this canon model is pissing me off.....why the fuck are the frames are all jittery and shit. just 60i? no 60p in 1080p???? fuck that, im waiting for 60p or just getting a Pan TM700k which HAS 60p
@kudjo24 Have you even used this camera? The video plays crappy above because of a file format conflict with YouTube. And why would you expect anything above 30p/60i from one of the first AVCHD pro-sumer cameras that retailed for less than $1K when released 2 years ago? This camera even offered a 24Mbps when most others couldn't touch that rate.
@DracoGTO i expect anything above because of the current market perhaps? the more recent TM700 i mentioned does 1080p in 60p...and 24p...and 30p...all beautiful progressive modes that im not seeing from this model, no offense, but there ARE better cameras out there, that WONT break you either. the TM700 is $650 used, and it's just a "pea-shooter" as some ppl have referred.
@kudjo24 But you're not making an apples to apples comparison... The HF11 came out 2 years ago in 08/2008 and the TM700 has hardly been out for more than a few months. You mention the market but not the fact that the semiconductor industry moves incredibly fast these days. According to Moore's Law, we've already seen a full cycle go by between the time each of these two camcorders were released... this means that technology had theoretically enough time to double (referring to transistor count).
This is the third video from this camera I've watched on youtube and the sound is horrible. What's the deal? It's like "brrrp....brrp....brrrrp....brrrp..."
the ending looks like something out of a music video, truly an amazing camera, I've included your video in my playlist of quality tests (I have this exact camera too, and I LOVE it!) Your video is also the playlists cover... idk when, but I changed the cover of the playlist to your video, but when I search "canon vixia hf11" and my playlist is near the top, it still shows my dog... lol
No, like I said it was direct from my camera. I literally copied the file to my PC and uploaded it with no alterations or adjustments. The VIXIA HF11 is just that good.
As long as you kept the resolution the same, the quality would be identical since it's all digital. The .m2ts would most likely need to be converted depending on the software in order to add audio. From what I've been reading, a lot of people are converting the 1080i @ 60fps to 1080p @ 30fps. I am guessing this provides slightly better clarity but as you can see it's already amazing at 1080i/60fps.

Not in this clip... in fact I don't even own one. That's just normal out of the box microphone you're hearing.

Great Video! How long did it take to upload on youtube? I just ordered a canon vixia hf11 as well and I can't wait to shoot with it!

Well I have a pretty fast connection but it did take a while. The file size was around 800MB since it was raw.
DracoGTO 2 years ago
did you edit this or did you do it raw
if you did what software
Branman1994 2 years ago
This was a direct raw rip from my camera... as you can see the file extension is m2ts (VIXIA's raw data file).
DracoGTO 2 years ago
cool what software did you use to convert this or did you use any software?

wow nice
do you think it will keep its quality if you wanted add audio or edit it in any way? will the .m2ts dissapear if you go through software
