@kevlar1er I am glad that I wasn't the only one who acknowledged this. I fully respect the pros for their craft and meticulous mindset for making the most out of their work (via light skinned flesh), though It kind of urks me that this is the case. I hope that maybe there will be someone who will develop ink that'll transfer to darker skin just as brillantly as the modern inks that are used now for lighter skin. If anything, maybe that 'someone' should be myself. Hope springs eternal..
I know clients choose artists for their talents, but do tattooists choose their clients as well..? It seems the most representational work shown to the public eye are clients with the palest, transluscent skin it seems...I know color shows best on the very fair skin, yet I've never really seen much dark complected skin that's represented. One artist I've noticed this with is Mike Devries.
yeah i cant remember man....i think this one may have been 6 or 7 hours? it all kind of blurred together....the other side was nik and brad bako.......maybe 3 or 4 hours....fast and brutal but souble the work in half the time hey! and yes....i dig it...very lucky indeed..
how long did you sit for in all, and you also got the other side of your leg done to correct? And when i saw him go for your Achilles tendon i got a sympathy pain for you, thats been one of the most painfull spots for me. damn man i would love to be sporting your current ink haha
