I can do 7 in 3.37. I'm in avanced math class for third grade. I'm not one of the kids who is anoying or tatle tells. Also I'm in advanced science, and technology.
You know, I didn't know speed was a factor in working this puzzle. I just wanted to do it. I created this animation in a program called Scratch(freeware). If I speed up my video, I can decrease the time considerably, and it will look terrible. I did it slow for instructional purposes and it makes a good screensaver. It looks great and is very colorful and easy to follow. Check it out with or without music
COol but its not that hard once you understand the pattern. I am not sure how fast i am got i got it in 255 (minumum) on 8. Check my 2 videos on it out.
wow, my pc is doing 20 discs and its like on the 20,000 move on minimum moves

The solution to this game is.
1. If the number of discs is odd, move the smaller disc to the final tower. Else, move the smaller disc to the auxiliary tower.
2. Move the other disc, you will have just one possibility.
3. Move the smaller disk to the tower where he wasn't before.
4. Go back to the step 2.

127 is the minimal number of moves.
47 seconds is your time.
Now, 127/47 = 2,7 moves per second. Its very fast and impossible to do in this game in the movie.

ive gotten faster than that.
ive not played in a while
but I know i can average 4 Moves/Second.
Only on the iPhone though, not on this PCapp.
obviously mouse moves slower

level 7 is with 6 discs!!
(so you did 6 discs in 47 sec and 7 in 1.38) i did 7 discs in 92 sec now....so your not fast

great :) the shortest way is 127 moves , my friend does it on 1.28 minutes.
the solution is 2^n - 1 , and for 7 discs that would be 2^7 - 1 , which is 128 - 1 = 127.
