A) Because the way they went about it was cruel and unnecessary

B) Because they replaced her with a pop singer who wouldn't make it to the second round of the X Factor. She can't sing any of the songs from their best album (Oceanborn) because they are too technical for her. The stuff from later albums she does attempt to sing she ruins with her nasel wailing.

The Evanescence preoccupation is foolish. The album "Wishmaster" from which this song is taken, came out in 2000, while Evanescence's debut "Fallen" came out in 2003. Evanescence is a late-comer to the goth/metal scene: Within Temptation's first full length "Enter" released 1997, Lacuna Coil's "In a Reverie" in 1998, and After Forever's "Prison of Desire" in 2000. As a matter of taste I think all these singers trump Amy Lee in terms of expression, range, power, and live presence.

The singer isn't Tarja it's cover. Listen carefully and you hear something that Tarja never did in singing for example: 0:41 . Tarja has uniqual voice and I'm dissapointed to read that so many people think that Tarja is singing in this good cover.

It just depends on different insights.. don't see why ya' can't like both. They're not the same but they are similar in some ways. Singing styles for one.. both are operatic. Use guitars. Piano's. Eerie voices.. just diff' lyrics and beats. And meanings.

@BewminzAMVs Evanescence is not Operatic. Amy Lee sings more like a jazz/motown/soul singer than an opera singer. She may be able to belt the lyrics out, but it's in a very limited range. Opera singers can belt the notes no matter the area on the clef. Plus, it sounds like she downs a gallon of milk before singing. It seriously sounds like she has crap stuck to her vocal cords. Opera singers tend to avoid milk and creamy things before they sing and drink tons of acidic/citrus things instead.
