I've always found that Launch Octopus was easier with the X-Buster than the Rolling Shield anyway. Even if you don't cut his tentacles off he's easy with the X-Buster.

And getting through Armored Armadillo's stage without taking damage is a lot easier than you're making it seem in this vid. =P

You absolutely decimated Sting Chameleon like that. And that trick with Launch Octopus was something I never knew. Makes him easier than any sub-boss it seems. Way to go with all of this!

I seriously think I was luckier the second time I've encountered him in Sigma Stage 3. This time I got the good pattern at the beginning of the battle, so I didn't have to worry about his homing fishies of doom. But yeah, I guess my little trick against them worked for this first battle! =P

In The Launch Octapus Stage,You Could've Easily Taken Care Of The Falling Bombs Menace- The Ship That Drops Them Is Extremely Sensitive To Storm Tornado.

Boomerang Cutter can also be used on Flame Mammoth in order to cut his trunk off. When that happens, he can't throw out globs of oil.

Yes, you're right, but it wouldn't have been that useful to get the Boomerang Cutter before Flame Mammoth, for this run anyway. I knew that Chill Penguin, Storm Eagle and Flame Mammoth were going to be the first three bosses I had to destroy. Chill Penguin for the dash upgrade, Storm Eagle for the helmet upgrade and Flame Mammoth for the triple-charged shot. So Boomer Kuwanger had to be after those three, not before. ^^

That's because I've used the Boomerang Cutter (Boomer Kuwanger's weapon) against him right at the beginning of the battle. After he receives a few Boomerang Cutter hits, his tentacles will fall off and he won't be able to do his energy drain attack or shoot out homing fishies of doom anymore. Trust me, I was surprised when I discovered that little trick!
