@davidloveco I doubt it. I feed NLS and zucchini sparingly, and bloodworms only once or twice a month as a treat. For purposes of this video I used a few extra algae wafers to ensure the fish would be near the front of the tank where I could shoot them more easily.
@SPUD1880 It's playsand purchased from a local hardware store. This particular batch had quite a bit of small-grain gravel in it too, which you can see in the video.
@Someth1ngF1shy When this video was made I had three of them. Unfortunately two of them have died since then; one developed a growth/tumor and the other came down with dropsy. :( I haven't replaced them yet as they are pretty expensive.
@ryanfiller Cories are peaceful fish and don't bother their tankmates. German Blue Rams are generally peaceful as well (as far as cichlids go) but they do harass other fish which stray into their perceived territory. My male ram bullied my cories and I had to separate them. I would not keep these fish types together again.
Additionally, GBRs and cories are not really suited to being kept together in the first place, as cories prefer cooler water temperatures.
Breathtakingly beutiful tank you got there. I'm in the market for a new tank, wich will be a species tank, for either Denisons or Clownloaches. Btw your Denisons are wonderful.
@mrfolopi Depends on where you live, whether you're getting it as part of a kit or bare, what other supplies you already have, how you're going to set it up, what stock you're going to put in it, etc. I bought my tank as part of a kit for about $150CDN. Since then I would say I've probably invested about $1000 in it, maybe more.
I've gota pleco that looks just like yours, he's only half the size of yours right now though(comparing it to the size of your corrys)and already has a bushy little beard, so is yours a female or am i just judging the size wrong? & is yours called just an ordinary bristlenose pleco? when i bought mine they said it didn't have a common name, they called it an "ancistrus" pleco(which basically is the whole pleco family's name), also have a longfin albino bristlenose female plecp in a diff. tank :)
8 pearl danios, 1 male sword tail, 3 females (red), 8 cories (possibly elegant),2 angels, 2 pearl gouramis (male with female or female with female), 8 rummynose tetras
Currently but it might change. I was wondering lately if the danios might fin nip the angels. I'll try it out and if the danios don't work, i will probably replace th with khuli loaches.
my ten gallon is better

Very cool. I"m beginning to appreciate the Roseline sharks and you have a good mix for a community. How big is the pleco now?
dyamarick 5 months ago
@dyamarick She is a bristlenose pleco so that was more or less her adult size. Thanks for your comment!

wow, I feed one or two algae tabs to my 75 gallon tank with larger fish. Maybe the dropsy was from overfeeding?

I noticed you have corydoras and some sort of ram. I also have cories and considering getting a ram. Do they ever fight?

in the very beginning what were those fish with the red stripes?
TheBigRed47 1 year ago
@TheBigRed47 They have a few common names, my favorite of which is Rose Line Shark. The scientific name is Puntius denisonii.

@Sakaane aren't they called splashing tetras too?
