Every warrior should empty his pockets to make room for a healer or 2. Healers always get nuked quickly so need somewhere safe to hide in order to fulfill there role in a Bg and warriors pockets are normally warm and cosy.

This was before where the only reason you were over powered, is because you put the effort in grinding to become the raid boss you were. Of course he was a clicker. He coudnt just keybind all his stuff. He didn't have these OP mouses such as Razer naga and etc back then when it didn't even exist lol.
Using the amount of keybinds he did back then was considered good. Now the razer naga makes it easy. of course he wouldnt bind recklessness. that was a 30 minute cd

basically pat had access to death wish as arms. look at 3:25 and you will see death wish as one of his buffs

Vanilla was a joke. It was a grind, and people assume farming for fire resistance gear takes skill, no it just takes time, and once you finally had that gear you would hit 2 buttons over and over to do damage.
Oh and in pvp it was, whirlwind, MS, (op if they dodged)
Nostalgia! I played against High Warlord Pat in arena years after this video! The game was a mess back then, and very unbalanced, but the chaotic nature of the game made it so fun! MMOs don't always need to be about obsessive balance. The plays with gear and skill were godly, and everyone else aspired to be like them, and some eventually did! I never felt more rewarded in a game than I did in Vanilla WoW.
Heh, I have been playing Molten-Wow lately and holy shit, I miss "vanilla" or w/e the fuck they call it now. I quit when TBC came out and just came back to play a private server about 2 weeks ago. I remember when this vid came out, I was also an arms warrior GM back in the day on Shattered Hand.. with a good group I was literally unstoppable. Really wish Blizz would open a "classic" server :(

@Pamgin I most certainly do, was a proud owner of a Grand Marshal Paladin back in those days @ Executus EU -- however I wouldn't consider me to be a legend for that reason.
But take Vurtne for example, his gear was.. well awful, and people knew that -- they respected him for his skills, his ability to make the environment an element to friggin' demolish you.
You didn't want to meet him at Tyr's Hand unless you'd wanted to get CC'd in front of the Crimson patrols, I've learned that lesson,
@cype02 It wasn't just one of the best really.. at the time this was shot anyway it was the best by a *long* way, iirc it remained the best until Naxx came out (though Drake Fang was close if you were low on hit for some absurd reason)
Funny how cataclysm whirlwind does the same amount of dmg as in classic. +2k crits against 4-5k is 30-50% out of their health, while now its 15-20k against well geared players (about 15%)+Other nerfs to warrior, shows how bad direction warriors have gone to. Bad mobility would be cool if we would do alot more dmg.

Any kid with 200 rating who atleast wins enough to cap each week gets the SAME stats as the people who are "2500+". Want epics now? Run a 5 man or do 5-6 BGs... Want epics then? Those days horde was actually really good at pvp. The reason was simple, almost everyone played alliance so the people who wanted challenge moved to horde side. Blizzard tried to balance the sides by giving horde a pretty race and with that pretty race came tons of bad players and here we are today with tons of ungemed unechanted players running around dying left and right. Welcome to new horde
Some keyboard turning, a bunch of clicking. No bind on the PvP trinket. No bind on demo shout. I don't mind constant use of deathwish/reck/wf totem/etc, but come on. This wasn't good PvP even for vanilla. :(
I remmember this, warriors where an almost unstoppable force of destruction back then, I miss owning in pvp but I think if you get ther right gear you can still be pretty impressive as warriors are THE most gear dependant class in the game.
Damn., I wish I played Pre-BC and such I came in at Wrath -.- there's no doubt in my mind it was harder to play back in the day than nowadays, its way too damn easy people walking around with 150k hp is fucking stupid, I liked wrath even when 40k health you were a God
Watching how you played warrior back then makes me sad. Granted this guy was so OP noone stood a chance.. but the playstyle: Much fewer abilities, sure, but they also seemed more unique, like a simple whirlwind was scary back then. With cataclysm they reduced the amount of talents and they should've done the same with abilities. Classes SHOULD be vastly different from eachother. Damn this streamlined equality bullshit.

Funny how cataclysm whirlwind does the same amount of dmg as in classic. +2k crits against 4-5k is 30-50% out of their health, while now its 15-20k against well geared players (about 15%)+Other nerfs to warrior, shows how bad direction warriors have gone to. Bad mobility would be cool if we would do alot more dmg.

Are you kidding me Kemoke? Back then grinding out for the longest time actually meant something. Now? Any kid with 200 rating who atleast wins enough to cap each week gets the SAME stats as the people who are "2500+". Want epics now? Run a 5 man or do 5-6 BGs... Want epics then? AT LEAST 20 man raid or or grind your heart out in bgs. Dont even try to argue that epics arnt easy to get now compared to Pre-BC because you will lose.

ok..so go to Project phoenix private vanilla server,12x xp so it will take time it takes in cata to hit 60 its 100% blizzlike in all other matters with old honor system,i higly recommend
and if u dont know how to connect instructions on website and put all the stuff in 1 folder..btw im not admin or anything i just joined 2 days ago and it's amazing

There will be a server called "scriptcraft" compared to feenix, script craft's boss encounter scripts will be simmilar to blizzards, feenix is lazy and dident add all the blizzlike stuff, but scriptcraft will have it. im not an admin, ive seen hes vids of scripting stuff, and its amazing heres the links to hes ytube channel and website. Enjoy the classic world of warcraft as it were in retail!

If what u say is true...and Pat rly was one of the highest ranked warriors.. the skill lvl of top ranked ppl must have been pretty bad...for 1. he is back peddling: 3:15

Those days horde was actually really good at pvp. The reason was simple, almost everyone played alliance so the people who wanted challenge moved to horde side. Blizzard tried to balance the sides by giving horde a pretty race and with that pretty race came tons of bad players and here we are today with tons of ungemed unechanted players running around dying left and right. Some keyboard turning, a bunch of clicking. No bind on the PvP trinket. No bind on demo shout. I don't mind constant use of deathwish/reck/wf totem/etc, but come on. This wasn't good PvP even for vanilla. :(

I remmember this, warriors where an almost unstoppable force of destruction back then, I miss owning in pvp but I think if you get ther right gear you can still be pretty impressive as warriors are THE most gear dependant class in the game.

Watching how you played warrior back then makes me sad. Granted this guy was so OP noone stood a chance.. but the playstyle: Much fewer abilities, sure, but they also seemed more unique, like a simple whirlwind was scary back then. With cataclysm they reduced the amount of talents and they should've done the same with abilities. Classes SHOULD be vastly different from eachother. Damn this streamlined equality bullshit.
