Great story! Left me wanting a sequel though... Did the furry whistle blower get to eat the banana when everything was said & done? And did you ever bring her a banana again?
Makes me smile. One time, at summer camp, we all visited a very sad little homemade zoo. The camp bully was taunting a poor ape, when, having tolerated enough, the ape spun around and around and hurled out a spit that smacked the evil teen right in her kisser. Maybe there is a god.
haha thanks, Margaret! They certainly ARE like us and do exhibit similar behaviour to us for obvious reasons. I, too had a wonderful experience with a monkey in Rishikesh, India last year. On my last day there, my friend and I went for our usual coffee/snack at the German Bakery over-looking the Ganges and a monkey just came and sat in my lap; he just stared calmly into the open cafe at terrified patrons who then were amused when they saw he meant no harm. It was a great feeling and honour
In the early 80's i had a boyfriend from Switzerland, his brother came to visit us in L.A. and only spoke French, i was to entertain him while my boyfriend was in his studio. So i took him to the L.A. Zoo.
a very obnoxious man was taunting this elephant yelling and pointing and very high on something (unfortunately not on life)This elephant with it's trunk pick up, let say "elephant cake" and hit this idiot right in his chest !i really enjoyed this story in french retold.
What a fun story! I'm imagining possible outcomes... Were you banished from the zoo forever? Admonished sternly? Questioned in a secret zoo interrogation room, perhaps?

A great story! The zoo is a good place to hang out when going through difficult times. My hangout was Audubon Park in New Orleans.
