  • This song is about Earl Ledbetter, a local asshole from Bakersfield, California, who relocated to Texas several years ago he used to live on Michelle Street in the rosedale area! he is also known as "Earl Ledpecker"!

  • @LOUDNESSrocks . . . this song was written by Gaye Delorme - an Albertan from Canada. As he often said, he wrote it because he got tired of drunken people on the dance floor jumping onto the stage during performances. They were partying & they thought the band was, too. The event was the Calgary Stampede - hence the name "The Rodeo Song." Gaye wrote several other songs in that vein - having to do with his lack of patience for drunks in the audience - but this one seems to have been "the hit."
