  • My chefs in culinary school would yell at anyone they caught using a dry measuring cup to measure liquids.. so I have to admit, I cringed when I saw you measure the heavy cream.. but thanks for the recipe. I've neve

  • @Harusama *I've never made Ganache before so here's to hoping it goes well!

    [whoops, premature post]

  • @Harusama I know, I learned the proper way in culinary school too, but sometimes in your home kitchen you just gotta use whats clean and that day my volume measuring cup was dirty..LOL..check out my bloopers I had a blonde moment on what to call it..LOL...But I do have so say good call on calling me out on it..most kidos are just learning so sometimes I try to make it a little easier for everyone and just try to have fun baking!! xoxo

  • @lovelyladycakes what cake would be best

  • What will happen if i substitute the heavy cream with normal whipping cream? Reply plz ;)

  • @bionicle38 go ahead, they pretty much are the same thing full of rich creamy fatty milk..hehe, xoxo

  • now i remember why i subscribed. looks delicious!

  • yours ChoCo Cakes make my day YUMMY

  • can i use milk chocolate instead..

and can i use chocolate ganche under fondant instead of buttercream

    PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER URGENT

  • @POSTALIFE milk chocolate has different fat solids than bittersweet so it might turn out clumpy or not as smooth,as for under fondant. I don't use it enough to experiment with it if it would work. I know in-between the cake layers would be good..good luck, xoox

  • @lovelyladycakes What's the role of the Rum in this?

  • @ImLDSRU2 it gives the chocolate that nice shinny look..you won't get drunk i promise..you can leave it out if you like...xoxo

  • I HAVE A QUESTION ! Uhm, can i use mini semi sweet chocolate chips for this, or Almond Bark ?

  • @littleabigail123 most recipes call for bittersweet, I think the solids in the simi-sweet don't make it shinny and glossy...as for almond Bark I have never used it, but you can always try...good luck testing it out, xoxo

  • ladycakes your one funny person

  • do we have to use rum?

  • @aida99121 nope it just gives it that shinny look..xoxo

  • hi there can you tell me is that butter cream on the cake aswell and you poured the chocolate over it

  • @TheBoldman1 yes, I always try to pre ice so no crumbs with poke through. xoxo Thanks for watching!! xoxo

  • this song sounds so familiar...

  • How did you get the extra chocolate off the bottom?

  • @ahsookie1 I forgot to show that part, but i have the cake sitting on a cardboard and used a serrated knife and cut as close to the cake then on a clean round cardboard transferred to that...

  • Seemed a little thick and lumpy, more cream? more heat?

  • @vetdetta if the ganache is lumpy you might try using a dark chocolate or swiss, you can't use simi sweet ...good luck..xoxo

  • Heavy on the personality light on the helpful instruction like measurments, time...etc

  • OMG. That looks so good.

  • HI again, How much can this chocolate ganache cover at one time?

  • @hardworker1998 just enough for a 6" round for this recipe..good luck and have fun!! xoxo

  • Must we crumb coat the cake before pouring the ganache? or can we just pour the ganache straight on the cake? We can use it as filling in betweeen layers of cake too right?

  • @hardworker1998 I like to cream coat so it leaves a nice clean finish, but you don't have to...and yes it is great for fillings or top cupcakes...thanks for watching..xoxo

  • 'Scuse my lack of verbal art,

But cakey cooking makes a lady fart.

Even little, lady-like breaks of wind,

    Is like having terribly sinned,

(If you're a pretty pink lady.)

But for a lady sleazy and shady,

    No-one would care,

As only lovely lady farts are rare.

  • Is the Alcohol necessary?

  • @justanotheruser28 not necessary

  • Love the enthusiasm and the teaching...my one complaint....can you please use a tripod next time you talk into the camera? Motion sickness.

  • Can i use that with white chocolate chips..?

  • @littleabigail123 i think I tried it once and it didn't turn out..try it though?

  • @lovelyladycakes Does white chocolate hav a differen't consitancy ? But can i just use melted white chocolate chips to dip my cake pops.

  • @littleabigail123 totally you can use the white choc chips to dip the cake pops in...
