  • Whats the most dangerous thing in America?

    Nigga with a library card

  • I love that little chuckle he drops at the end, like he understands the irony of his own character.

  • Brother Mouzone is by far the most fascinating character on the wire

  • For all you David Simon fans, Lamar is played by DeAndre McCullough, one of the main focuses of Simon and Ed Burns' book, The Corner, later adapted into an HBO mini-series. His mom, Fran Boyd, another main character in the book, plays the nurse who tests Bubbles for HIV/AIDS in S5 too.

  • Actually, ignorance is more dangerous... Mouzone KNOWS that...

  • @tommyt1971 Exactly the answer I thought of when he asked that question. "ignorance".

But now I know why I never got messed with in school, I kept my library card.

  • No surprise, Harper's is tops! Surprised he doesn';t mention new yorker though

  • This Character leaves so many questions that's what makes it so dope...Who and the Fuck is Lamar? His Valet? Body Guard? Apprentice? Man this show was incredible

  • ...think about it!

  • I wonder whatever happened to Mouzone's other associate that we see in this scene. He never appears again on the show.

  • hell yeah, that was deeper this rain building up.

  • I threw out my library card so I'm less of a danger to my community

  • @LeBronForTheWin looool

  • @LeBronForTheWin GO GET ANOTHER ASA FUCKIN P BROSKI!

  • Yeah man, nigga with a library card can do some damage, LOL

  • sounds like a paul mooney line

  • Yes i'm dangerous

  • MESSAGE!

  • @tahthedon for real.

  • My favorite line in my favorite show!

  • Sam & Dave A Place Nobody Can Find(circa 1965)

  • @daveibukun although I have heard that Brother has lively discussions with Christopher Hitchens at VF parties

  • @dfgreen14 Yes, I believe the Brother tries to convince Hitch in the existence of a higher being. Hitch only responds by baiting Brother about Islamo-fascism in the Nation of Islam.

  • @Izzylsou Too many Jackie O articles for Brother's taste.

  • @dfgreen14 ahahhahahaha. I agree.

  • Fuckin' Lamar man, every week Brother says the same shit and every week Lamar forgets half of what he says

  • What, no Vanity Fair?

  • @IzzyIsou New Yorker is better anyways...

  • @schmib06 Agreed.

  • Dammit Lamar.

  • I just realized Lamar's the dude who the main character was based off of on The Corner.

  • @NicolasYates yeah D'andre McCullough, thats him

  • My mom saw this scene on one of her political blogs and loved it. Hasn't seen the show though.

The line "Brother Mouzone Wants His Harper's" alone made me laugh before I clicked it. I think Brother and Lamar were one of my favorite duos on the show, they somehow remind me of Pinky and the Brain.

  • Good to see DeAndre McCullough portraying Lamar.

  • i absolutely LOVE that quote "You know what the most dangerous thing in America is, right? Nigger with a library card." because its a very very true statement. knowledge is power, knowledge can make you a very dangerous person as well.

  • @donnylorenzo I'm a librarian and this line always make me proud of my work and what we provide.

  • @MissMopTop lol

  • As a library card, I can attest to this.

  • @gremlin05 and as a nigga, you can also

  • Obama had his library card..

    Mouzon 2016

  • @beepo6 Yep...and used it!

  • He should subscribe. It's cheaper and you don't miss issues.

  • @PatrickSymmes If he had a fixed address he would, but I'm sure he's on the move a lot.

  • Hahah i love this guy, so professional.

  • Bean Pie my brotha?

  • How Lamar gonna forget The Nation magazine? I would think that would be the first one he grab being with Brother Mouzone.

  • Points to Mouzone for being a liberal.

  • @blankportraits he's a black muslim hired hitman from New York city. What the fuck else would he be?

  • @blankportraits he's a black muslim hired hitman from New York city. What the fuck else would he be?

  • @FlyingVdizzle NONSENSE! The man is an ex substitute teacher from Queens NYC who got fed up with the low pay and long hours.

  • Library card line is true

  • Harper's Magazine is amazing...it will make you dangerous. I subscribe.

  • Brother Mo was the shit! Everybody was scared of that dude!

  • Reminds me of Paul Mooney's response to Stephen King: "I got a scary book for you, Stephen: Nigga With a Brain."

  • What generally does Mouzone mean by that? There are many inferences that can be drawn from that line.

  • the dude in the comments who presumed harper's was some sort of negro publication is funnier than the clip

  • lol

  • Somebody just get him his HARPER'S

  • It's hilarious how annoyed they look when he drops the library card line, like he already told that one a hundred times.

  • I love Harper's. It's way better than New Yorker. The Atlantic has really slipped. The Nation is good but a little Inconsistent.

  • THE ILLEST LINE EVER ..

  • Nigger with a librery card. Dam lol

  • it would make you sound smarter if you could spell Library, nigger. and Damn lol

  • Well done....

  • It's what I do best. I am a Nigger with a library card.

  • it a magazine harpers weekly like to the economist mostly read for information and not entertainment..

  • The man wants his Harper's

  • BROTHER

  • LOL
