it's a single bought used and lengthened to accommodate the TI. It's the distance between the cradles and placement of the axle and that's in question. Thanks for your reply.
how long is your trailer? how far back are the wheels placed? How much kayak is hanging out behind the trailer?
I ask because I pick up my Tandem Island and am reworking a trailx trailer (getting last parts tomorrow via UPS). I spliced two 8' pieces together and currently placed axel 3' from back and spaced cradles 7 feet apart leaving about 4 feel hanging out behind end of trailer.
@kengound did you order this trailer from a Hobie Dealer? or did you buy it direct. Also, is this a single trailer or a double, as this will make a difference on specs.
@FastlaneSC I bought it used from an individual and it's a single. It's now 16' long. I've moved my cradles to 78" but at some point will move them to the 67" Hobie recommends. The trailer manufacturer is Trailex. I also replaced the wiring and lights with LEDs. I have a bow support and a roller in the rear to help put TI back on trailer. With all equipment on board it's quite heavy for one person. Then there's the Hobie Tandem Island boat cover which is specific to this craft and fits nicely
show a video of that rig in a strong wind, all loaded up, that would be awesome
