This is the classic grip (and which i use), AG's is a little different, but the final ring is the same.

One ring on the palm

then the pinky, then a ring

ring-finger, then a ring

middle finger, then a ring

index/pointer finger, then a ring

The last one is held in by the thumb, and pushed against the index/pointer.

Try doing what i explained, reading through it carefully...

You'll see that the thumb is then covering everything, automatically.
