@iownudie108 yes you can but they cost more then the normal fixtures and its way more light then you need

@iownudie108 Trust me, go with saltwater if you're going to spend money on Metal Halide. It costs a lot initially, but you have it going, it's pretty cheap to maintain

@iownudie108 It would be great for a hightech setup such as an iwagumi tank or maybe a dutch style tank, stem tank, etc. Otherwise it would be an algae magnet. The shimmer is great but it can look unnatural in a lot of planted setups unless you get the layout just right.

@iownudie108 Metal Halides give off alot of heat, and that intense of a light isn't needed for freshwater unless you have some high wattage plants.

@ReefAdvicer This tank is my sump now. I connected a 40 gallon long and a 55 gallon long back to back with the 33 gallon as a sump lol.
