  • Ridiculous commentry on such a topic.. like for fuck sake.. 'oh u need to be baptised, repent erghh , ergg , you dont have to actually read the bible .. erghhh .. ten commandments, umm god, umm bile, umm ARE YOU SERIOUS and its incarnated, meaning to embody in flesh.. not incarnet or whatever you said ?? And base line, yes religion is the enslavement of man.. Fuck your videos Tonya Tokyo Drift.. don't worry I won't watch or comment anymore I feel like I've lost valuable time

  • the FUCKED UP people years ago that made up jesus for future humanity , he/she , they were some smart individuals because they're story made it sooo far with this make believe white guy with long hair with powers lol the bible should be in the fiction section at the library.. for generations these evil people had a plan to dominate humanity nd control the world, started with war nd slavery!! its actually like the Family plan to as the years go on, carry out there job to Dominate NWO . Illuminati

  • @TyeDye07 yessss!!!!!!!!!! im am not the only one that thinks religion was created by the illumnati and that religion is a weapon that is used to control your mind i love you so much the only thing that matters is your inner self and your inner god

  • People give Africa too much credit. Those ancestors that you guys talk about that resided in Africa weren't nearly as advanced in their ideas and the human race was when all the dispersion was done. So all the ties to African cultures that Pan-Africans may draw are actually quite invalid. World cultures may not be totally unrelated. In fact they certainly are not, but you can give Africa credit for every thing just because you're insecure about the continents contribution to the modern day.

  • Where dose Jesus say "don't pray to me pray to God"?

  • 'They' processed a way of life & re-branded it as religion.

  • religion and spirituality is all crap

  • Jesus Power †

  • I like your bulbs

  • For me still a theory concerning to all religions came from Africa. And in some way, if that is the truth. I don't consider other religions as "perversions." Only the concept of God change, because human being is in constant evolution.

  • Can religion live without spirituality?

That answer is rather easy, the answer is yes, Atheism.

  • All religion has its roots in African spirituality. All religion is a perversion of African spirituality. Only you can save yourself (not Jesus). Worship only that which is within not some external God(Allah). I am God , I am that which is to be worshiped. I am a fragment of God & so is everyone else. So when i see u I am seeing me.

The word God only means to "call" or to "invoke". So what are u calling expect yourself? You are calling yourself out, so u can get to God/universal consciousness

  • atheists arent spritual theyre scientific..people who are spiritual believe in a higher power

  • All science came from African spirituality as well, so no matter where you wanna take it from, you are still dealing with African spirituality. From Math 2 biology 2 astronomy and astrology. You can't run away from it, its the root of all humanity's understanding.

  • They maintain there personal beliefs, but also living a life of service, fighting for peace and justice for all with no exclusion of religion or beliefs.

  • @modogray-but african spirituality knows science comes from a higher power..atheists stop at science..its good to know science but u need to go to the creator of the universe as well

  • About more religious can makes U more spiritual is how U can trascendent from mere and external rituals and things to understand in which way it is important to you and your soul and people that surround U. It what we call "true conversion." Like in the lives of a lot of holy people in history with a spiritual capacity to trascend culture and believes for the sake of God. Awareness of an Universal Love, Tolerance. So, if someone feels to be under a religion. There is hope for everybody

  • That is right...christianity had a fusion from ancient religions as judaism. So we need to look really back if we want to have a full view....You're a great host. Not easy to handle people. I know. Thanks for sharing.

  • Very important vids, 2012 revolutionary paradigm shift and 2011 solar flares on my channel.

  • I dono why the hell we are fighting among ourselves! I jus wana share something wif u ppl...

Different religions have different kinds of believes..but all Religions believes

in the term God and this God is basically Faith/super natural power which we

have never really seen before...And now I dont understand why we ppl struggling

to accept the fact that all religion is just one.

  • You are totally right...

Christianity, Islam and Judaism are all monotheistic religions.

Yet they all seem to say that the other worship the "wrong" God...

If there is only one God and God is everywhere in everything, then whatever you worship, you are worshipping the same thing.

And if you still think there is a "wrong" God, you are not a monotheist and therefore not a true Christian, Jew, Muslim, whatever.

  • Exactly! I'm a Hindu, and I heard debates on why hindus do not have a fix god and why do we pray to everything like from SUN to the statue. We believe god is in everything, the power of the sun gives light to us, so we thank it by praying to it...And as hindu's we believe in family/unity, so we give picture and family to them. but none of us has seen "GOD".. its something which needs to be spiritually felt.. hope this world becomes a better place and we all would live in unity...

  • Lol, if I had to "pick sides", I would have to call myself Hindu too. Everyone in the world is a Hindu, they just don't know it :)

  • Well said=)

  • I don't understand why people feel the need to "worship" something.

  • Neither do I!

However, I also do not understand why you would tell people that you don't understand the need to "worship" something!

  • lol. Well, I was raised christian,. Went to a christian school and went to church on sundays. People would sing songs claiming to "worship" god. I never cared. And I never sang or clapped or any of that. lol. I didn't get it. Guess I was out of the loop!

  • I'm surprised no one brought up the idea that the god in the Bible (especially Old Testament) is a god and not God (or Creator or love being or whatever). Meaning, that that person in the bible is ego crazed and needs worshipers.

Please pick it up. Someone needs to talk about the alien-esque activity in almost every religion.

  • i think the third one is being "born again."

  • There are so many religions in the world today because so many people are followers of men. If you closely examine what is being taught in the churches nowadays, you'll find that what they teach has no real solid foundation in the Bible. That is why the world is FILLED with religion and yet still going down hill (with its wars, crime, racial prejudicy and strife,etc.).

  • How can spirituality exist without religion? Where does the spirit come from?

  • You raised some very good questions. I do believe that there is true religion and false. Thus, some religions can be devoid of real spirituality (examples would be the ones that are now extinct because of being too depraved,,the religion of the Canaanites (they used to burn babies alive!)). People felt the need to get away from outright bad religion.

Spirit would have to come from a Supreme Spiritual Being. Most of the religions in the world are based on the human study of nature.

  • In contrast, the Truth is REVEALED to mankind thru the Scriptures. That is the Bible's claim. This makes it worthy of our examination,,to see if it is so. There was a time when people were burned at the stake for trying to understand the Bible.

The clergy maintained that it was only meant for the learned class. But such a view is not in harmony with what the Bible teaches (notice 1 Timothy 2:4; John 17:3).

  • Exactly

  • I don't understand how anyone can be spiritual without religion.

  • I thought the same thing when I was maybe 19 or 20, but now at the age of 25, I completely understand. They are actually very different. I am spiritual not religious. Being religious is almost following a rule book. Some people follow their religious principals, but they are not spiritual.

  • A person can be spiritual without doctrine because we are spiritual beings and we must tap into it.

  • Tonya, a follow-up discussion to this could be "Is there such a thing as absolute truth?" Because if one religion teaches that we'll either die or go to heaven, and another teaches that we'll be re-incarnated instead--which teaching is right? To date, no one has ventured from Heaven or Hell to tell us, nor has anyone shared with us reliable recollections of a past life (except of course in the movies!).

  • Yes... but how would we come to a resolution on this topic? Everything would be based on opinion.

    -Tko

  • When making statements ask yourself "Why is that true?" Then point to evidence to support important points. I like to use the Bible as an authoritative source. Outside of the Scriptures, I like to point to History and Real Science, showing how these harmonize with what is stated in God's word. I don't just rely on assertions, rather, I like to show how the Scriptures agree with facts that we can relate to.

  • As an example of how practical the Scriptures can be, let's consider the advice given to husbands at Ephesians 6:28,29 where it says "husbands ought to be loving their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself, for no man ever hated his own flesh; but he feeds and cherishes it, as the Christ also does the congregation."

  • This is sound advice even in our day. Because no NORMAL man would mistreat his own body, rather, he'll take good care of it. Following this principle will help husbands to avoid striking out against their mates, whether it is with literal physical blows or words that hurt.

We cannot evaluate Religion and Spirituality without considering the Ultimate Spiritual Being, God, not to mention His letter to Man, the Bible. Otherwise, the discussion will remain on a superficial plane. Dig deep!

  • Oh one more thing! Christianity is a Faith based Spiritual experience. Man made it a religious one. The Holy Spirit is a major part of Christian belief if u r Christian and u don't blieve in the Holy Spirit then u aint Christian period.

  • ..So much hate and distrust Man has failed God not the otherway around. hearing the commentary it's so obvious so many ppl don't really know much about Jesus or God or even Christianity. Jesus nor God were made up but so many rituals about them have been that they have marred and diluted His true message. I agree with LatinSoulLady we need more of this! Gracias Tonya!

PS Mary and John (not the Baptist, the other John) preached Jesus' teachings!

    Mucho Lovin' - ElJuano

  • Oh my goodness Serious?? I need to correct that, thank you. When I was in the middle east learning about Christianity I went to the church of John The Baptist... When I got to Ephesus I learned Mary and John went out teaching the word I THOUGHT it was John the Baptist that went out. I have to look back into this Thank you

    -Tko

  • I can't speak for all "Christians" cause like u said there r so many demonitations who can keep count, but I will say this I'm not doggin' any1 but I will say this 2 Christians very few exemplify what Jesus demanded of all his followers. Between the Rape and Child molestation charges, the homosexuality between Pastors and Priests alike, the shameful behavior taken by the Catholic Church hiding the abusers and the money scandals by these mega Church Pastors, it's no wonder we r the targets of...

  • I see you got some thumbs down, but I too believe that all Christians should follow the model of WWJD

    -Tko

  • Having said that God wasn't responsible for the oppression of so many African slaves bigotry was man made hate. God played a tremendous part in the Civil Rights. Not Allah or Buddha. Voodoo and santeria r cousin religions that call to spirits not a God but spirits of dead ppl. there is no redeeming or saving practice in either religion and both mainly deal with healing and fighting "evil" spirits. Basically u r calling spirits to battle other spirits and hoping that they will listen 2 u...Hmmm?

  • Hey all!! I missed the show DANGIT!!!but I caught the vid here. B4 there was a MASA here in the USA the Masa was the Egyptians who pretty much did what the early American white slave owners did which was opress the slave population. Even then the Hebrews called on their God Jehovah to free them, He sent Moses. The American version the same slave owners taught the slaves themselves the Bible albeit the "Masa" version of it but still even through the struggles they fought and won many battles.

  • Think about it though, if we're in a religion that we don't think is the only way to the Truth we shouldn't be in it. What if Christ thought that ALL religions led to the same place? He wouldn't have commissioned his disciples to go preach to people of all nations. Even back then, people had their own religion. Shouldn't God be a God of All Mankind? And shouldn't He set the standard for what is true? In the case of real 1st Century Christians, birth did not determine their Faith.

  • Accurate knowledge of the Truth did. Right knowledge will help an honest-hearted person obey God from the heart. Faith goes hand in hand with the knowledge from above. How else will we know how to please our Creator? Bible reading is so important if a person wants to find out what the Truth really is. Don't rely on the Churches to teach us the Truth. The book of Revelation condemns the world religions. It's messages are so stinging that some clergymen can't believe that it's a part of the Bible.

  • Thanks for your input Mega...

Although very well spoken, a lot of your message is based on speculation.

    -Tko

  • Not really. None of the things I say are untested theories. You are invited to TEST them out and prove to yourself their truthfulness. We all have access to #1. A Bible. #2. An Encyclopeadia. #3. History Books. #4. Peoples' True-to-Life Experiences. And don't forget #5. Reasoning ability as intelligent humans.

My encouraging words are simply READ THE BIBLE. If somebody made the claim that it is God's way of introducing himself to us, shouldn't we wanna check it out?

  • The bible was written re-writte, translated and re-translated by Man.

How is there any way to PROVE there is only ONE "True God?"

All of this stuff is speculation

    -Tko

  • Have you tested YOUR theory out? Tonya, have you at least read the whole Bible, before making this statement? How many books make up the Bible? How many pen men were used? What are the ORIGINAL languages of the Bible? The people who make such claims are usually those who haven't read it, or the ones who fear REAL change. Everything outside of the Bible, in my opinion, is SPECULATION. A challenge to all those who would say otherwise: What other sacred book or persuasion contains TRUE PROPHECY?

  • Mega... Why so Angry?

I have read the bible Each Chapter. The stories r very nice. Some of the texts r good guides. There r some conflicts btwn the old and new testament & the bible was STILL Scribed by men. There are also different versions of the bible ie: The King James Version etc. I dont know why you're so upset, Im not saying anyone is right or wrong. I dont claim my way is the way, or that there are absolutes. In fact ur the one claiming there is only one this or one that

    -Tko

  • What gives you the impression that I am angry? I have not reviled you, have I? If my words are too strong, forgive me. I don't look at all of this as a debate. Rather, it is a chance to hear from different viewpoints. It is also an opportunity for me to prove to myself what is true. Someone might bring up a point that I have never pondered over. In this respect, we should ALL be like children and ask Many questions, and then search for satisfying answers.

  • Btw Meg, Meditation and the heightened brain activity with untapped corners lighting up HAS been tested by scientists and proven..

    -Tko

  • Imma tell you a joke that refutes this point. Three human scientists representing the most brilliant among mankind challenged the Almighty to a test. They said that they could finally out-create their Grand Creator. So they all met at a low plain to decide who was the best. The scientists proceeded to pick up some dirt, but God immediately interrupted them saying "Get your own dirt!" The moral of this story is that Mankind is only learning how to implement what has already been established.

  • The Bible consists of 66 books. Forty different men were used to write down the words. They were from various backgrounds (shepherd boy, king, tax collector,physician,etc.). All of them didn't even live around the same time period or area--the writing covered a span of 1600 years. Yet all of its books stick to one HARMONIOUS theme--the Kingdom! A miracle in itself. All of these books agree with each other. Supposed contradictions spring up from time to time due to man's lack of knowledge.

  • Tonya, you're a well travelled, GORGEOUS woman. And no doubt you are rich with experiences. But we only live on this earth for what 70-80 years (probably +100 for special mightiness). Yet God is "The King of Eternity"! The "Ancient of Days"! Even Man's cummulative knowledge over the eras are but a drop in the bucket when compared to God's. Wouldn't you want to tap such knowledge if it is possible?

We can't even make a single blade of grass--can you make it thunder???

  • How can you prove God made grass? And yes thunder can be manufactured in one of those weather chambers

This is a circular argument. There is no way to prove God created anything, and there is no way to prove he did not... so theres just a stalemate. I dont involve in circular arguments they dont go anywhere... just round and round

    -Tko

  • You are "circular" in your thinking because it is all based on limited human understanding that goes round and round like the history of this messed up world. It is not for ME to prove that God made anything. Rather, I can direct you to the scripture that says "For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived from the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable."~Romans 1:20.

  • So with the same line of reasoning that you would conclude that every house has a maker, that's the same reasoning you should use when it comes to our Universe. Even scientists attest to how the Bible seems more accurate in saying "In the beginning, God created,,.", because they have discovered so much intelligent design in the minutest detail,,on the sub-molecular/sub-atomic levels! Our Earth functions with more precision than a finely tuned stop-watch.

  • Now what if I told you that YouTube, your computer, even your well-arranged dress and hair color just POPPED out of nothingness? That would sound unintelligent! Not mere speculation, but based on experience! There are MANY things in life that are invisible, yet they give evidence of their existence (examples being gravity,radio-waves,wind,etc.). So God being an invisible spirit person should not lead you to conclude He does not exist. Once again, the Bible introduces us to Him.

  • There's more evidence that the Bible TODAY contains its original message than evidence surrounding our Constitution--not to mention other uninspired literary works of old! So much painstaking work went into preserving the Bible, and its circulation is UNRIVALED! It was originally written in Hebrew and Greek (some parts in Aramaic). There are only minor discrepancies that can be cleared up by comparing other translations (and by researching the original language words).

  • Interesting subject! First of all, your hair color does look great! It makes you look more Carmelicious! Regarding Religion and Spirituality,,they are 2 different things. How would a person define spirituality? I would define it this way: Since we are material, spirituality has to be something that elevates us beyond material and selfish pursuits. Notice the fruit that it produces as enumerated by the Scriptures-- love,joy,peace,long-suffering,kindness,goodness,faith,,

  • (cont'd) mildness,self-control (Galatians 5:22-24). If a religion is deficient in producing these, I'd say it is spiritually useless. Christ compared false teachers to fruit trees. Trees producing rotten fruit back in his time were cut down (especially since they were taxed)~See Matthew 7:15-19.

  • love the color of ur hair

  • For the first African Americans, christianity started at slavery. If I was a slave who didn't want to take part in Christianity, I would have been an outcast or probably died because of my views. Believing in something that was never really for my culture to begin with is the biggest mistake. Confusing the masses leads to arguing and nothing ever gets solved.

  • I Feel ya on that statement. But "Christianity" as we know it now is the kind that apostasized from the Truth. Once Christ and his apostles died off from the earthly scene, the wolves in sheep's covering really manifested themselves. We got a new brand of Christianity that merged with the State--contrary to what Christ taught (See John 17:15,16;John 18:36; Also Daniel 2:44). Thus, the Slave Trade, the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, and other atrocities came thru Christendom.

  • I hate when I miss your show.

  • hey Tonya! i love this video but the difference between Santeria and Voudon is that they are based on different African traditional religions, two different practices. Voudon is from Benin Republic, Santeria is based on Yoruba religion in Nigeria. both these religions had to be mixed with Catholicism in order to be practiced by the African slaves. Yoruba gods and goddesses (Orisa) have counterparts in Catholic saints in Santeria. Voudon is based on different spirits that can be good or evil

  • Oh WOW! I see you are the Yoruba Princess! Thank you for dropping insight on this topic

    -Tko

  • Tonya I hope you do another show on this topic.

  • Wow Tonya you are really doing your thing. Keep on doing it girl. I wanna see you on TV like the Tyra banks show in like by 5 years. :)

  • You Tonya are also great at moderating a radio show :)

If you are interested in religion, I would recommend watching the zeitgeist movie.

    watch?v=UHiuaGJ46zo

  • that was a great film @brain96969

  • Yeah RootsRunDeeep they always find a way to brainwash people to manipulate them :(

Maybe you would also like the explanation by Naomi Wolf

    watch?v=RjALf12PAWc

    And Naomi Klein

    watch?v=FKr_soG4DUA

  • Who won? :)

  • There was no winner MTK, a lot of open discussion. For a touchy topic there were no raised emotions or fallouts. Im glad

    -Tko

  • santeria derives from yoruba- their african based spiritual practices.

  • I would have to do some more research, its been years for me, but plz tell me, what do you know about the difference btwn Voodun & Santeria?

  • Good show, you should have a part 2.

  • i dont think Christians completely *GET* what is ment by spirituality. i dont imagine any Christians saying they are not spiritual. They think being a christian is being spiritual, when in fact it is not because their following a dogma. if you dont see beyond the bible- then you are religious.

  • You are so right. This is one of the things that irks me about a lot of Christians.

  • Very interesting Roots and I see you got some thumbs down on this one... I guess people dont understand 'dogma'

    -Tko

  • Hey Tonya.......lol, yea probably from a christian *shrug*. that aint gonna stop me from callin a spade a spade. ..u said, "i guess people dont understand dogma" Exactly ! or that they're caught up in one. that's a good point.

  • also Definition of Dogma: (noun)

    1. A doctrine or a corpus of doctrines relating to matters such as morality and faith, set forth in an authoritative manner by a church.

    2. An authoritative principle, belief, or statement of ideas or opinion, especially one considered to be absolutely true.

Latin- from Greek: OPINION, or "belief"

  • your hair looks a little better here i think your confidence pulls it off i still dont like it

  • The way/road I see it the way to God and the many names he is called are many and various I would hope so for 6billion people and counting.

To me Religion is dictated by those who claim they were ordained to speak "the truth" .

Spirituality is to me uses our personal individual connection to God that knowing which we are all born with our personal lie detector intuition.

  • Know that the JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES preach/teach/act upon the TRUTH and have the most high gods approval and holy spirit.

  • you should lookup the words je+hovah for starters. Also, the founder of your religion, Charles Taze Russell, was a freemason. Freemasons worship satan. If the foundation is faulty, the whole thing is shakey. Do some research on your religion after the conventions and pray that you are following the correct thing. This is in love by the way...

  • I am NOT a Jehovah's Witness. However, I do believe that the JW's convey the TRUTH. I was Educated by the JW's about PAGAN HOLIDAYS and how they are NOT TO BE CELEBRATED/ The condition of the dead/ ect ect, Amongst other practices that FALSE christans "Christianity" False religion tolerate in there religion. There is only ONE true organization that the TRUE GOD through is HOLY SPIRIT work through. And he stated that you would know HIS PPL BY THERE WORKS!

  • Fair enough, and I agree that religions contain falacies...it's my opinion that an organization and their publications isn't needed to understand God's word. And why did they publish a translation of the bible that has over 40 verses of scripture missing? JW's may have morality and all but they have a different form of paganism..denying Christ's true nature and also denying hell. investigate your messenger because 1/2 truths are not acceptable to God. We mustn't be lukewarm....

  • We probably need to do another live show in the future talking about some of the pagan holiday incorporated into many religions as well as a patchwork of different ideas formatted throughout the ages, like the 40 principles of Ma'at and how the 10 commandments were derived from that... theres so much more left to talk about... Another show will definitely be in order

    -Tko

  • babes 2 hours.....holy hell...imma have to pause and continue tomorrow :)

  • "Holy Hell?" Hmmmmn :-/

    -Tko

  • @2smart4u2rtd i said dat wrd too lol "holy hell" =D

  • You look gorgeous!

  • wow. 2hrs...
