  • There's just something about the start of this piece and the piano that is just amazing. The slow build and progression towards the crescendo is mesmerizing.

  • This soundtrack is the only good thing about this horrible movie.

  • brilliant soundtrack! reminds me of les fragments de la nuit, french guys making neoclassical music...highly recommended =)

  • dude this movie is awful, but this track is worth

  • @Ryguy4738 Well said. James Newton Howard is a genious, and quite underrated I'd say.

  • the film was pretty bad, even though it had some ideas.

But it was bad in a good way, like an unintentional comedy.

The Music was amazing though, which makes it so frustrating that such a beautiful piece is wasted.

  • Opening piano part sounds a lot like Ligeti's Etude No. 15.

    watch?v=pbtO-NCSA14

  • try writing an apocalyptic story with this song, it makes it more epic and real

I love this song and the movie is one of my all-time favs =D

  • This is what i kinda sought...

after the readin a few between the lines....

the part where the lady was speakin, on the news..

    and said something about

"rumors are, that the government are playing a role in the tradegy

but the white house declined the question and didnt reply"

i see a few comments saying "chemo trails" the chemicals thats in the air?

    idk...

  • 3:53

  • This is definitely up with my favourite soundtracks, very powerful

  • PEOPLE should watch the movie AGAIN, it has a STRONG message.

  • @TheBENGALHANNIBAL THANK YOU.. IVE BEEN SAYING THAT FOR LIKE THE LAST FEW OST VIDS...

    THIS MOVIE IS SUPERB....

i just just got done watching it.. especially

after the "birds & the fishes"

  • @TheBENGALHANNIBAL Too bad the film itself is poorly acted, written, and composed.

  • all of shyamalans movies have great soundtracks, james newton howard always works hard to enhance the films. and he put alot of emotion into this score. and the plot of this movie was probably conceived in about 2 mins. i'd be pretty upset if i worked to score such a shitty movie. but then again he's getting paid.

  • This song remember me a little bit of the hole Album " Vespertine" from Björk....

  • Why is the movie so bad? Waste of a brilliant score.

  • I really love this music!!!!!

  • It is something very common, at least in the Howard-Shyamalan soundtracks the use of the piano and soloist instruments. The Village, Lady in the water and this one have all the exact same use of the piano.

  • good song

  • wie heißt der song bei 0:29 ???

  • 5:13 so cool... i love the movie and the music *o*

  • The music from 4 mins onward reminds me slightly of jaws which puts a smile on my face because i loved the soundtracks of the 70's and 80's. But James Newton Howard is easily my 2nd favourite composer after Howard Shore. I absolutely love his soundtrack from King Kong, The 2 new Batman Films, I am Legend and Defiance, complete genious!

  • 2:33 is the best! JNH 4eva!!!

  • underrated score and film

  • @majin2912 underrated score, not so much the film. at all.

  • This is amazing, why this movie?

  • man oh man!!! when the cello comes in at 1:43 it sends chills down my spine everytime....and i remember the scene where that exact piece comes in, where the french dude looks at how everyone just stopped walking....(indicating that it's "happening" again)

  • dude, I know EXACTLY what you mean.

this piece always makes me think of impending disaster. It's not there yet, but it's coming.

  • @eddieyyy3 lol ending i was like "oh shit....here we go again!"

  • The cello solo is so beautiful.... I like it!!!!

  • It's powerful sadness at the same time, James did a Great job on this Motion

  • I love the movie and I love the music too*-* **my best**

  • does anybody know where i can get the sheet music for this? its so pretty and i want to learn how to play it on the piano

  • i thing there must be violin in it too ...

  • I didn't get to see the movie what was making the people die?

  • plants, its a force of nature

  • it was also some type of chemical

  • that the plants created

  • from the plants... / trees.../nature ...

  • everybody in real would think, this was a chemical attack by terrorists lol

  • i love the 2:34 part when the piano comes in thats my favorite part ^^

  • I love how that beating sound cuts out at 2:07 and the cellos are left alone to play for about 10 or so seconds, it sounds like bach.

  • I love how the music picks up at 3:50. :]] JNH is a genious. :]

  • wonderful soundtrack

  • thanks.....just thanks =)
