So I'm guessing that UA fans jumped on the bandwagon a few years ago when they were playing well and now the cats fans don't care because they know they have sucked lately......Or is it because of the fact that UA hasn't made it further than ASU in regionals lately? Or is it because UA has been losing to ASU lately?

ASU has won more times in the last 50 years and UA has been sucking ASU's dick since then.

You'll notice that most of UA's wins in the rivalry were over Tempe Normal and Arizona State College (which were teacher's colleges back then). UA having to beat a teacher's college to have the overall series lead just shows how lame UA really is. Notice how ever since ASU became an official university, (which was 1958), ASU is 29-22-1 vs. UA since then! ASU also has 3 undefeated seasons!

Who are the losers? assu is in a major metropolitan area, that receives the favoritism of the state funding. And, you still suck. UofA is in "dirty little Tucson" and we still have a nation championship, in a major revenue sport. Our football team is on par, and as of lately better, than yours. NASA is trusting UofA a second time to lead a space mission--so comparing schools is out of the question. You still are a teachers college. haha! should we not count it now? assu jc =fail.

While UA is celebrating about their basketball title, ASU baseball has 5 national titles while UA baseball has 3. Football, basketball, and baseball are the 3 major sports in America. Not only does ASU have more national titles in the major sports, but in addition to that, ASU still wins 2 out of 3 in the major sports most of the time.

ASU and UA both finished with the same conference record, ASU beat UA, and UA made it to a bowl, but is hardly worth celebrating about since you guys got spanked on national t.v.! I'd rather not go to a bowl instead of being in UA's situation and getting spanked on national t.v.! Your "UA better lately" argument fails since UA lost to ASU last year......

Baseball doesn't count. Never has. I don't even count that for UofA. And, yes, we did get embarrassed in our last bowl appearance. Kind of like asu did in their last bowl game... did you forget that one? And you don't win more times in football! We just beat you two years in a row, and lost this year on a fluke botched kick. It is a split it football. Basketball doesn't even count, because, we don't even count asu as a rival in B-ball--UCLA is.

@boatwright343, So by your logic, If the 2010 game was fluke, then that means the 2009 game in Tempe was a fluke as well.......UA got a lucky 20-yard field goal kick to win the game only because ASU fumbled the ball on their own 20 yard line. The basketball rivalry doesn't count? The last I checked, ASU and UA are still rivals no matter what sport it is!

@boatwright343, Both ASU and UA have done great things in academics, but you sound like an idiot when you think that UA combined with NASA is the only thing that matters in academics. Both schools have their stronger and weaker points in subjects........sure UA does well with NASA and medical.......ASU does well with engineering and law school........the list goes on.....etc. Lol, ASU is still a teacher's college? The last I checked, ASU has been a university sine 1958! Go Devils!

And how?Well,one of the criteria for ranking schools is employment statistics 9 months after graduation. Well, asu had an unbelievable placement.This jumped them dramatically.
