aw this movie used to scare the shit 'outa me

  • ok kids watch this haunted mansion movie, while us hardcore fans of the ride will watch the new one

  • I dont get how it was rated 13% on rotten tomatoes

  • one of my fav childhood movies. I was only 8 then.

  • I thought this movie was really cute so I went to watch it again with my kids and they kept telling me it was boring and told me to shut it off.

  • @haleyteddy03 Kids these days grow up very quick, they are all into these hi-tech gaggets, it is a shame though that they don't appreciate it as much as us adults. I am fundely enough wathing this with my family tonight.

  • I freaking love this movie

  • God I haven't seen this forever

  • This was the BEST Eddie Murphy movie EVER! I am looking for to Del Toro's sequel. I hope it's not to dark.

  • Of course, there's always my way..

  • i love this movie soooo much! it's one of my favoirites. But i guess they're remaking it

  • The mom in this movie is HOT!

  • thumbs up if you still watching this in 2011! XD

  • i have a pronbreln movie and the ride wheres thr hatbox ghost?

  • By the waaaay....they should've gotten a flipping hotter Master Gracey. Ya know, one that actually somewhat resembles the Master Gracey in the aging portrait. =p

  • "DARK SPIRITS? OH NOOOO DARK SPIRITS DONCHU MAKE NO DARK SPIRITS COME OUT!"

  • they are 3 ghosts in this movie one is fat,the other has alot of hair and one looks like a corpse.WHO ARE THEY

  • @Johny2662: Or they prefer to actually BE scared. The Mansion is supposed to be about a tragic love story with cursed ghosts, not some cheesy comedy.

  • @RascistPolarBear: For the same reason the Christmas Holiday overlay exists BEFORE Halloween.

  • Terence Stamp is so epic. <3

  • What is his name, the hotty at 1:05? :P

  • @SpockLover27 That's Nathaniel Parker, who plays Master Edward Gracey. :3

  • @TwilightKeyblade928 oh la la :D

  • @2Numb2Care It's a joke.

You may be wondering why I'm suddenly literate, just look at my profile.

  • @2Numb2Care hay! thats insulting!

    disneyworld has it to!

  • I love the music in this movie.

  • this movie was fun, but could have been a lot better if the humor didn't fall flat on it's face and the creepy atmosphere was played up more.

  • i LOVE those singing head guys!!!

  • i love this movie! but when i was little i watched this, and when the scene were all those skeletons came out when they were trying to get the key i started screaming and crying like crazy :S

  • I read even though this box office was a success, it had a critical rating on rotten tomatoes 13%. They say it wasn't scary nor funny. Eddie Murphy is funny and this is rated PG. It's for kids and the scare is mild. Film critics just piss me off a lot. They don't know shit. Or rather they don't know how to have fun.

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • I think I'm like the only person who loves this film.

  • no don't you make no dark spirits come out! wait till i leave befor dark spirits come out!

  • i love phantom manor too :)

  • EDDI MURPHY THE BEST!

  • As much dung flinging as this film gets -- and I will be the first to say that, as an obsessed HM fan, I was sorely disappointed -- there were many pieces of it that were in themselves very, very good. The set concepts by Nathan Schroeder and the soundtrack by Mark Mancina were absolutely fantastic. While clever and accomplished for the goal they set, the catch was that the story was just not dark, thrilling and mysterious; and that, unfortunately, was what all of us wanted. Cheers to Del Toro.

  • watching it 2night :D EASTER!!!

  • i loved this movie when i was young!! omg!!

  • My brother and I are named Megan and Michael like the boy and girl in this :).

  • funny

  • Apparently del Toro is making another version of this, and according to him it will be much darker and scarier. I hope that's true!

  • @YellowTurtle13 when?

  • @SkittleE275 Not sure, probably not for a couple years.

  • @YellowTurtle13 ok then

  • Comment removed

  • @YellowTurtle13 To bad they won't keep the Nathaniel Parker as Mr Gracey, he was great, Murphy was a bit annoying!

  • @YellowTurtle13 Nice! Any info about that?

  • @YellowTurtle13 FUCK YES! I hope he makes it like Pan's Labryinth :)

  • @YellowTurtle13 this is not supposed to be scary nor dark u idiot

  • @boibo1 Did I say that? I said del Toro's version would be dark and scary. The Murphy version is anything but.

  • This movie stunk! Eddie Murphy was completely wrong for this! No wonder it flopped!

  • They're making a reboot....

  • the singing heads make this movie :D

  • lol i remember this... it was like..........7 years ago i watched it?....... damn i miss this movie i forgot the name of his wife........ but she was pretty and i just saw her in a trailer for another movie and i was like.... wait.... your unmistakable lol.......... she is fabulous

  • the singing heads, gotta love the singing heads

  • we watched this in English and we were like, how the f can this be a PG movie

  • Whats the song used in this ?

  • Awesome trailer

  • Eddy Merphis Smile just, just, its unsubscribeable!

  • If they remake it, they have to use Nathaniel Parker again. He was the only saving grace of this movie. I caught it on television, and within minutes was cheering for Sarah to die and be with him. XD

  • Eddie Murphy is st such a legend :)

  • @JasmineEsMi штопором прогрызло глазные яблоки брызгами заляпаны.

  • @JasmineEsMi so is my pussy :P

  • i used to watch this every night, i forgot about it & how much i loved it :)

  • I like this movie a lot, but if you want to watch something scarier and funnier, watch Dog Soldiers instead. This is a good family movie, but I'm pretty sure that this is one of those movies that you can watch and think to yourself, "Yep. Murphy's career is in the shitter alright."

There was just some annoying shit and elements that didn't add up that worsened it for me.The only part I actually laughed at was

    "You'll kill us all!"

"Well some of us are already dead! HaHa!"

  • Once again, Eddie Murphy stars in a shit film. Eddie's not too far from doing infomercials. So sad.

  • i love the end :)

  • @saddleclub33600 i love it too :)

  • @saddleclub33600 me too, It was funny

  • I love this attraction in Disneyland Paris. I watch this movie in Sunday. Yeah!

  • when I watched this movie I was little :P

  • Saw this movie on a dutch channel called Veronica good movie liked Silent Hill more...

  • i think i watched movie like 5000 times

  • i love the haunted mansion ride at disneyland, the movie was pretty good. eddy murphy is funny in this movie

  • i love the ride version on disney world!

  • Kneel before General Zod!

  • this is one of my favorite movie!

    pliiiiiiiiiiiiiis¡¡¡can you said meee the name?thank youu¡¡¡:D

  • what is the namee of the themees of music in this trailer plis?:)

  • are these the same kid from are we there yet

  • Dad: Hold On!

Crystal Ball: Hold On To What?

    Both: AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

That's Why They Made A Ride About It.

  • @AugustsWorld .. the ride was made first.

  • I just wished this movie would have kept the Victorian vibe and period constant, the opening credits were gorgeous! ...until they reached modern day. :/ I wanted it to be like Pirates of the Caribbean, but unfortunately it didn't have the same caliber or quality as POTC. I'm excited for the new one, I hope it doesn't end up being set in modern day because they have such a good chance to explore the origin of the house and such in a rich Victorian fashion. I can't wait for the Hatbox ghost! xD

  • i know the son in the movie he wet to basketball camp with me.

  • i never got how all the gosts got there

  • i watched half of this movie and it was great and yea it couldnt be that scary b/c when does disney scare the hell out of kids :/

  • what kind of bmw is he driving there!?

  • @Olemwrongway the 7

  • they're remaking this movie, to make it scarier

  • Guillermo Del Toro is making a new Haunted Mansion movie for "Disney Double Dare You" and that it will be a real horror film, that will feature the Hatbox Ghost.

  • @voicebox64 Its not related to "Disney Double Dare You".

  • @lobsterfancy Really? Because I saw it listed as such.

  • would have been*

  • Thumbs up if you think that this movie would have SO MUCH BETTER with Samuel L. Jackson instead of Eddie Murphy. Welcome Foolish Mothafuckas!

  • If this movie was not tied into the ride, I would have liked it more, but because it was tied into the ride it really didn't do anything for me. Only disappointed me.

If you don't believe me that this movie is a poor tribute to the ride, then ride the ride and tell me what they have in common besides the name.

  • thank god they announced today that del toro is remaking this movie. this one sucked! Hopefully del toro will add the bride beheading here fiance's into the storyline.

  • @WiiTbon *her

  • Guillermo del Toro is going to remake "The Haunted Mansion"!

  • @SteampunkCentral I was happy to hear this news today, i guarantee its gonna be a lot better than this one

  • If I had watched this when I was 7, I would have been shitting my pants.

I love this movie, I want my house to be grand like that.

  • Haunted Mansion 2: Escape of the Horrid Humor of the Haunted Mansion 1!

    Now THAT would be scary!

  • i dunno but everytime i see haunted house movies i just think they would be amazing to live in if they where restored and ghost freeloaders removed

  • that old man is just fucking creepy !

  • The zombie scene in this movie is probably the scariest scene in the whole movie!

  • @FigmentsNetwork Yeah, no question about that, those were some kick ass zombies!

  • one of Eddies worst movies

  • hmmm. . .

  • the game was cool

  • message to eddy murphy: you're a genious, but lose the moustach! (do I say it right? My english isn't so good :p)

  • Proof of NUPIAL DOOM being released by Disney, as told by the voice of "Black Widow Bride Constance":

    Part1: youtube . com /watch?v=HYjq2J9EPoQ

    Part2: youtube . com /watch?v=Oor9qCW4Km8

    Part3: youtube . com /watch?v=k20NhjwHz_k

  • @TherealRNO Being released by Disney doesn't mean it was created by Disney or had anything to do with the original attraction. I agree with Gnillob. You need to do some research. NUPTIAL DOOM is a fan-created story that was created YEARS after the ride opened. Are you stating you don't get that? I have a retarded 3 year old brother that understands that. Also, you keep spelling Nuptial wrong which suggests you're not too bright.

  • @Ramubay: One error doesn't account for a person's intelligence. You're assuming that just because I misspelled one word (and have trouble with it), I am not bright. And by calling me not bright, you're also making a mockery of me and my intelligence. I may have a disability, but I am far from being an idiot, so basically categorizing me as something akin to being a simpleton when I am not is vastly judgemental of you.

  • Nat Parker Is EPIC!

  • they are going to make another movie and it will be in 3D.LOL.just kidding! I hope they would

  • eddie & terence stamp always have good chemistry together!

  • I do wish this movie was more serious...but I understand it's disney

  • Like X-men Origins Wolverine - The game is so much better and actually frigthens you, and cause the story had nothing to do with this bullshit.

  • Do they make is on purpose to Eddie Murphy, making crap productions after crap productions him in it?

  • @teemuruskeepaa Eddie murphy is a comic god, leave him alone

  • @ThePokeyPictures I reject your norm.

  • i love this movie

  • OMG...me and ma brother ALWAYS watch it on disney cinemagic wen it cums on!!!!

  • @xxnadinefanxx bad choice of words, heres a hint, dont paraphrase come as cum....

  • @xxnadinefanxx That's nasty.

  • I loved that movie

  • i love the movie,i live in a simular mansion, but mines not haunted or doesnt have a graveyard, but its a mid-evil model and it still spooks me when i walk in ive lived her 3 years!anyways great job on the video

  • it actually only gets good when they start seeing the ghosts

  • Not that I dislike Eddie Murphy but this is well what can I say this movie is awful.

  • I love how the teaser for Pirates of the Caribbean had music from Bram Stoker's Dracula, and THIS trailer has music from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. *lol*

  • this movie is so awesome

  • thts the voice of Nathaniel Parker correct me if am wrong. I think he's good looking i love him. He sounds evil in this flim. I was 11 when this movie came out

  • Everything tht was in the movie well almost was awesome so i would knw what scene each person was in thts what i like about movies

  • this movie was bull shit

  • I was actually, really hoping that this was based off of a book, so I could read more about Edward Gracey and his past. :(

It was an all right film, but I think it could have been made better.

  • This film was ass to mouth SUCKAGE

  • they should make amovie that actuaaly involves the ride I hope they make a phomtom manor movie though It'll be great.but this is not bad though

  • This movie ruined the Haunted Mansion for me. Disney should have just let fans guessing at the storyline instead of having to make it.

  • Just a movie. I don't think it would ruin the ride unless they put an audio-animatronic Eddie Murphy in the ride like they did Johnny Depp in Pirates. The movie had its moments but overall it wasn't the movie it could have been by a long shot. I never considered the ride (or any ride) to be plot-driven. Actually, as far as plots go, I liked the Tower of Terror movie better.

  • @Ramubay: *growls* The Mansion IS plot-driven. Even "Black Widow Bride" Constance recognized the existence of the previous "Beating-Heart Bride" Emily (called Elizabeth in this travesty film). The real, true story of Emily has been told by the voice of Constance, officially released as by Disney as the recording entitled NUPIAL DOOM. Unfortunately with the 2007 refurb came changes, Constance among them, that contradicted the original backstory of the Mansion.

  • @TherealRNO Actually the story creator was Xavier Atencio who also created Primeveal World, Adventure Thru Inner Space and Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland. The whole back-story including Emily was created by fans years after the attraction's opening. This urban legend spread even wider on the internet and the people have added to the story line. I hope this doesn't burst your bubble, but the story consists only of the dialogue and the visuals, the backstory was created by the fans.

  • @Ramubay: Even so, that story was made canon, since it was released officially on record as NUPIAL DOOM (also called "The Story of The Beating-Heart Bride"), as told by Constance. Honestly, since Constance correlates, not with Master Gracey, but with his father, George Gracey, it leads one to think that Constance was George's fiendish wife & Edward Yake's mother who wasn't fond of Emily and thus, replaced her in the attic (even though Emily's heartbeat can still be heard).

  • @TherealRNO By the way, Nuptial Doom is a fan-based tribute related to a fan-based web-site called DoomBuggies using the urban myth. I'm not saying you shouldn't enjoy it, I think what they did is great, and certainly Disney loves the fan attention, but please don't think this was part of the original backstory of the ride or created by Disney. It wasn't.

  • @Ramubay: NUPIAL DOOM was officially released by Disney. It was told by Constance's performer and it was also dubbed "The Story of The Haunted Mansion (Beating-Heart) Bride". It can be heard on YouTube, if you dare.

  • @TherealRNO But it was created by fans and had nothing to do with the creation of the HAUNTED MANSION. And no one at Disney today was even around at the time the attraction was created. You do the those who actually created the attraction a disservice by suggesting otherwise. You are not a very good or honest person. Shame on you.

  • @Ramubay: No one of Disney today was around when anything classic was created, so your point is moot. The point is that the original bride did have a tentative backstory to explain her name as the Beating-Heart Bride & Constance's black widow concept does not flow with Master Gracey's hanged suicide, therefore still making Emily relevant, especially since her heartbeat can still be heard in the attic.

  • @TherealRNO You do realize that just because it was released under the Disney label doesn't mean it was created in house don't you?

  • @Ramubay: But it was created in house, since no mere fan could get the service of Constance's voice actress to narrate the story when she's contracted to Disney as part of the Mansion attraction. The fact that the story was penned by cast members at Disney and was reference repeatedly in recordings and even modern television (House of Mouse episode "House Ghosts") proves that Disney accepted it, even if it wasn't made wholly official.

  • the first time i saw the bulter i jumped out of the seat

  • I like this movie, but I love the video game even more. :)

  • I just saw it today, it was on the family channel. I had to look away most of the time though, I'm such a pussy :( lol

  • I loved this because I LOVE THE RIDE

  • I love the last scene with the singing busts

  • Best Halloween Movie Ever! There Needs To Be A Second Movie To This Wonderful Film!

  • thi movie was awesome! it was funny too! not scary at all, except for the ending partwhen the fire and the butler, but other than that, it was fine! haha ^__^

  • What about the zombies in the crypt?

  • @KamenRider541: That was a nod to Phantom Manor's catacombs, since those zombies do not exist in the actual Disneyland or Disney World Haunted Mansions.

  • this was like the best movie ever! i love the scene with madame leota

  • this is a really great movie i just saw it when i was 10 11 or 12 i dont remember but i remember seeing commercial when i was a kid

  • lol part 2:10

  • lol @ the end xD Commmmminnngg sooooon,

  • the guy who plays master gracy kinda looks like Spencer from iCarly

  • thats not the real story of the haunted mansion because master gracy you know "the ghost host" hes the guy whos hanging from the ceiling and hes suppose to be the groom but at the end the lady whos like "hurry back be sure to bring your death certificate weve been dying to have you" is the dead bride. but the haunted mansion is really basically only based upon the dead and stuff. i heard that the house was shipped from conneticut it was an old ladys originally.

  • This is my take, if they would have kept the same story, everything and changed the Evers family to different actors, the movie would have been better. I don't have avything against eddie murphy, but he gets carried away somtimes. And Sarah Evers, uggg she's like a student in the school play. Accualy, i think the kids would have stayed too, they were pretty good. Does anyone else think Tilly wasn't the right actress for madame leota? Just Wondering.

  • I really liked this movie, it was really cool! And for all those people out there who thought it was a dissapointment, most of you are probably saying that because it didnt scare the living daylights out of you! Not that theres nothing wrong like that, I love scary movies but if u wanna watch something like that go watch Haunted in Connecticut or something! Its NOT supposed to be horror, its comedy. Besides its disney so I'm guessing they couldnt make it that scary, but i love it anyways!!!!

  • The haunted mansion is one of my favirote disney films, i think they should make a sequal.

  • But don't you think it would have been nice if they made The Haunted Mansion as cool as Pirates of the Carribean?

Imagine if they made it dark and gritty, and the main character who moves into the mansion turns into a ghost, his body becomes a host of evil spirits, and he must fight his way into the underworld and retrieve his body back... and save his kin, as well as the souls of the undead... set in a victorian period with swords and primitive guns.
