@irsever your completely right, as computer geek and music freak, ive experimentend with tons of different things, and have made my own music at a time, the pitch and frequency was altered, but you can still get a more femal vocal.

@irsever Please listen again..The instruments don't sound wrong at all. There's a difference of piano pitch between the female and male versions. It's how it is supposed to sound harmonically speaking to match the down-toned voice. My personal opinion.

@Andreeblue Seconded! That's exactly what's going on here. Plus the times when they pause in the song to breathe (if you compare the two) are different in some cases. So no computerized "pitch" effect has been used to lower Ikue Asazaki-sama's voice. This is just a man singing the same song.

Personally, I think Asazaki's version is raw and beautiful. I like it best & think that I always will. Just my preference though. For some who are not used to it, this is a good starter. It's lower.

@TurboBabyPuncher How can a lowered piano pitch cause differences in the timing & enunciation of the lyrics? The lowered piano pitch suits the lowered pitch of the song. That's music 101. Do you know how bad it would sound with a high piano and low pitch voice?

T__T this sounds so beautiful! I love both versions~ :3 I like the traditional Japanese music, especially ones from Okinawa..they do that um..I think it's called kobatsu maybe (the extra strong vibrato they do with their voices) it's such a beautiful thing
